Autumnal Gloom is even better than I said it was! I conflated Grasp and Languish. I've been programmed into just saying both of them when talking about 4-toughness creatures. In this case, they obviously can't target it with Grasp of Darkness
So I bought this deck and LOVE it! Delirium is so much fun! The only thing I changed was I took out 1 Autumnal Gloom and put in 1 Obsessive Skinner. The skinner makes Hangarback so big quick with Delirium. So far I've played 3 matches and won pretty easily. This deck enables Delirium SUPER quick. Great job Dev!
This is by far the best Delirium deck I have seen constructed on the Internet. I wouldn't play play Vessel I would play Dead Weight. I think dropping to 22 lands and adding another Gitrog Monster and Hangarback would do, and gather the pack should be replaced with Traverse. But overall great deck.
Hey Dev, great vid on a cool brew. I've been working on the same kind of deck. I sort of wrote off Autumnal Gloom but now am adding that 4 in for sure. A budget option for Hangerback Walker would be Thraben Gargoyle, also an artifact and creature to fuel delirium. A 1CMC 2/2 blocker you can drop on Turn 1 against anything agro who you hope dies. In the late-game, he's a surprise, but expensive, 4/2 flyer as a bonus. Also budget, Biting Rain is a good sorcery to sweep the board of tokens. I also really like Pale Rider of Trostad, especially in the early game. A 3/3 for 1B and you can discard anything to fuel delirium. Discard a Thraben Gargoyle, you're halfway there. If you're missing one card type to get things going, you can pick and choose what goes in the graveyard to turn delirium on. My version is running 4 Tireless Trackers and 3 Soul Swallower. Yes, Soul Swallower's 3 toughness is an issue, but if you have enough threats out there with Mindwrack, Gloom and a growing Tracker, Swallower becomes all that more powerful in the deck. Thanks again for what you do. I'm new to MTG, since December 2015, and I'm always eager to see what you cooked up. I'm into deck building and appreciate your style and insight. Keep it up. I really appreciate this tech. My first go to colors are G/B. I initially picked up the horrific visions intro deck at my soi prerelease and have been slowly molding it into something for fnm. The insight in this video is a different direction then I was going with it but I see the need for some revision because agro is indeed a problem.
Honestly I've been really impressed with one or two sinister concoction in this deck. Discarding isn't amazing, but not only is it an enchantment in the bin and selective card choices for your delirium... It's really sweet removal for only a black mana. Scares people into playing big creatures, kills world breaker where ultimate price or grasp wouldn't. Personal preference but I like it at least in the board

Ok so I made this for fnm yesterday. And I played advocates over the hanger backs. Round one I was able to curve perfectly and had a gloom flipped, advocate with the +2, mindwrack with a gitrog out. That was against mono white humans. Round 2 I went against a mill deck and was able to grind through a ton of removal. 3 of my advocates died, 3 of my mindwrack and 3 glooms all in one game after awhile he had no resources and gloom smashed in the face for game. Had a hard match against coco but the last round I had board of gitrog, two advocates with the plus 2, and two hissing quagmire I had enough land to attack with the quagmires and so had 3 6/6 creatures with death touch swinging in. It was pretty awesome! :D

I'm just starting to play magic and I've started with a blue green clue deck and I've modified it to better suit the tireless tracker card can you do a version of this deck for a small town competition. Loving the videos otherwise I've been learning a lot
I play Sinister Concoction in my delirium deck. Works very well, helps with mana base + card types + getting delirium. And it make your opponent think twice before they play
I don't know how you feel about Behold the Beyond, but it is good for mass card removal and you can pull whatever 3 cards you want from the deck which speeds up the late game tremendously; perhaps a one-of? It is also very cheap right now, haha. Side topic, what are your opinions on the card Horribly Awry?
I've Piked and Kermited but not sure about suck fries? As far as mono black deck tech, I'm thinking Eldrazi's can make the Big Black deck pretty solid. 👍🏻
I've been playing G/B delirium since shadows came out and I gotta say if you're running a Nascency build Pick The Brain is really solid, easily worth taking a few damage on the ground to go turn one Vessel turn two break it turn 3 Pick The Brain and just completely gut your opponents deck of some big threat or removal. It obviously can work a little slower sometimes and feels blank vs aggro but just about any other matchup its really nice for.
If we are putting in 2-3 copies of Drownyard Temple and 4 copies of Llanowar Wastes, what land comes out? You said if we put in 4 Hissing Quagmire pull a Foul Orchard, so I did. Thanks for the help.
For the one car that's an ATM and it flips into a creature of the enchantment stays in the play for a full cycle of turns doesn't burn it up it's opponents please let me know thank you
This is what I've been brewing with, though i prefer gather the pack over the vessel. I'm running more targets for traverse, which can become really powerful in the late game. I feel like to the slaughter is more of a sideboard card as it only really shines against G/w tokens and I'd rather just have grasp against the company decks. I'm definitely going to try autumnal gloom though. Lets hope this deck gets a few pieces in Eldritch moon, feels like it needs something else to bump it up a notch.
Looking at this, I am thinking of going to 3 languish,1 gather the pack, 2 death caps, and moving To the Slaughter to sideboard (bring in for an opponent running heavy planeswalkers) for 4 Sylvan Advocates and 2 Kalitas. Any thoughts?

Keep the languish if you can we really need it against aggro. I'm also running Tireless Tracker instead of Hangarback Walker, and they definitely do some work. The extra card draw is fantastic.

+Aussie Allens This deck cleaned up at FNM lost to an Aristocrats deck in game 3. I had him down to 4 life but his husk got super powerful and 2 zulaport cutthroats were to much when he sacked them to husk. Other than that 3-1
ive actually been playing abzan delirium. stat cards are avacyn (shocker) inexorable blob, soul swallower. its a shame i dont have more autumnal glooms because they are soooo good in this format
i think you should drop read the bones for bitter revelation. it costs 1 more but i think it synergizes better with delerium. and deathcap makes the extra 1 mana a wash imo.

I have done turn 1 vessel turn 2 crack it, and get delirium, turn 3 autumnal gloom and flip it. And that's not really uncommon. My deck gets delirium pretty often and pretty early.
I think u should take out 1 grasp, 1 languish, 1 deathcap 2 vessel and 2 gather the pack and 2 hangarback walker to play 3 ultimate price 2 read the bones and 3 inexorable blob and 1 ruinous path, you kind of want to make this deck more removal based in the beginning and place big creatures when your opponent wears out, removing 1 grasp is good because on turn 2 it may not be likely to have 2 black mana open, ult price is a good alternative, u do not need 4 vessel because they aren't good in early game and if you have 2 in your hand it's very likely you will get pounded by aggro, cultivator is fine as a 3 of, the blobs are a good sub to hangarback if u have delirium, read the bones is a good sub to gather the pack because you shouldn't be worrying too much about life if you have more removal now and you also scrub then draw 2 cards which is really good to get what you need, then having 1 ruinous path is great because removal is key. I hope you consider this comment and please make more content. I love this channel😁

The problem with Soul Swallower is that it's to easy to kill it in the turn before it gains the tokens. It's fun when it works but it just doesn't work often enough to be worth including.
Whilst not very practical, Westvale Abbey is a fun card to play around with. Tutoring for an Abbey with Traverse when feasible never gets old. Also, +1 to Big Black Lives Matter.

This combination of Delirium with Advocates and no hangarbacks can get delirium that quickly anyway. Vessels are fantastic.

I shloud play a couple of Gitrog, cause white got many way to exile it. And no way to return it back.

Hissing quagmire is better than foul orchad in every scenario. Why is it 3 quagmire and 4 orchad not the other way around?
