Rupeni caucaunibuca needs to be on this list. I remember in 2003 it looked like he was barely trying and he could burn anyone. Vunibaka was insanely quick as well. I think jonah's best was only 10.78 but I might be wrong. Insane to think that such a massive guy was one of the fastest rugby players
Growing up playing rugby in NZ I remember this : 1. Fijians super fast, were all ways on the wing 2. Pacific Islanders - physically imposing, always a battle in the forwards. 3. NZ Euros, generally crafty ( think Dan Carter, Barrett etc) 4. Maori - crafty players and the most mentally tough have ever played with and against, often makes good captains. That mix makes the AB’s so good
i find it even more crazy that he was signed and debuted for s.a. before the age of 21 & only played three more times after that. I know he was a great club player for nearly 12 yrs, but one really thinks what could've been different (could've even eclipsed habana & pietersen)
Where’s Rupeni??? Rupeni clocked a time of 10.4s in 100m for the blues pre season beating Howlett , Rokocoko and Mils! That was in rain and windy Auckland winter too
Great video, but rugby 100m times are notoriously inaccurate. In the track world, unless the time is wind legal and recorded at a meet, it didn't happen. People who've never run track really have no idea what a big deal it is to go sub 11 and that even most gifted sprinters aren't going to go sub 11, even with years of training. I'm not saying these guys aren't fast, but I'd put my money on only 3 of them being able to clock a legitimate sub 11, 100m and I'm betting these 3 trained as track athletes. Sprinting is a skill that needs to be trained, it's one in a billion people who can run a sub 11 without years of sprint training.
Very true! Strikes me as Jason Robinson esque... Very quick off the line, but would eventually be caught by a taller (and very fast) man. Luckily for Robinson, he was always over the line before that happened!
Not sure where your getting these 100m-times from but they seem mostly wrong good example of this USA-Eagles is a Professional Sprinting Athlete tht went around Habana and yet according to your Video Habana 100m-time is 10.4 and USA-Eagles Winger 100m-time is 10.5sec, really???
Nice video man! To be honest I thought that these two players should've been on the list: 1. Rupeni Caucaunibuca th-cam.com/video/zHRzEC4aVV8/w-d-xo.html 2. Pierre Spies th-cam.com/video/e7Ly8iTcQXg/w-d-xo.html

More Pacific islanders becoming crafty.with the likes of.Ritchie Mouga, Josh Ioane ,
@@user-ic5xq8oc9zIoane is Māori bro but he’s also half Samoan so is reiko and his brother
Jaco Reinach’s, Kobus’ father, time was 10.3 on the 100m.
Wales nigel walker was an Olympic hurdler and could do 100m in 10.47.
One thing I cannot argue about is Tanderai Tahavangah is super fast

Jonah was 6.4" and 116kgs let that sink in while you compare him to the rest
Was he not 195cm or 196cm he defo was taller than 193cm.
118kg*
Rupeni Caucau was 120kg plus 😅😅😅
Good vid but what about perry baker carlin isles and seabelo senatla
It's probably because he's doing rugby union not 7s cause rugby 7s players are on another level
Seabelo was out ran by joeli lutumailagi of fiji in a cup final 😂😂😂.
@@joeliliga4229 I can name plenty Fijians who got outrun by Senatla though🤣
You mean fijians that are not wingers😂😂😂😂😂.
@@joeliliga4229 to be fair, if you outrun the current Senatla it's not really an achievement, was only fast like 4 years back
Saw Tonderai Chavanga play for the Dragons a few times, hardly ever god the bloody ball because all we could do was knock it on.
Was lightning fast, he scored six tries against Uruguay and I don't know if he ever played for the Boks again after that game.
0:09 / 3:39
Wade Van Niekerk 9.98 Jaco Reinach 10.28 to name a few.
How are these times recorded? Do they make the athletes do 100m dashes on a track/field or something or is it based off their speed during matches???
Great guy Tonderai
Sireli Bobo, Rupeni Caucau, Marika Vunibaka, these guys can match these guys with speed
Where’s Rupeni??? Rupeni clocked a time of 10.4s in 100m for the blues pre season beating Howlett , Rokocoko and Mils! That was in rain and windy Auckland winter too

Back in school late 80's early 90's, I heard Jonah did do an unofficial time of 10.3 for athletics
Really? Wow
Major 🧢
Highly doubt that. At that time, 10.3 would've been an 100m Olympic qualifying time. Even the times listed in this video are a bit sus.
Unofficial 10.8 sec
Mapimpi ?
he's very fast but seems more of a stepper maybe. I don't know could be a good shout for part 2. haha
Mapimpi? Perry Baker? Reinach? Barret? Reece zamit? Senatla ? Isles (USA)?
Afolabi Fasogbon how you gunna recommend Zamit already 🤣
@@jctgaming283 I mean he is a prodigy and he is fast so y not
Reina has is fast but not the speed of these guys
Baker and Isles are 7s players...its basically a different sport.
Rupeni caucaunibuka, daisuke ohata Breyton pulse Jason robinson
shane williams sitiveni sivivatu tom varndell just a few names
Jaco Reinach?
I think there should be a Pacific islands team in the super rugby match Fiji, Tonga, Samoa combine team.... could be called Pacific Warriors
I thought that was the Blues or Chiefs?
Rupeni caucau is more faster than this top10.
Christian Wade went to my school when he was younger
100m - Trae Williams 10.10 Secs & Carlin Isles 10.13 Sec
Jaco Reynach from Springboks?
Worl record 400m time.
100m time of 10.3sec.
I’m skeptical whether kolbes top speed is that fast.
it isn't

francis fainifo ? that made habana look like a snail ?
Ayeee Rupeni? Cullen?
Where’s rupeni? 2003 rupeni would burn everyone here⚡️
J.May can run 10.7?!?!
Nice vid, but only 3 or 4 of these guys legitimately belong on this list, fast as they are
Tinobvumirana nazvo. 2 Zimbabweans representing us... pamberi Takudzwa naTonderai.
Vunibaka, Caucau and Koroibete is the real deal.
@@itz_ben3735 Sireli Bobo would burn everyone
If you didn't get to see vunibaka play you missed out that dude was quick
Where is Aphiwe Dyanti
Where is carlin isles ?
He's a 7s player.
@@KX5Kat So? It says 'rugby' which surely means 7's or league or union can be contenders

you missed beuaden barret
Chavanger was literally the fastest player ever behind Isles… Yet he’s never on these lists

Why isn’t Isles from the US not in this list.
Jeff wilson? Shane williams? South african winger last name Pulse?
Roscoe Specman?
I think that Bauden Barrett may be in this list. He's so fast!!
These stats aren't factual
Carlin isles be like am I joke to you 😂😂
Richie mouanga
Good video but Carlin Isles is the fastest. No hate, just facts
7s and 15s are 2 different sports... He's the fastest in 7s, shouldn't be mixed up
Where's Jason Robinson ?
100m 8 seconds impossible. He can't be faster than ussain bolt. So you say he's the fastest man alive and broke the world record
What are you on about? lol
It’s possible that he can be they only count the Olympic champ as the fastest person on the planet
I think you’re missing a second somewhere. Usain Bolt 9.6. All the others featured were 10. Something or other.
What video was that lol ?
2 zimbos in the top 3
What!!?? Where are these guys!!??
Doug Howlett
Marika Vunibaka
Rupeni
Pierre Spies
Tana Umaga
Christian Cullen
Gio Aplon
Most of these 100m times are bullshit.
Tameifuna? Dislike
Perry Baker??
Carlin isles
Don't like the way you made up those 100m times! Thumbs down for you.
Doug howlett and Christian Cullen were fast all blacks as well
all time hmm . nope
JONAH WAS NEVER ONE OF THE FASTEST OF ALL TIME ,PLEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASE
