Late to the party with this challenge but love the idea of it. I always plan out my legacies and note down the story as I go. My starter sim is called Marissa Oakes and the backstory so far is her father raised her by himself when her mother passed away when she was younger. She moved away for college but once her father dies she decides to move back to her family home and take over where her father left off. Can’t wait to get stuck into this challenge!

At least Myles will be able to help with a baby's needs since he is aging into a teen. I love how sometimes the game takes the story line out of our hands.

See I'm create at coming up with a story line and ideas for all the sims. The problem is actually starting it.

I'm about 2.5 years late, stumbling onto this massive let's play, but I'm glad I did. I manage to watch about one video a day, usually right before going to work, so it'll take me a long ass time to catch up, especially because I notice you're still adding onto it, but what the hey, it's a great watch. At least the first few episodes so far.

Am I the only one going in circles trying to find the actual link to the CC? I got to the description where it says "Links from video" and when I click it, it sends me to the Notion page where there are only videos to click on. When I click on the video it sends me back here. Am I missing something? Please help.

Free relestate. That I didn't know. I usually just use the MONEY cheat and when I'm done building I use it again to determine how much they actually have.

Just need to make sure you keep an eye on where they put the tablet. Any of the portables really. Sims will tend to put it down randomly and if you don't know where they put it down then you just have to buy another one.

You can go through leaving the house if you want, the modify in CAS feature is handy,but you can also while controlling the sim you want to change just use a mirror to change Sim. If you don't want to use cheats. Also if you use testing cheats with CAS.fulleditmode you can change any SIM and thier household member's without having to take them as a played household. Also you can modify traits with shift click add trait but it's one at a time. Maybe not such a chore with 3 but I have a mode that gives my sims 10 traits. Those traits do not show up in CAS unless you start deleting traits then you see them 3 at a time. Also you can take control of a household, modify them to your liking and then leave household and unfavorite the households which throws it back into the unplayed Sims category, but now they have all the traits you want them to have. Bit of a pain and time but if you like that you can have Sims you don't control having the traits you want them to have.

I cant figure out how to get the dropdown menu from reach to work on a empty part of my spreadsheet😢 once i put in the correct things the words show up but i cant save it to have it stay there.... Ravasheen has a great mod that turns the cupcake machine into a cute piping bag that just places nicely on the bench top. A real space saver! In my playthrough I decided to have my sim sell wedding cakes and it’s been pretty profitable! She sells about 4-5 per day for around $2000 each with pretty low overheads especially if you prep the ingredients. Love the series, and the idea of passing down the recipe tin is gorgeous!

One tip i don’t see people talk about is that you can change aspirations at any time. So if you are doing something related to another aspiration, you can just switch to it to get some quick points. I switch to the money ones occasionally to update them and get my points, or when I garden or cook or paint, switch to those aspirations. If I’m doing geek aspiration and get stuck because I’m in the wrong career, switch to other aspirations. I can complete like 5 aspiration paths as a young adult just by working in them in parallel.

It was funny to me to hear you say that the early grind of the Sims where you struggle to make enough money to pay your bills is not for you, because I play with so many mods and my own homemade rules that make it so my sim families are pretty much always struggling for money. Whenever they're about to stabilize financially and finally start being able to save some decent cash, I introduce another element that brings it back down to the danger level. A new baby in the family, something expensive breaks down, the funeral of grandma dearest still needs to be paid off, money needs to be saved to send little Vanessa off to college etc etc. That stuff ain't free in real life and it ain't gonna be free for my fictional make believe families either, dammit! I don't know, the struggle to make ends meet is fun for me, lol. I enjoy living on that edge of barely making money. It keeps me motivated to keep playing. Makes me have to work for every upgrade I put in their lives and keeps me very invested in the household.

Double comment: you do refer back to previous generations. Gen 5 Dine Out refers back to Gen 3’s bakery and then I believe, some other generation refers back to spellcasters and vampires. I just read ALL of them the other night to kinda plan out what I was thinking for some future builds (and to explain the challenge to someone who doesn’t use Notion) and somehow I’m forgetting it too 😂

Ravasheen does a cupcake factory replacement object IIRC that’s small and doesn’t require the ugly EA monstrosity (it’s called the A-Dough-able Cupcake Maker). I was using that in my bakery. Also I feel you on shitty employees. That lag you mentioned? Happened to me with Carls’ mod, which is why I stopped using them. I had to take it back out (just put it back in figuring it was updated, it might work better) only once I did, suddenly my employees (including the ones available to hire) had ZERO SKILLS. It was painful. Also people keep snatching my items I did not mark for sale (decor etc). Not even paying for it! Cute little two seater table/chairs outside my bakery? Yoink. Windows? Yoink. Counter for my til? Yoink. I was using a mix of Harrie’s Spoons set and a Felixandre set but I gave up and defaulted to a mix of Home Chef Hustle and whatever comes with Get to Work. There’s a few Harrie and/or Felixandre sets that have redone objects for bakeries etc but even those don’t seem to be coded right for people not to snatch them as my whole display shelf was taken (with the baked goods in it) and again, the sim didn’t pay. It’s not the klepto trait, either, as I’ve had it disabled in MCCC so no sims at all in the game will have it. I also purge any sims with the klepto trait when I load up a custom save file for the first time (either removing the trait or just killing the sims >.> ). Not sure if that happened to you all - the random thievery I mean. Also would you mind sharing your videos you watched on retail? I could only find one from Petey Plays It that didn’t help much at all. I’m on Bluesky as simmyshuno (my display name is Plumbob SquarePants) if you have the time. Ty :3

I play rotationally and always ensure I have an animal enthusiast running a farm in Henford-on-Bagley, a cat/dog lover in Brindleton Bay, a macabre sim living in Ravenwood, a few clubs, a sim running a shop, a residential rental owner, all the selling points of the packs basically.

Thank you soo much, been playing sims since it first came out but only just recently started adding CC to my Sims 4 game. Love your channel too so thank you for your hard work putting this together as it can be such a minefield if you new to this. One thing I'm struggling with is finding CC for more like Moroccan/Asian build buy stuff, I'm renovating Oasis Springs and there is a lot of ikea modern stuff which i like but not fitting in what im trying to build at the moment. Can you recommend? thanks x
