Broken heart is and addictive situation, where the person who fell in love keeps idealizing the other person, keeps imagining rosy future with that person. In that case what she actually mourns is the loss of that "imaginary rosy future" instead of the real life with the real faulty person driving her crazy from time to time.

Web dev software engineering and coding careers are options since it’s possible to find remote work and they are also high paying careers. I’m not aware of the pathways to become one you would have to research this as there are many ways such as getting a degree certificate from boot camps google certificates etc but they seem good career choices for women since work from home is very possible

We should not infantilise women. We will all be held accountable for our actions & we must use our judgment & free will to make the right decisions Islamically. Falling in love, infatuation, emotional attachments can & do happen to many Muslims in the workplace, regardless of where they work. It definitely is amplified wherever there is no gender segregation. In the old days & even today, many married men, young & old like to chat(find any excuse to do so) or pour their heart out to the cute young female secretary, new recruit (thanks affirmative action), intern etc at work. They do not behave this way with their wives sadly as she has become too "old". The same goes for women. Many blush, chat & flirt with men higher atop the workplace food chain. This also happens at school where teen students develop infatuations or crushes & try to interact as much as they can with their (opposite-gender) teacher & vice versa. Prolly why I always heard it was never recommended for young women (early 20-30s) to EVER teach teenage boys. I know one personally who left teaching because of this. If your workplace is becoming a place of fitnah for you so much that you feel you are falling into sin everyday with zina of the eyes, heart, etc, it's your duty to quit &/or look for a better job where this won't happen again.

I am in that position now unfortunately. My father passed away and my siblings are young and still in school I not only work I also travelled since my country currency has low value. It is very difficult and I don't wish it upon anyone because sometimes you can set boundaries but people still won't listen. Be strong and build a wall that's what I am doing insha'Allah Allah sees my intention and not test me like that. I haven't fallen in love or anything but I have had many tests from men but Alhamdulilah Allah been with me every step of the way. I hope you have better experience insha'Allah.

If this situation occurred prior to you getting married, then it's not permissible for you to get married because you won't be able to do justice to your husband and children. When you get married, your priority is towards your husband and children. They have rights over you before anyone else. That's why you have to think carefully before getting married. Women ought to take responsibility as well.
