Margaret, this was so interesting. We've had pediatricians for a long time and we'be realized the importance of tailoring children's medical care to children's health needs. I think it's wonderful that more people are going into the geriatric fields now. There's certainly a need for it - especially now that people are living longer. I really enjoyed this video. Thank you Margaret, for all your wonderful videos. xo, Sue

Hi Margaret, I’ve been following your videos for a while now and hadn’t seen this one. Very interesting. From my knowledge of geriatrics and Geriatricians, it’s said that 65 and old is a good age range. It used to be 75 and older. As the doctor said, it could be for even younger people. I haven’t heard to talk about this subject, since this is 5 years old, maybe there is a reason. So glad I came across it. We need all the knowledge we can get as we age. Thank you. ❤️

Thank you for this wonderful information. I immediately went to the list and compared it with the medication I am taking. All was well except for the anti-allergy pill I am taking.
Thanks also to dr Kernisan. I knew I needed this kind of information but had no idea where to search. Margeret, I have learnt such a lot from you - the encouragement and information I have received from you are irreplaceable and such a blessing in my life.

Such an interesting topic, and one that I am seriously considering. Thanks! Adding additional comment: I'm surprised that more have not commented. At 62 yrs of age, I have multiple health concerns, which my primary MD does not always address to my satisfaction. I've been seeing this MD for over 15 years, so I am very reluctant to go to a different primary MD. I do plan to research the Geriatric specialists in my area, so it is very possible that I will take the next step.

Good that you are being proactive. If you like your PMD and have a good relationship, one option is to learn more about how common senior health problems should be managed, and then see how your doctor's care compares. Good doctors won't mind if patients say something like "can you help me make sure I'm not on medications that might affect my thinking of balance? I recently learned that these medications are supposed to be used with caution in older people." Good luck!
