Ah thank you!! I'm glad this video was more towards what you were looking for. I feel like a lot of people use the word "mod" when they actually mean custom content (like hairs and furniture and such).

Honestly MCCC covers almost all of the other cheat mods. Between that and satisfaction points there is no need to clutter your mods folder. Great video.
MCCC does have a lot in there! I feel like sometimes it’s just so much at once that it’s hard to navigate and find the setting your looking for so I can see why people would download smaller mods to fix those things instead of going through MCCC😊
Depends. It really depends on how you try to play. Without a lot of these mods the game feels hallpw

I feel like a group of 10 or 12 modders could make a better game than EA could ever dream of.
I think modders are lucky to not be part of a big corporation that forces them to make certain decisions. I also think that it helps a lot they have the creative freedom to not think about computer specs, cost etc. They can just create and that freedom shows for sure!

@@TheAnthonyMarlowe Thanks, I appreciate it! I work in an IT company and I see what business structure does with creative freedom. It’s not in all cases a negative thing because loads of mods broke and stopped being supported while the game is being kept up by a corporate working on it (doesn’t have to be a corporate ofc, can also just be a smaller studio). I’m just super thankful for the amazing modders in The Sims community that genuinely care about the game enough to put hours into making it even better and almost always for free!

Great video! I love Carl's mods. It's a small one but his Fertilise and Evolve All mod is such a big time saver if you do a lot of gardening.

I would recommend any mods by Adeepindigo, More kisses mod by Maplebell, Passionate gifts & Kiss N grind by Utopya, SNB Bank and Bills by Simrealist (a must for me), Mega interactions mod (add more friendly/romance interactions) by KatieMods, Carry up while kissing mod by Khlas, Simzlink & Doorbell by Lot51. Somik & Severinka Cooking mod, Littlebowbub grannies recipes
To improve the gameplay, I really like Lotharihoe sim spawn overhaul that prevents sims from other worlds to pop up in yours or there's one by Kuttoe called the Homeregions mod that does the same but more in depth. And also the phone call overhaul by Lotharihoe. This mod prevents among other things sim being invited to a bar or date in Oasis Springs when they live in San Myshuno (I personnaly hated it) so if there's a bar available in the world then they will likely get invited there instead of another world. These are my recommandations i have lots more but i feel lile those are the ones i would never delete

Fair warning to anyone trying adeepindigo mod for pre-teens to exist!!! It is outdated, abandoned, and no longer works with the most recent versions of the game :( very disappointing.
I love adeepindigo's Youth and Family Activities mod though, which works beautifully!
i don’t know if it’s just me but their mods break for me all the time 😞
@@diamond20044 Some mods contain a lot of script and then when the game updates they break 😭 It’s kind of the trade of that you make when playing with such game changing mods - they are amazing while in game but once they break it’s a pain

OMG, thank you so much for the tip on the Free Will Delay mod! I will definitely be downloading that tomorrow. I get so frustrated with my Sims trashing the actions I queue up for them, especially when I'm trying to get them to take care of their infants and toddlers. This mod might be a lifesaver!

Just a reminder to other players, few creators in this list are no longer active or retired. Check if their mods got adopted. If not, be careful when use, they might be outdated and will break your game.
That is such a good point!! I think this goes for all mods - checking if they are updated or maybe outdated is always smart since they can turn out to be quite game breaking otherwise haha. Thanks for mentioning this 🩷

I love that video! I do have a lot of those already or at least came across some of them. I would add a « small gameplay objects mods » category if I were to put my mods in categories. In that category Ravasheen, JaneSimsten’s skill mods would fall, as well as Flowfit and in the same vein as flowfit: there is the let’s get fit fanmade pack by Cepzid and Hakrabr!
(I also recommend MissyHissy’s mods for wants-based gameplay but this is very specific I’d say?)
Also: I heavily recommend bienchen’s mods for small « fix my game mods ». One I have is to have the « open » interaction on the first click and not in more choices when clicking on the fridge. Small but weirdly useful.

Oh, beautiful. I heavily used CC on my old laptop but not many mods, but I recently got a new PC and also just about completed my DLC collection, so I haven't been using CC and I've wanted to simplify my mods folder with more efficient and useful ones. I'm in about a dozen Sims Facebook groups and the mod recommendations in there are always pretty vague and jumbled, and this is very well-organized. You've just convinced me to try at least 5 mods that I've long been aware of but thought would be too complex or not worthwhile.
Also, my new PC monitor doesn't get as bright as my laptop does and I always feel like the Sims is HORRIDLY dark, so these lighting mods will be absolute lifesavers. Thank you for picking a few, good, simple, clean ones!

This is amazing! Lovely introduction to mods 😊 I started Sims 4 a week ago, haven't played since the first game (24 years ago now... 😳). My biggest gripes at the moment is not being able to queue actions, it just cancels the one in progress, and no customizable keybindings.
Glad that this was helpful!! 🩷 You should be able to queue up actions if that does not work then you could file a bug report at ea! But I agree with the custom key bind, I’d LOVE that 😍👏🏻

I love your mod and CC recs thank you!! I use few big mods mostly I use little fixes by littlemssam or kuttoe but I can’t play without Lumpinou’s mods for sure ❤ and lately I added Kuttoe’s Home Regions & Townie Demographics and omg I love how in depth it is the sim world truly feels like a planet with different cultures and not all sims look the same and have the same names etc it fixes the townie templates EA was too lazy to implement in newer worlds! And also MissyHissy Mods I love the Sims 2 and her Hobby, Personality and Wants and Fears Mod are reminiscent of that, makes gameplay more meaningful and interesting to me 😊 I was thinking about trying out Carl’s Gameplay Overhaul it fixes many things like fishing and makes gameplay harder and more emotion focused and not just fulfilling goals but I’m unsure at the moment.. I like it most when the game feels like “vanilla, but more” 😅

PandaSama childbirth mod is fantastic; it works with Lumpiou's RPO, too. I use both and it makes it a little more realistic.

It can be that some links are outdated, I’ve tried to update them all but because it’s so many sometimes miss some. For the LittleMsSam mods I link to her general mod page because she doesn’t have pages separate for all her mods but more a long download list

wow thank you for this video i am downloading a bunch of mods now.. I do not use mc command to be honest cause of the last exeption warnings all the time its very annoying to me. And i see the same thing with other you tubers who use that mod.. ui is for me the best mod to replace mc command.. :)
Technically you only get last exceptions if any of your mods or cc are broken or not working properly so they are a helpful warning. But honestly, I feel this 😅😅 I had a time where I had so many and it did get annoying haha
I you use clubs, I would recommend getting a mod that ads more icons for clubs.
I do use clubs and I think I used to have this mod but honestly I needed this reminder to get it again!! Thanks! I agree it’s a great mod 😊
The Explore mod looked really good but it doesn't work, doesn't even show up in game even after removing a bunch of stuff to see if there was any conflict. But now I have a bunch of other new things to play with so thank you for this video :D

I so wish you could use mods on console!! I know other games (for example fallout) can be modded on console so it always makes me sad that The Sims cannot do that!

@@milaMcCullagh Reinstalling a mod is just deleting it from your existing mods folder (like the folder for that mod) and then installing the new version you downloaded exactly like you'd install any mod. No more steps required :)
If I have Memory Panel installed, would replacing it with Milestones Expanded cause some errors or is it chill bc same creator? (Swapped them, no issues and memories kept, pog.)
I have no idea, I would check both mod pages because usually conflicting mods are listed by the creator especially if it’s made by the same person :)

heads up better build buy mod tends to hide your build/buy cc
That is actually one of my fave features of the mod! That I can turn off my cc without taking it out of my mods folder. Makes it so easy to use cc but also hide it when I don’t want to build with it!

Yeah unfortunately LittleMsSam moves their mods on their own website from time to time and there I cannot keep up with all the changes 🥲 If you want you can always use the creator name and the mod name and find the latest link through google. I try to keep the links updated but the keep changing faster than my upkeep 😅😅

@@RosannaTxt I tried isntalling it once and it was pretty heavy I think, or maybe I'm getting confused with a diffrent mod (I'm speaking size wise!). It was also a bit too intense I think. I did install the Sunblind one and it's gorgeous!
@@romysv oooh in that way!! Because it’s a lighting mod I thought maybe you were looking for an actual lighter version hahaha. But yeah correct, reshade is indeed quite a heavy mod to run as it asks a lot of graphic power from your pc/laptop! But glad that sunblind still works because that already does so much!!

my script mods won't work :(, there is one or two script mods that is work, but most of them didnt. Any advice for me?
If some of them work then it means your mods are turned on in your settings but just to be sure you can still check it to be sure. With most updates they turn off and you have to turn them on again. Otherwise it could be that you’re installing them wrong (as zipped files or too many folders deep). The last thing I can think of is that some mods need the XML injector mod to work properly. It’s usually stated on the mod page if that is the case so it could be worth checking out!

Is there anyway I can get these without joining a patreon?
All of them are free and you can get all of them without joining patreon. Some are simply posted on patreon but they are not locked behind a paywall so the download link is just available through the patreon post which is public!
Is there a mod to make sims stop autonomously getting glasses of water? It drives me crazy when they keep doing, especially when they already have to use the toilet. I’m like fine, that bladder failure is on you.
You can turn autonomy off without a mod (just in de game settings). If you don’t want to fully turn it off there might be a mod for this, I’d suggest looking on LilMsSam’s website as they have SO MANY small mod fixes!!

@@SandraLabiche Most mods on this list/in this video are basegame compatible :) very few are pack limited and if so it’s clearly stated on the download page! ☺️
what dies it mean when It says "currently not in game.." like can I still get the mod?
Absolutely! It just means that I currently don't have it in my game. But as I have active let's plays here on YT and on my Twitch people often ask which mods I have in my game. So I made sure to list everything that was once in my game (aka something that people could have seen in one of my videos) but then labelled it as "currently not in my game" so people who are watching recent video's will also know. Hope that make sense! 🩷 But you can absolutely still get them :)
I wonder if sims is even worth it sometimes. The amount of mods I have is unholy. I’ll do so much work organising my mods just to not play the game.
At this point finding, downloading and organizing mods feel like part of the game to me 😅🤭 but I feel you, there is so many “fix” mods needed to make this game feel smooth that sometimes that worries me
Some of these mods are blocked by a paywall, incase anyone comes to the comments.
All the mods on this list should be free, I did not pay for any of them. Some of them have updated versions that are currently in early access but then the previous version (that still very much works). If you could direct me to the ones that you are seeing as paid I’m more than happy to take a look if I need to update any links 😃
