    FAQ's:
    Q: What if none of the BIOS fixes worked and the diagnostic test shows my HDD to be healthy or I cannot run the test?
    A: If none of the BIOS fixes worked for you or if you could not try them, and if the Diagnostic Test showed your HDD to be healthy or you could not run the diagnostic test, then you would move on and try a new install of your operating system as seen here in these videos;

    If the install is successful, then you know the HDD is good and you have fixed the issue. If the install fails, the HDD is most likely bad and needs to be replaced.

    Right! It's always good to have an easy access panel without having to remove the entire bottom case.

      1. Do you have a Toshiba computer? Were you able to try the steps seen here?
      2. Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?

      Are you able to find that setting in BIOS? Sometimes you use your arrow, tab, or enter keys. You have to find the way to do it on your computer.

    Hello PC Monkey, like your videos! My Lenovo ThinkPad E550 HHD had a failure. I installed a new HDD drive and download my windows version from Lenovo on USB. I followed Lenovo instructions, but it states, recovery failure. I called support, they told me to take it to Best Buy. I didn't buy it from them. Apparently, they did not want to be bothered. Can you help me? Thank you!

      1. There are many different versions of BIOS. Most likely, you will have a different one. You may have to look around for the options discussed here. Were you able to find the diagnostic test?

      2. An overheating computer can be damaging multiple different components if not resolved. First, make sure that the fan and vents are clean and clear. If you need help accessing the fan, let me know what brand and model computer you have and I can help you get inside it. If that does not fix the overheating issue, then try replacing the thermal paste on the CPU and if needed, the GPU as seen here; th-cam.com/video/K_j4GPjpawk/w-d-xo.html. If that fails too, replace the CPU

      The keyboard light comes on, the fan spins. But no display. When it's plugged in and the battery is connected an inductor on the motherboard labelled R47 gets really hot.

    My Lenovo ideapad s145, started by saying pc automatic repair failed after boot, i tried other measures as detailed in your other videos, such as changing boot settings in BIOS, rissiting the hard drive, i even tried to boot of a USB, for about 2 hours it kept loading. Now when i trie to boot it, it just shows a blue screen and then it goes off. When i try to boot if the USB it says pc needs repair, plug in USB or ( CD ios i think thats what it said), any suggestions?

      1) no, I was not able to run the diagnostic scan, tried clicking enter and ESC.
      2) Up to the events leading to the PC getting very very sluggish which led me to factory reset in the first place, there was an update that came in and it did overheat. No spilling, or falling has occured.

    Hello PC monkey, your videos are very educative and helpful.
    Could you please post a video on how to fix a dell laptop that is not charging. I thought the problem was with the adapter and replaced it but that did not solve the problem. I removed the battery and charger and held the power button for 30 seconds but still that did not help.
