Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, YES, EL&P, Jethro Tull, Genesis, Santana, Chicago, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Return To Forever, Earth Wind & Fire, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Elton John...and...,Boz Scaggs. A typical "rotation" for me during the 1970s! Rock on, Boz!!
I live for this. The ladies are fantastic! THE musicians are SUPERB..AND,of course there's BOZ. My mom loved "Dirty LowDown" back in 76..when I was just a little lass. As a young adult, I fell in love with 'Jo Jo' AND "Love Look What You've Done to Me"..especially this live performance. It's just beautiful
Listen to the backup singers throughout JoJo - they make this song special. Boz is great, but the girls make him even better. Listen at 1:03 and from 1:43; you'll never hear any musical instrument make prettier sounds than these two girls. Love it . . . . .
The Boz still has it: the wonderful marriage of great musicians; awesome arrangements and sound mixing; superb backup singers and his sexy, smokey-Boz vocal chops that can reduce you to a puddle! Been a Boz fan for 4 decades and at 60 years old and on the down-hill superslide to social security, I still have a jones for him! Taking my oldest daughter to see him in concert on June 17th and she can't wait to rock out with Mama!!!
This song sounds so fresh today...it's 28 years old!!!! Just amazing!!! C'mon North American pop adult radio - you should be playing the hell out this track in your gold category!!!!! Slick, cool and relevant. Boz Scaggs never grows old.
+James Collins This comment is 11 years old, so I really don't expect a reply at this point. A kid who was born when this comment was made, will be a teenger in like two years. Crazy. Anyway, just thought I'd come in to say, this song is now 40 years old.
2023 now, I had all of Boz's work on albums, then cds and now on but electronics as mp4s. Thanks Boz love the music it's part of the sound track to my life.
A lifetime of Boz and his peers - I often wonder what'll happen when these wonderful, wholly original music folk are gone... for nobody can ever replace them, that generation. Ever. Thanks, Boz, from a distant corner of India - you're truly a Great.
This band kicked butt on this song that year. All the other bands that he had were awesome. This drummer is FANTASTIC. Nice technique. I love the drag rolls. Great job. Nice stuff. I really enjoy listening to what the bass player is doing. He is playing some great stuff.
Bozz Scaggs had me hooked on his music and voice in the 70’s when I first Heard Lowdown. Then JoJo. I’ve been his forever fan. No one plays his unique music or voice. I’m sorry he suffered the loss of Oscar. I’ll be listening to Boz until my demise. Thank you Boz for the pleasure of enjoying you. Thru my good, bad, low, Happy, moments I spent listening to you. Sharing my feelings thru your talented work.
The studio musicians whom helped record the Silk Degrees album banded together after the recording session and created Toto. Boz has such a killer groove!
How could 4 people dislike this? It's a perfect performance of this always hip song, and better than the album cut. Boz is as cool and soulfully mellow as ever (what a voice), the arrangement is great, and it's got some really hot tenor sax playing by Charles McNeal, a great musician and one of the nicest cats around.
Love this! Music like this is just not created anymore! The pure talent❤ Boz can lead, have great back up singers, and whip right back around and back up his back ups! They play off each other superbly ❤He’s the man! Sierra is my fav Boz song but this one is so jazzy! Love it too. Can I just pretend once that I’m a singer and be a back up for Boz!? Be cool just once! I’ll just lipsink! Lol
I;ve been a fan for decades. Just saw him live a week or so ago in Burlington VT and he is as fabulous as ever! Everything he had beck then... he's still got. ; )
Its late and I'm enjoying a rare opportunity to spend time with my husband, whose usually Protecting and Serving our City. Tonite it's just the three of us..Thank you Mr Scaggs for being a part of a memorable evening.😎
This is the friggin best there is ,i had to listen to it three times in a row and I'm going to buy the cd. This is 10/28/2023 i got the tape i play it driving, shooting pool and relaxing in my easy chair.I love the fifty dollar part.
Good God I love this song!! On repeat in my car for 2-4 days straight and whoever rides with me knows the lyrics (even if they dont know of Boz Scaggs) lol.. Such a freakin classic!! Yes boy!! Gone ahead and do it right!
one word perfection man you can hear every instrument on Boz's videos here the vocals are impecably flawless see what wonderful muscians and vocalists can give you on stage im envious of anyone who have seen this ensemble perform live
Saw him (with Miss Monet) in Georgia this past July---still has it, still shows it, and the audience offering three curtain calls---still knows it! Great entertainment---consumate musician and entertainer... still has the pipes too!
Recently purchased this concert on cd and can't stop playing it. Absolutely brilliant, sound quality is sooo good, wish I'd been in the audience, what a privilege!!
The "Middle Man" is great, and JoJo is a great opening track. I recently pulled out of my vast cd catalog collection to give it some play and it is simply magical.

I believe he was born in Ohio, but grew up in Texas. Seems he's always had good backup singers and musicians throughout his career, but I agree these two girls are exceptional. Boz knows how it's done right.
Awesome I think I will be buying TOTO's greatest hits soon. For a while I could not get over the radio overplay of Africa and hated them but now I have a good reason to listen to thier works. Thanks man!

to complement songs and give them a classy touch.

This sounds great! Thanks for posting! (Gotta love the sax solos)
A very very fine performance from all concerned in my humble opinion, and I think Jeff would have smiled (R.I.P.). Thank you!!!
I don't think it was Jeff playing on the original track but the equally great Carlos Vega.
still sounds fantastic and he is in his early sixties
The 70's and 80's music was Great...Boz and his band still sounds good

If I could come back in another life I’d be a backing singer - to Boz or the Dan 😎
I believe he was born in Ohio, but grew up in Texas. Seems he's always had good backup singers and musicians throughout his career, but I agree these two girls are exceptional.
