This is my first time on your channel. You do very good work. Beautiful. The sound to me is just as, if not more important than the beauty. You seem to nail both!!
the front guitar veneer or front face is it possible to make accurate thickness without drum sander? could you please suggest to use alternate of drum sander as here in our country its not available to afford for cheaper drum sander.
thank you Eric. yes i have been watching for a long time . question do you shellac the inside of the guitar ? i understand from wood workers to all ways coat all surfaces of the wood so the wood will expand evenly . from what i am thinking it would keep the cracks down too. love that rosewood or at least that color of it . generally i am not a rose wood fan . why not put the fret wire in fingerboard before mounting it to the neck ?

Why don't guitar makers reinforce the area under the bridge? Under the tension of the strings, the top will begin to deform and there will be a hump due to which the height of the strings will increase. It's unpleasant to buy an expensive guitar that will definitely have this hump. Similar to the Gibson theme where the headstock breaks off and it has become the norm
The entire idea around the top of a guitar is to have only enough bracing/material to keep dit from collapsing. A slight hump is expected and doesn't affect time negatively. If it rises too much then it can be addressed by a luthier but a well built and maintained guitar should be fine. You'd rather have a great sounding instrument that may need maintenance decades down the road than an overbuilt top that is muted and dull but will never warp. ✌️

Interesting... my only criticism is personal taste ..that I don't care for the headstock shape .... kinda looks like a crocodile head to me .... but that's has nothing to do with your work .. I love it when I see people use hand tools as much as possible... makes you think about how the old luthiers from countries ago did it

I’m about to build my own guitar next week, i was told that building cutaway will be difficult for a beginner so he recommended me not to do it.
