Hola Hector, tengo una pregunta, al hacer el download del banco, y hago el procemiento para subirlo a la cuenta bancaria designada en qb, qb crea una cuenta bancaria nueva y no me da la opcion de seleccionar la que esta en el chart of account. La version anterior de qb me permitia escoger la cuenta bancaria y me preguntaba.

I have listened to quite a few TH-cam channels about the use of QuickBooks and I must say your channel is the absolute best so I thank you so much! I hear from other QuickBooks users there are duplications that could possibly happen within the bank feeds feature. Can you please explain to me how duplications would happen?
Happens when the bank brings the data twice by mistake.. not very common
I'm hearing that Quickbooks Desktop is having issues as of a recent update with Chase banking specifically. Many have reported issues in importing account info for more than one chase account simultaneously. have you encountered this issue and is there a fix?
Hello Hector. I'm always referring new QB users to your videos This new feature has me very excited. I like to post AP bills via the batch feature in QBD Accountant. When payment to the AP is made will the feed match and pay the way it does in QBO?
A bank debit for $2500 will need to select the vendor, THEN you can match the bill. It doesnt work like QBO

Very nice summary. Is a password/pin required each time one wishes to download new transactions? Or can QB save that information so it can be used each time without entering?

Amado saenz if you need the payroll details you need to enter the details manually prior to the bank feeds... bank feeds only brings the net accounts from bank

Thank you so much for this content! I have an employee that I am wanting to give some bookkeeping tasks to, but want to limit access to only one of my bank accounts. Enterprise seems to do a good job of this until I get to the bank feeds. The account I need her to have access to receives a very high level of deposits, but when I try to test it, it seems that I cannot restrict her from the other bank accounts if she is going to have access to bank feeds. Is there a way around this....bank feed access but only access to one of the bank accounts and no access to the credit card accounts?

This morning I am getting an error that this service has been discontinued on 11/08/2019? It has been working fine up to now? Is there perhaps a workaround?

Is there a way to lump the gas expense in ONE bucket? For instance, I pump gas 5x a month. I want to lump all 5 lines into ONE LUMP SUM in QB as Truck Fuel Expense for that particular month. TIA!

There is no rule that “removes” numbers
I work doing this for a while but one day the history of the bank never showed up on banks fees but if I try again say QuickBooks already got the last statement I download, I don’t know what to do Help please
You need to disconnect the bank and re-connect it

@@Nattymo97 Get rid of Pro and purchase Premier - more reports. Additional applications available. By the way I do not work for Intuit. If you purchase the Accountant version, you can open two QB files simultaneously. Suggestion - STAY AWAY FROM QBO. In addition the Accountant version has batch processing, which is very helpful if you are entering the transactions manually. Before you use Bank feeds, please read carefully as they are a dog to remove.

Yea.. ever since 2014 bank feeds in QB desktop have been awful. The improvement in 2021 is really significant
Hello, I just upgraded to Desktop 2024 I have done bank feeds before, on this new version I do not have a bank feed Center. is this something Intuit has to turn on?

I ran into trouble with some transaction the bank feed put them in the partially recognized tab, but they're actually new transactions needed to be added. However, it seems to only give options to confirm matching transactions already in QB or ignore them. I had to switch back to the old bank feed mode to mark them as not a match.

@@HectorGarciaCPA After entering payee/vendor, the account is automatically filled. It's especially useful for recording checks. For clients have many written checks, I usually just stick with the express mode instead of advanced.

Help! What is your screen size? And how do I change it? When the ‘add transaction’ box come up the bottom part doesn’t show because it’s cut off. I tried to resize but because you need to grab the bottom left corner (which I can’t get to) I can’t resize the box. I can’t seem to find what is wrong with the active box size that not allowing me to see the bottom portion.

@@Princarlee Double click on any window's/box's header and it will maximize... double clicking again will take it back (restore it) to the size it was.
HI Hector. I have never been a fan of Bank Feeds, especially with QBO. I am an avid user, for my clients, of QB Desktop using Accounting Version. Instead of the Bank Feeds, I prefer QBO files. However, I have to admit the new look of the Bank feeds might persuade me to ask my clients to provide me with the credentials to allow QB to download the transactions. Since I have various clients with payroll, I have another year to use QB desktop, therefore, my next purchase would be QB 2022. Thanks for your very instructive videos, however, I still believe QBO to be a terrible accounting program, however, I have to admit it is getting better. Most likely Intuit will force everyone to migrate to QBO which will be a complete shame and a sham.

Thankful for this video. I wish to have this feature easier to use. I am looking forward to more details because frankly it kind of baffles me. I would like to see a sequence system in place when using it, like other qbs modules. It feels like I have to jump around. Appreciate it!

I sooo wish they would add a column on the main screen for the job, so I wouldn't have to go into each transaction individually....as well as add an attachment feature....so I could attach the receipt and not have to go through the register. I can't be the only one who wishes for these availabilities?

When the bank feeds were transferred to our account they left out quite a few checks on 2 of our checking accounts. How do I add the missed checks to our account?

I’m new to quick books. When setting up bank feeds do I connect my personal accounts if I have used it for business transactions prior to getting my Business bank account opened? If not how do I put those transactions in?
Generally is business accounts only
But you can download the old bank transactions and upload those to QB. Format is normally CSV. If you go to banking, on the right there is a button for upload, it will also have a sample for you to view.

No bank feeds or QBO files for personal checking accounts. It only applies to business checking accounts.

As an accountant i refuse to use bank feeds in QB. I prefer to use the QBO files. I hope the changes to the QB bank feed changes my mind.
However I prefer Qbo's any day.

Dear Hector: I have been doing this for over 15 years and found Bank Feeds are just terrible. Many, many times they duplicate transactions and the rules are applied willy nilly, even though entered manually. The one issue I have with QBO files, is that it does not let me enter anything in the check number column, and then when I apply all the transactions, I have open each one to enter information in the check number area. Either ACH, or DM, or any number I want.
Caveat, I have not used the 'new' bank feeds, for QB, therefore, the jury is still out.
Please don't even talk to me about QBO, a real dog.

You need to download a .QBO file manually and upload it.
@@HectorGarciaCPA You can only obtain a .QBO file if the checking and credit card are business accounts, not personal accounts.

@@mholtz111 There might be some banks or credit card companies that may offer .QBO files; however, my experience with CHASE, BOA , TIAA and others only offer Quicken files and not QuickBooks QBO files for personal checking and credit card accounts. So which bank is providing you with QBO for personal financial accounts?
Personally I don't like this feature, I much prefer the classic mode for my business, which now because of a change Chase made, I am forced to use this Advance Mode. This creates more work for me and I do not like the fact that I cannot see the check register while I am adding charges.
