Agree! I watched this interview that a ex scientologist channel was doing. He was interviewing these two guys who wore spyglasses inside scientology and got amazing footage but the interviewer just never let them speak and just kept going on and on and on about himself and it was just...so bad😂
So very true. She nods, makes encouraging noises, she really has the full focus on that individual, like, "My channel and I are here to listen". She wants to learn and wants US to learn. And nothing about it feels forced or fake. There is another prison youtuber (who I actually love for how passionate they are about prison reform and helping others) who really struggles with this and has a lot of difficulty avoiding the problem of taking over interviews! I think this person has so many thoughts and they ALL want to get out at once before this person forgets them. They also empathise so strongly that it's difficult to hold back sharing their own story with the interviewee. It has to be really hard, so I'm impressed with how good Jessica is at this.
You two need to get together and travel to school etc. Talkkng to young children/teens (all ages) I believe with all my heart you guys could reach out and save a lot of young men and women. I wish I had someone like yall when I was in middle school right before I started going buck ass wild. I think I would have gone down a better path than I did. I love you both so so so much!
I think someone mentioned this idea on Christina’s channel and she replied that she probably couldn’t because of being a violent offender but even if she could speak in maybe adolescent mental hospitals (I was in one at 14 for depression and most of us could’ve really used a mentor) or maybe even if she spoke at like support groups or something would be a cool idea. I wish I had someone like her when I was younger. 🙌🏼

We had something just like that when I went to school. It was called the d.a.r.e. program and I swear it made me want to try drugs even more, but I bet they would do a way better job than that program ever could do!

I also love dissocidid been following that system for like... over a year now but yeah i love them all and I know she has had changes happen but I do love kyle... Also i have severe anxiety cuz of my childhood and I know its something ill have for forever... but i just had to learn how like tame the beast so to speak... and im dealing with really bad grief and loss right now so I feel worse than ever somehow and I thought i was "better" but I realize our mental health is a constant thing ya know and you will never just be better and nothing else I mean stuff can still happen to us to make depression or anxiety worse all of a sudden... i just guess I thought after high school it took me years to figure it out and thought I had it all figured out but honestly I didn't yes I learned a lot but I didn't Crack some code that made it so my anxiety was not a thing anymore... im just glad ppl talk about mental health so much more than we did when we were kids
Christina openly said she wasn’t herself while she was in Chicago with Jess. She was really stressed out and anxious about the corona virus. She does have an anxiety disorder so I understand why she was so anxious here.
Yeah she’s definitely comfortable but as someone with a anxiety disorder as well sometimes even if i feel super comfortable with that person. I just seem a little quieter

Having lived in a foster home as a kid the only advice I can give you is just remember how dramatic the kids life probably was before you came along. Remember that every time you get mad at them or they act out. Nothing hurts more then somebody coming to save you and then giving up on you just as easily. 🙏💚

Yes , it's nice to see young people getting it . Life is good if we let it be. I was born in 1951 and in 1990 I too had a spiritual moment in a city jail cell . But the bad years were BAD . 18 year's down w/a bad heroin habit . Now my wife and I have a small house on a canal in rural Mi. We are blessed beyond anything I ever could have imagined . So keep at it young lady's it only gets better . Bill
When i watched Christina's video of her explaining the levels of abuse she endured as a TODDLER (my youngest is 2) i literally cried with her. Both of you women are so incredibly brave for telling your stories! I admire the both of you so much with being in recovery myself. Love you guys! 💕

Watching this video I felt so comforted and although I’ve never done drugs or gone to prison. I have gone through trauma and I’ve been through a lot of family neglect and abuse. I never grew up with my parents I was in the care of my grandparents which was sort of a custody thing. Although I’ve got depression and anxiety and have nightmares from my past but I don’t let it define me. I’m 20 now and now I’m an aunt and I look after my little niece and teach her to value her and be respectful. Even now I struggle to care for me first but everyday my little niece teaches me so much so for me I learn a lot about self love from her. Just seeing her so free encourages me and trust me I’ve watched people leave even when they were good for me or bad and struggled with abandonment issues. And I still go to therapy now but each day I’m proud that I get better and better.
Wow her voice is totally different then on her channel and wow she looks very different in the face , couldn’t believe cause she has an accent on her channel, her face from here to now looked transformed god bless her she made it got out of that life style n now is doing her own thing , good 👍 for her

This gives me hope. I had a teen mom and her 6 month old baby placed with me (i fostered) (non relative) about 10 years ago. Teen moms history sounds like what i am hearing from you christina. Both parents overdosed and died by her age 5 and she was bounced to dozens of homes. Mom aged out at 18 and gave me private guardianship of baby. She had a terrible car accident and is now in prison. I visit her and love her and have hope for her. Such a rough start. It's so wrong. The happy is that baby has been with me since placement at 6 months and is now a thriving 10 year old. She saved her child when no one saved her. I watch these channels so i can know how to support mom in prison. Ty for sharing this info.

I worry about everything too Christina! And I grew up with a mother very similar to yours and so the MOST IMPORTANT thing to me is to ALWAYS MAKE SURE my children KNOW and NEVER DOUBT that their mom LOVES them SO MUCH ALWAYS NO MATTER WHAT!

I’d love to see a tutorial on how to put them in though and a video on how to do salon hair hacks like extensions, bleaching, manicures / nail polish, and waxing. I know you guys do get to use razors, but I’m guessing since there’s a prison hack for threading eyebrows, there’s got to be some kind of waxing hack too I imagine, maybe similar to the deep fryer in prison but with heating wax that maybe could be collected from candles in chapel or church or? I found Jessica through Christina. I have so much in common with Christina it’s unreal. Unfortunately all the bad things are the ones we have in common. That’s also the best part about Christina is because she was able to overcome so much trauma that would knock anyone else to the ground. Trust me, I’m still picking up the pieces of myself. I’m glad she has wonderful friends and people who love her now. She deserves some great after the hell shes been through.

I love what Christina said about telling people to care about themselves and to take care of themselves and to tell kids to care about themselves. If you don't build kids's self esteem early on, it can be difficult to instill confidence in themselves as they get older.
I’ve watched quite a few of Christina’s videos but this is the first time im hearing about her childhood.. you would never guess from the way she carries herself and how she talks that she had been through all of that.. I have so much respect for her!!

This gives me hope. I had a teen mom and her 6 month old baby placed with me (i fostered) (non relative) about 10 years ago. Teen moms history sounds like what i am hearing from you christina. Both parents overdosed and died by her age 5 and she was bounced to dozens of homes. Mom aged out at 18 and gave me private guardianship of baby. She had a terrible car accident and is now in prison. I visit her and love her and have hope for her. Such a rough start. It's so wrong. The happy is that baby has been with me since placement at 6 months and is now a thriving 10 year old. She saved her child when no one saved her. I watch these channels so i can know how to support mom in prison. Ty for sharing this info.

I worry about everything too Christina! And I grew up with a mother very similar to yours and so the MOST IMPORTANT thing to me is to ALWAYS MAKE SURE my children KNOW and NEVER DOUBT that their mom LOVES them SO MUCH ALWAYS NO MATTER WHAT!
Both of yall are so positive and help me keep all the negative thoughts and life I lived away and in the past and the things I've I've through make me who I am and the person I am today and the strength that I have now thank you two girls so much!!!

Jessica your hair is beautiful you don’t need extensions at all! I’d love to see a tutorial on how to put them in though and a video on how to do salon hair hacks like extensions, bleaching, manicures / nail polish, and waxing. I know you guys do get to use razors, but I’m guessing since there’s a prison hack for threading eyebrows, there’s got to be some kind of waxing hack too I imagine, maybe similar to the deep fryer in prison but with heating wax that maybe could be collected from candles in chapel or church or? I’d be so curious to know what inmates use to glue in their extensions, and bleach and wax hair :)

I found Jessica through Christina. I have so much in common with Christina it’s unreal. Unfortunately all the bad things are the ones we have in common. That’s also the best part about Christina is because she was able to overcome so much trauma that would knock anyone else to the ground. Trust me, I’m still picking up the pieces of myself. I’m glad she has wonderful friends and people who love her now. She deserves some great after the hell shes been through.

I love what Christina said about telling people to care about themselves and to take care of themselves and to tell kids to care about themselves. If you don't build kids's self esteem early on, it can be difficult to instill confidence in themselves as they get older.
