There is a Raven that imitates the sound of my dog's squeak toy, it's adorable. The Raven even sounds like it's quietly cackling as it watches my dog bob her head around in confusion.

A lot of people don't seem to like ravens - many associate them with death - but I think they're pretty cool birds and appreciated these close-up images 😄

@@HikeToWildlifeI've heard ravens and crows will, from time to time, feed on or kill the young of other bird species. I've never actually witnessed that, but in spite of this ravens are still one of my favorite birds.
They're intelligent, inquisitive and goofy.
They do eat carrion, so sure, they’re associated with death. But what’s wrong with that? Death is natural and animals that eat carrion are critical to the ecosystem. Ravens are wonderful creatures, intelligent, playful companionable.
@no_soy_rubio I can totally relate to you'r comment. I like ravens, as much as I love my own little cat, but sadly too many people have a fear of them and as you've written, associate them with death. Sure they can be scary and terrifying with their full black feathers, but that's the beauty of them in my opinion. The raven (Corvid - Corvus Corax) is a beautiful, very intelligent and also needed bird, for our Enviroment.

They're so...warbly
In the zoo, where I work, we have a aviary with ravens next to northern bald ibises. A few days ago, I could hear a raven imitating the sound of the ibises. It was so well, that I thought, there was an ibis in the aviary.

Before I worked there, there was a raven wo said "Mama" to the visitors. I learn every day new things from the ravens. It's great to work with birds, which are sometimes smarter than humans.
Very chatty ravens😊. The pair of them on the Pine tree branch reminded me of the old TV cartoon 'Heckle and Jeckle' ( I am showing my age here 😉). Beautiful smart birds that do get a bad wrap most of the time and really shouldn't❤. Have a great weekend!

Ravens can mimic sounds of their habitat. That might explain why your ravens did not produce these sounds, but I don't know for sure 😊 Thank you for watching and kind inspiring words.

I heard the most awesome raven vocalization today by our local ravens. They often mimic our dogs barking or make other sounds. But this was like a very high-pitched fart ripping across the forest, followed by one syllable of a deep partial whoop. They repeated it in that pattern maybe about five times. Very unique sounding.

Congratulations! This is so great! Those birds are known as highly intelligent, I'm sure they have their own "language", or at least something that is similar to a language, surely, they can communicate more efficiently with each other by using vocal sounds. Amazing!
