Brilliant mate really enjoyed that. Loved the clip near the end with the large flocks of birds. I’ve often thought of fishing that spot? May give it a go for the Gilts in a few months🤷♂️
Very different to the normal fishing vids I watch. No self centred ego. LOL. Lovely atmosphere and filming showing what fishing should really be about. Well done.
Cheers mate! Yeah it was such a shame the flatties didn't show, probably none about at all. Loads of crabs, baits only lasted a few minutes so switched to pop ups. Defo have a go in summer though!
I stopped watching youtube for a little while when I pop back You are there its channels likes yours that keeps me going You are truly amazing and your channel is fantastic. 👍👍
Made me wonder about the history of those old wooden pilings around you. How old are they? Who built them and why? Enjoyed the video, I need to do similar at Hillhead for thornbacks again soon.
Hi Robert. Yes, they had me scratching my head too, the brick wall foundations there are also a mystery. Obviously some kind of a building once stood there, but what? It would make a wonderful spot for a birdwatching hide!
Production quality is second to none at the moment mate , a lot of the other guys could learn a thing or 2 from watching your videos all that before we even get to the actual fishing
That was funny I shouldn't laugh 😆but if the tide got any higher someone would have a great swim back 🏊♀with all that gear Stu don't buy it will you 😱great video as always thanks for sharing 👍
I had everything hung on the tripod and was thankful I was wearing chest waders, I'll tell you that much. Yes indeed, I was asking to tide to stop rising at one point! High water was 1:33 and I think it stopped rising around 1:40. Cheers for watching!!
Cheers Martin. Yeah kind of wanted the pictures to do the talking. Seemed a shame to keep dipping the music to point out the obvious so happy to let this one go untouched.
Haha cheers Matt. Yeah it did get a little worrying for a minute or two but it was a magical day out there. Solitude at its best. Be great in the summer I think 😎👍
Thank you enjoyed everything so well filmed and put together 👍
Always a pleasure, thanks so much for your kind words!
No words needed; lovely film.
Wayne thank you so much. That was the idea, so pleased you tuned in!!
Awsome footage, yet again great to see the wild life. Well done buddy.
Cheers Deano. Yeah wanted this one to speak for itself, such wonderful birdlife round that way. I actually felt like the intruder.

Amazing cinematography. Every bird. Every stone. Every step of your experience, just stunning.....
Many many thanks Henry. So glad my efforts are well received. Appreciate it!
Absolutely brilliant Stu, so good. I used to get my peeler crabs there 🦀
Yeah I can see it being a good spot for that, there's no shortage of them. Hope you're good!!
Possibly the most enjoyable fishing video I have ever watched so far, the music is also very well chosen. Excellent.
Trevor thank you so much, so glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you for taking us along to an island, few of us will ever get to stand on ourselves and experience it's surroundings and wildlife first hand.
My absolute pleasure. So glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!!
Brilliant mate really enjoyed that. Loved the clip near the end with the large flocks of birds.
I’ve often thought of fishing that spot? May give it a go for the Gilts in a few months🤷♂️
Oh yes defo, the gilts will love it up there! Those birds usually flock on that island, so when I kept still they almost landed on me. it was awesome!
@ It certainly looked it, great footage.
Very different to the normal fishing vids I watch. No self centred ego. LOL. Lovely atmosphere and filming showing what fishing should really be about. Well done.

Absolutely fantastic 👏👏👏😍
Cheers mate! Yeah it was such a shame the flatties didn't show, probably none about at all. Loads of crabs, baits only lasted a few minutes so switched to pop ups. Defo have a go in summer though!

Welcome back Richard!! Thanks for the continued support my friend!!
Great Video Stu. Love the wildlife and fishing from the Island. Would'nt fancy being there on a spring tide though😅
You and me both! It's gorgeous out there! Little bit hairy when the tide came up though!
I have fished off that island for over 70 yrs known by the oldies as cockle bills , remember a two storey house being on it my younger days.👍
Wow, I did wonder, what with those foundations and bricks everywhere. Thanks for the info. Cheers!! 😎👍
Wow,Stu. Private pepple more like. 😮 cheers and tight lines.
Haha, cheers Nick. Yeah it did get a little hairy there around high tide!!
I really enjoyed watching this thank you for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching buddy!
Fantastic birdlife!
It really is! I often go there for walks, but this time I took a rod. I think that was just an excuse to stay longer!
Made me wonder about the history of those old wooden pilings around you. How old are they? Who built them and why? Enjoyed the video, I need to do similar at Hillhead for thornbacks again soon.

WOW, that was absolutely brilliant, just goes to show that you don’t need to catch anything or talk over it.👌🐟🎣
Glad you enjoyed it buddy. Yeah we were spoilt with quite a bit of beautiful scenery on this one, it always helps.
@ You certainly nailed it 👌

Production quality is second to none at the moment mate , a lot of the other guys could learn a thing or 2 from watching your videos all that before we even get to the actual fishing
Appreciate those kind words. Just want my films to be out there on their own, my own little style and it seems I'm creating that. Cheers buddy!!
That was funny I shouldn't laugh 😆but if the tide got any higher someone would have a great swim back 🏊♀with all that gear Stu don't buy it will you 😱great video as always thanks for sharing 👍
So true, if it got scary I'd have called for the coast guard, but I was fine. Thankfully!!! Thanks for watching buddy!!
Another awesome adventure by SK at any point towards high tide did u think this is going to cover the island
I had everything hung on the tripod and was thankful I was wearing chest waders, I'll tell you that much. Yes indeed, I was asking to tide to stop rising at one point! High water was 1:33 and I think it stopped rising around 1:40. Cheers for watching!!
14 minutes of pure pleasure
So nice of you to say, so pleased you enjoyed it!!
Whats the lure fishing like from there?
I had one go in the summer and caught a couple of small ones. Worth a crack!
Great video Stu.
But it just needs your usual voice over.
Cheers Martin. Yeah kind of wanted the pictures to do the talking. Seemed a shame to keep dipping the music to point out the obvious so happy to let this one go untouched.
