I have been running Structural Distortion in the side board of every red deck since people started bringing Westvale Abbey to our game nights. I main decked it in my R/B vampire control deck, for the reasons you stated. Nice to see I am not the only one who thinks it is a good card.

These decks are absolutely my jam! Always love a good burn deck, and these (particularly the Season's Past variant) go above and beyond that grade. Although I have to ask, what would people say to the inclusion of a copy or two of Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh?? She's no Flamecaller, but she DOES cost three less. And if you can keep her alive for a turn, you can do five damage to the dome with her turn 4 and let her die off when you finally do get to drop your big Chandra later on in the game. It could just be a personal thing, but I've always felt that babby Chandra should have seen some play somewhere, and this to me seems like somewhere she could shine.
What about a Temur deck using Sarkhan, Unbroken and Kiora, Master of Depths? It would be nice to have a deck that uses both of them before Sarkhan rotates out. I think ramp, maybe using Omnath, some dragons and those planeswalkers could somehow work. Just a suggestion, but it would be nice if you can come up with a good one for us. Thanks! BTW, I love your deck ideas!
My local store has seasons past (black green) players that won that past few FNM events & they just added red recently, so this idea makes sense. -I believe your expensive version looks fun but I would change a few things in the side board. Also I am sure that Nissa or Arlin is a better choice then the 4 mana "destroy a land" spell. Yes, you want removal to be dead in their hand but you also need blockers or a ramp outlet for your X mana spells.
I'd love to see a Blue/Red Madness deck. My Red/Black Madness deck is one of my favorites, but I haven't been able to get a Blue/Red Madness deck to work.
Hey dev, I've been thinking about it and it would be really cool if you would do a double deck tech for the delirium deck, the first can be green black and the second one can be Abzan, I feel like abzan delirium can be a strong archetype in this standard.
So I tried it in both decks (should have mentioned this in the video), and it was just bad. I know dies to removal isn't the best argument, but Chandra dies to a dry Fiery Impulse, Grasp of Darkness, Ultimate Price, Silkwrap, and pretty much every other conditional removal piece in the format (Transgress the mind is another, plus even stuff that isn't played as widely, like Wasteland Strangler or Complete Disregard). She doesn't do anything the turn you play her, either, just takes up your turn 3 with a 2/2 that you need to have a bunch of cards in your hand to make work, and having a bunch of cards isn't conducive to burn, so if we play her late she's even more meh. The Seasons Past deck looks like it should be capable of fixing this, but it's not reliable in practice. Wow, that was longer than I intended it to be. Chandra rant over sorry XD

I was thinking that an Expedite in hand could make her more viable, but then I would need yet another red spell to make her flip the same turn, and I guess that is simply too much wishful thinking. I built a deck like this but I went with RB so I could do Alms from the vein (sort of a burn spell), Heir of Falkenrath, and Asylum Visitor. It kind of had a vampire sub-theme. But then I also added Thunderbreak Regent and Avaricious dragon for THE BEST burn spell in standard, Draconic Roar. It worked good (i was having a bad mana day when I tested) But I think I need to take out black and go mono-red.
Yo Dev, can you try your hand at making a modern black/green elves deck? I feel like most only use black for shaman of the pack but I feel like deathrite shaman should also see some play in the deck.
you can use radiant flames over kozilek's return in the competitive deck since your using two colors. while, admittedly, it is a little worse due to requiring two colors, it is easier on budget.
I feel like the spells you use could also be other spells, especially in the Season's past deck there are arguments to be made to include Ravaging Blaze or Rolling Thunder (as being (X)(R)(R) spells, so you can get it back along side an (X)(R) spell), also Burn from within might be an even more budget card to play (seeing it's in the intropack) as it also deals with indestructible creatures... ... ... As far as 'what's next goes', just stick to mono colour week :)

That is a late game play, usually. Im sure this deck doesn't intend to see many late games or desperate moves like that, but still a very interesting concept. I cannot see him played anywhere else besides what you mentioned anyway, so ehh, maybe it cooooouuuuld work...

How long is the current standard editions good for? I hear there is a new set coming July will that knock out any of the current sets for Standard and if so which ones as I do not know what set is what name. I only know the icons currently. I'm a bit rusty lol

you have less than a 30% chance of getting your seasons past by turn 8 if you're on the draw :/ I'm not sure that's good enough to bank on and I don't wanna mulligun for the 2/60 chance to start the game with seasons past in my hand because then I'll have less burn. Overall I am doubtful of the statistical consistency of the seasons past and am personally thinking to more Chandra would just be better
We're playing insight and tormenting voice though, and we can win without Seasons Past. Also the actual Seasons Past deck only plays 2, and we've got other six drops so we can't play a bunch of Seasons Past. It's not always all about probabilities.

Could you please explain the sideboard cards' purpose in more detail? Why Sin Prodder? Why Scab-Clan? Why Dual Shot?

I am renaming the nonbudget version as Summer in Southern California, because of all the damn fires that occur during the summer.

Seasons past is so good. has been amazing in everything I've put it in.
Also never thought to do a burn deck with it. Deck looks like crazy fun as well as good in the format

Okay so nothing rotates until September 30 when Kaladesh comes out. The sets rotating will be Dragons of Tarkir and Magic Origins, but nothing else.
