In the late game I would play the bird then draw before taking eggs. You drew the turn after but then you already had committed to taking worms. Going card draw first allows you to get more info on what food to take.

I would've used a berry for the nightengale and then when activated, providing a berry (less useful for opponents) to play the indigo bunting

Berry potentially less useful, but also harder to get hold of given that birdfeeder state. At least giving away a seed is giving away something they could get hold of if they wanted. But if that berry was exactly the food they needed to play something from their hand then it could be a big mistake!

How does the AI have 9 tucks already?! I may have gotten derailed by the cuckoo and yellowhammer with behaviorist and/but I definitely think that's one of the bonus card pitfalls, where you shape your game around the bonus card which in the end may only get to 3 or 6 points.

Good catch! Definitely think there was some funny business going on there with the flamingo... never seen it behave that way before!
Agree it's easy to fall into a trap like that, you can have some grand plan where the bonus cards and birds work in perfect harmony, but then if things are just that little bit too slow in round 1 you can so quickly and easily fall behind and struggle to catch up.

Yeah something weird there. At 8:53 it shows five tucked cards, but it has only activated wetland four times and could only have tucked one each time, cause you'd only drawn cards once so far.
And when it's on 9 tucked birds at 9:25, its wetland had only been activated five times 🤔

I would have picked the golden eagle, the bunting, and the pink card bird.😮

The only thing I really disagree with you about in the early game is that nightingale activation for wheat. You didn't really have a use for it and feeding your opponent food when they don't have a good forest is a bad idea imo.
This final round hard. I hate getting food in the final round for 0 points, but since you can re-roll the feeder and get 3 food you can guarantee to get the red knot down next turn if you get at least one worm from the re-roll. From there use an egg to draw an extra bird for visionary leader. And at that point you would have to reassess your last 2 turns based on the new bonus card and newly drawn birds. But one of them will definitely be laying eggs.

Definitely a risk activating the nightingale when I didn't have a use for the food. But so many times I will skip it and then find myself needing the food later! It's a very tricky decision.
Agree the last round was hard and not a typical scenario, but it was useful to work through I think. Typically you have most of those actions laying eggs, but when you're already full on space you can't exactly do that!

last round, full of eggs; likely need to draw cards; play canvasback and then draw cards
