7 hours in, always ranked last in every online game I played. It's crazy how easy this game can makes you think you are a fucking genius and you do some sick strats and well laid out actions just to be shy of 20 feathers on the results screen.
Good video. I appreciate that it's kept general enough to be almost always applicable. I would've added that resource gain almost always trumps point gain in the early game.
I’ve been playing Wingspan for years and made content talking about how it’s my favorite game. But this is by far the most helpful strategy video I’ve ever watched. Great work.
Thanks for putting this together. As somebody that is new to competitive Wingspan, these types of videos are so valuable. Would love to see more in the future. Thanks!
Great content. Could be helpful to hear your thought process about conversely why you choose to pass over the other cards, such as the chaffinch or the teal mass tucking birds.
I just discovered your channel after buying Wingspan on sale, and the content is great, very informative! I've been binging some past videos and having a great time.
Scenario 2: I would probably keep the yellowthroat and grebe as well, but not play them both round 1. Considering round 1 and 2 goals i would want something in the grassland over two birds in the wetland. e.g. nabbing that starling or better

My strategy for Wingspan:
*Draws card* "Oh, that's a cool looking bird! Let me play it!"

Great suggestion! I'll look at covering that in more detail next time

Welcome! Glad you're enjoying the videos
Fun! I have been playing online and wondering how people are crushing it! Half the time I'm picking based on vibes hehe
Thank you. Great video
For the first had where you kept the Grebe - would you consider grabbing and playing the gull first in hopes the opponent has a fish you can steal?
You gatta grab the gull immediately anyway, it's not the kind of bird that stays in the tray for long
So I think this is the correct play

Love your channel. Installed discord. How do I find other wingspan players?
