If a ceiling fan is turned on it will rotate about its axis .... now to stop the fan forcefully and easily where should we apply the force and in which direction ( the que is about stopping the fan easily,fastly not safely and the angular speed of the fan is not high enough to hurt our hands) I think that we should apply force at the end of fan wing,opposite to the direction of angular speed Sir what do you say??
You are right, can be expressed greatly once you have learnt about torque in rotational motion. Since torque depends upon distance from rotation of axis and angle made with the rotating blade, so you should apply force at the end of wings and perpendicular to them for maximum deceleration.

If a ceiling fan is turned on it will rotate about its axis .... now to stop the fan forcefully and easily where should we apply the force and in which direction ( the que is about stopping the fan easily,fastly not safely and the angular speed of the fan is not high enough to hurt our hands)
I think that we should apply force at the end of fan wing,opposite to the direction of angular speed

You are right, can be expressed greatly once you have learnt about torque in rotational motion. Since torque depends upon distance from rotation of axis and angle made with the rotating blade, so you should apply force at the end of wings and perpendicular to them for maximum deceleration.
