I’ve been obsessing over that photo, wishing I could have her robe. When I first saw it, I died, and have had a mighty need for a robe just like it. You did a beautiful job recreating it!
🕸️🕷️ this is so cool! I love it! Fantastic work and thanks for being honest about not yet having handstitched down every spiderweb because of how time-consuming it is. Love the honesty.
Wow! What an amazing work of art! It looks exactly like the original! I've loved this robe since I was a little girl. So, you can imagine how fast I clicked on the video! Thank you so much for sharing all of your creativeness. 🕸
@NasyaAcostaSmith lol you don't have to, they were all playing in our heads! Once again, beautiful work, the robe and the production, how are you not super famous yet 😍
some tips for working with lightweight/slippery fabric that i've found helpful. instead of laying the fabric directly on a slippery surface like a table lay down some fabric like cotton muslin or flannelette first. the fabric underneath will give some grip and will have the chiffon moving around less. i also suggest using a rotary blade when cutting slippery fabrics. when you use scissors you have to lift the fabric slightly which causes it to shift. if you use cotton fabric underneath and a rotary blade you will end up having to sacrifice the cotton fabric but you can go to any thrift store and get old bedsheets. that way you don't spend too much on fabric
Wow that was alot of work! Gorgeous though. I think id probably just embroider the webs with silver thread. I dont think id be as patient as you. You could have also changed it up and crocheted some silver thread spider web doilies. And sewed them on. Or maybe that could be a summer bathing suit cover up idea. Imagine that sparkling in the sun. But your robe certainly needs to be seen. I hope you get to wear it outside of the house.🕸🕷🕸 Its hard to choose a costume there are do many. Maybe Mina's red gown from bram stokers dracula. Or Morticia Addams black dress. So many styles between victorian, edwardian, georgian time periods. And then there is Vivienne Westwood 🤌🏼🖤
This is incredible! 😍 I’ve always loved that robe and wanted to make one - now I might actually attempt it, thank you! Please can I ask where your amazing spiderweb compact is from? ✨🖤🕸️
Thank you 🖤 You totally should! It was a limited edition compact from Bésame but they have released other similar limited edition spiderweb compacts since
Beautifully executed! You are quite talented and inspiring! I am new to your channel. Did you make your snake pin cushion or purchase it? I would love to make or buy one!
