Excellent video. I'm a 65 y/o hiker with minor knee issues, especially on descent. I have been looking for ways to adjust my posture and step to make this part of the hike more enjoyable. Thank you Kennet and Chase!

What an important video with so underrated views! I can personally vouch for all the tips here with my back issues since 2008 but finally conquered since 2019. Mobility drills, strength exercises, better sleep, sun exposure, optimal nutrition and reducing sugar, carbs, refined toxic oils and inflammatory foods are all keys to success! I wish i learnt much sooner in my late twenties.

Really interesting Chase. I run a business called the Gait Clinic and play close attention to these things. I think though such a change should be done through phased increase. All good stuff but looking back at this do you still agree with the gorilla?

Can’t tell if I’m doing something wrong or if I’m just soft and need to get tough. After about 30 minutes with the pack on, the straps on my shoulders and the strain on my lower back is pretty uncomfortable.
I’m only 72kg so the recommended maximum pack weight is supposedly 15kg. I haven’t weighed it yet but my guess is that if it’s not already exceeding that, it’s very close. I have to take my MacBook Pro in case of work emergency so that adds a horrific 2.5kg. Getting rid of that weight would make this a lot easier.
I’m hoping with practice, it’ll become more bearable. I more or less figured out the optimal technique on my own but it’s definitely a bit of a balancing act.

I am sorry but the audio is not clear and the accent is almost impossible to understand even though the topic is super interesting
