Hi Justin, I’ve been looking into the Simmons DA2110, but haven’t had the chance to actually go check it out in person. How does this compare?
Like you I can’t make a lot of noise at home, but have been contemplating using parts of my Yamaha dtx 6 kit for a low volume “acoustic “ band I play with sometimes. I’ve been really enjoying your recent videos and the direction you’re taking with your channel.
Having both, they both sound nice. I think the Simmons amps give you a few more options like being able to mount on pole stands, and XLR link features. They're probably equally loud. And thank you for the feedback!
Thanks for the reply! I know I’ll have to go hear the Simmons amp in person, but I don’t think I can check out the Donner where I live.
I’ve also been thinking about audible pad/stick noise if I use just an amp with a band and a small PA system.
@@terrykline3423 usually the tapping sounds don't stand out enough to make a difference. I've played with people at low volumes using amps where it was fine.
Thanks Justin, I had a Simmons sds9 back in the 80’s but at that point I played through a PA system with an 18” monitor.
My situation has changed considerably since then 😂
@@terrykline3423 I was in a band in the 90s where two guitar players played through 100w Marshall Halfstacks, with a full stack bass rig. I can't believe we used to play that loud!

Can you use this in a gig with bass ?
it's not designed for bass, I wouldn't recommend it

Hi hopefully you can answer this quick question looking to buy My Son an amp for his new electric drum set we got which is a donner we’re trying to find the best one for him. He’s just learning how to play drums which one do you think would be the bestfor his situation

@@demonicsweaters awesome it’s for my 14-year-old son he’s just getting into Drummond. We got him an electric drum set made by Donner and it has headphones they don’t work really well. He wants an amp we wanted to make sure we got a good one so thank you for the reply.
