Hey bbc is it correct way ? Please help me improving english
I like BBC's contents.
I wonder which native language the people who make that mistake speak. I think the most common mistake by us Spanish speakers is related to the use of the article, so instead of 'I like dogs', some would say 'I like THE dogs' because we say 'me gustan LOS perros'.
Yes, there are several different mistakes people make with this! Hopefully everyone know the correct version now :)
@@bbclearningenglish Thanks a lot for your reply.😊

l like cats and dogs because they're be very beautiful
👍 Good example! Quick tip - we already have the verb 'to be' in this sentence (ARE in they're), so we don't need another 'be'. 😊 Here's the corrected sentence: 'I like cats and dogs because they're very beautiful'.

Is sushi a singular noun?a plural noun?
Sushi is uncountable because it's from Japanese (which doesn't have singular or plural), and uncountable nouns have no difference between singular and plural. Uncountable nouns also never take 'a' before them, so "a sushi" isn't correct, the correct form is just "sushi".

I heard " Everybody loves a party". Isn't it correct?
It's correct, but "Everybody loves parties" is more common. "Everbody loves party" though, is not correct, because singular countable nouns need an article ('a' or 'the') or a number.
But, you need to use the plural for liking animals, because in "I like a dog", you're saying that you like one dog specifically.
"Everybody likes the dog" and "Everybody likes a dog" mean different things, though, because 'the dog' means the dog that we are already talking about, but 'a dog' could be any dog. So, "Everybody likes *the* dog" means that everybody likes this dog that we are talking about, and "Everybody likes *a* dog" means everyone has a dog who they like.
"Everybody likes a party" is correct for meaning everybody likes parties, because if you were talking about one specific party you would use 'the' instead of 'a', so it's clear that you mean all parties.
