I personally love Nekroz ritual archetype. I have a Nekroz deck built and a drytron deck built and enjoy playing both. Ritual is a fun casual type of play. Thanks for showing love with this video ❤
Mikanko is a weird version of Ritual. I don't even Ritual summon with it - I use the Ritual Mikanko strictly for its searching ability and focus entirely around Hu-Li's protection effects. I don't think I can count it as playing Ritual at that point, especially with how I don't even have a Ritual summon spell in the deck. I don't know if that's a good way to play Mikanko, but the other day I went up against a Branded Despia(Tier 2) player in Master Duel, and he surrendered while not even laying a scratch on me.

megalith is a personal fav - its a surprisingly powerful deck thats super budget in both master duel and paper. doesnt really need and extra deck, works without expensive staples like the herald engine. carried me thru the ritual event
I love Libromancer. But the lack of offensive power does hamper it a bit. Reminds me of Mekk Knights to the degree that the mechanics are fun and dynamic, but the ooomf of a face punch is lacking.
Not mentioned, but Alba Zoa also can force the opponent to return any ED monster on their field back to the EDs. It also blanket protects your Dogmatika monsters from ED monster effects. Another ritual archetype not mention that's a head spin- Vendread. A Zombie-type Ritual Archetype that gains effects based on what Vendread effect monsters are used for their summons, it also has a decent floodgate monster in the form of Battlelord. It also has a nasty trap card, Reorigin, that tributes a monster with a level that your opponent controls to summon a 0 atk, 0 def token on your side of the field with that same level as the tributed monster. As basically every deck must at least start with a spell or monster with a level, it can make the deck annoying to play against. And as it's a Zombie deck, it can benefit from the tons of Zombie support out there. It also got decent recovery. The biggest problem would get going second, as it's partly a floodgate deck.
Not exactly. Zoa protects from ACTIVATED ED monster effects. So passive effects like Mirrorjade's board wipe will still blow up all your monsters. Which is idiotic, imo.
Libromancers are a favorite. I really need to build dogmatika. Drytron have killed my evaluation of ritual decks. I want more of them to summon any ritual.
You should do this for more popular archetypes. Give a short summary and basic guides to the deck and playstyle. I have played yugioh off and on a bit, but there are so many archetypes I'm still not familiar with them or what they do. It's also interesting to me about the lore of the archetypes. I usually can't pick up on it with just the artwork, but they usually have cool stories behind them.
Shinobirds can be quite funny spinning away a board and summoning Amano Iwato for a one sided skill drain. They have preparation and pre preparation as options, the 'tama' spirit cards, their newer support from Age of Overlord helps consistency while letting you ritual summon from the deck, and search their pseudo themed trap to ritual summon on the opponent's turn. The shinobird salvation trap can even stop a battle phase while banishing one of the smaller shinobird rituals which then summon themselves back when banished.
Megalith Drytron is a really fun way to play the deck. The Megalith cards are very efficient when it comes using Meteonis Drytron, and the Drytron package makes sure that you can perform your Megalith plays without losing a lot of card advantage. Not to mention being able to still run Extra Deck Monsters gives the deck some interesting interactions. An Appolousa with over 6,000 attack due to a Phaleg boost can easily negate a lot of monster effects, and Dyna Mondo can bring back Phul to enable another way of ritual summoning Bethor during your opponent's turn.
I am currently creating a ritual deck account for Master Duel where I only play ritual decks. So far I have Libromancers built and currently almost done with going 2nd Gishki. One of the coolest thing about Libromancers is the fact that you can run the Diviner of Herald for easy access to Spright Elf + Baronne. Or if you have Benten in hand you can search for Vanity's Ruler and prevent your opponent from special summoning while using Doombroker to negate an opponent's card. The only thing I hate about the deck is when I open with the field spell and the last card for me to grab is the continuous spell as my boards feel much more weaker. I been having a blast playing Libromancers!
Magikey was an insane ritual deck when Halq/Aurorodon were legal, now it’s not very good. You can still end on a decent board off a 2 card combo though: the synchro which is a pop on the field and sets the counter trap , plus the ritual that negates a monster effect, and SP Little Knight. The issue is lack of follow up though.
Rituals just feel so quintessentially old-school Yu-Gi-Oh. i feel like back in the day, the really good shit had a cost to it. now of course, a lot of old school ritual monsters sucked, but Black Luster Soldier and Magician of Black Chaos had serious final boss feel to them. the game has evolved so much and become so much faster that rituals kinda have to be broken to even be good. but i miss the time where games were a little bit slower so the duels could have time to build up to something. plus i just love Cyber Angels lol
I love nouvelles. I took it to a regional and actually had a shot at top 32. Rescue ace and unchained both can die really badly to the deck if you can pilot it.
Man I love Libromancer, they just need like, a 2nd actually good ritual besides Doombroker. Like, Fireburst I even run in my deck, because I like the otk potential, but it's just not good enough to carry it
I recently decided to play yugioh with some friends again. They play pretty competitively, at least on a local level. They're outdated, but I still play Nekroz. Of course, I added newer staples and some anti-meta cards for my local scene. I ended up winning despite having a much outdated deck. I think I'd love to pick up the Dogmatika ritual deck since it plays like a better Nekroz.
As a apellcaster user and enjoyer, both gishki and nekroz were the ones I enjoyed the most using in the ritual festival, dogmatika not so much since it all depended on ecclesia
I played almost pure Cyber Angel in the ritual festival (just using diviner) in master duel and it’s actually pretty strong even without the Drytrons (and far less toxic)
I wish I could say I was representing Ritual by playing Mikanko, but to be honest, I don't even summon the Mikanko Ritual monsters. I use the Mikanko Ritual to search, and base the rest of the deck around supporting Hu-Li's protective effects. It really can't be considered playing Ritual at that point - my deck doesn't even have the Ritual summon spell in it.
You should look into the prediction princess'. Them with pot of the forbidden, guard dog and a few other max it very annoying to go up against. One of my favorite decks to play in TCG and Master Duel.
Personally i love the RItual dark magician deck. With the chaos max DM they have an in archtype 1 sided skill drain, and then the rest of the DM support to boot.
I finally decided to play a ritual deck like... 1 year ago ? Maybe less, with Dogmatika. It was really fun to learn how to play these cards i always was reluctant to, due to their reputations of being "unplayable". It made me want to try other deck so i builded Nouvelles during the ritual event it was really fun (and being french it made me happy to have a deck created about my culture ^^) Recently i also made a Gishki deck but can't really test it, Duelist Cup isn't the best place to play fun decks I'm working right now on a vendread deck, not the best one but i'm having fun building it So yeah i think Ritual decks are becoming more and more my favorite cards I also can't wait for Silenforcer to release in TCG and later on Master Duel
Ritual monsters are my favroite summoning type, I've got 3 main ritual decks, Nouvelles, Demise and Ruin and a Black Luster Soldier Chaos deck. It's amazing how consistent ritual decks can be with both Manju and the Impcantation monsters.
hey aps, i really love this content idea, but you could mention nekroz xD i mean it was t0 and one of the strongest ritual deck ever made :D i personaly love dogmatika
Renewal of the World is another good generic ritual support It takes 2 turns to resolve but it gives a generic search or summon and makes good use of recycling graveyard materials back into the deck (card advantage and what not) But the card suffers from looking like it's archetype exclusive
I play pure BEWD ritual. The only non-BEWD cards I run are linkuriboh and 10000 arms manju (And I don't run Jet because it's broken). It is significantly less bricky than normal pure BEWD.
The saddest thing is that Nouvelles ritual spells/effects don't activate Tearlament's 'when sent to the graveyard. Maybe I'm playing it wrong in Master Duel, but the Tearlament effects don't activate in the grave.
Relinquished is one of the best Ritual Decks out now and with its new support you can exceed the “Max 1” equipping effect on Relinquished and Thousand-Eyes Restrict and Millennium-Eyes Restriction you can literately stop a monster from using its effect when activated
@@DualSwordBesken I got my staples ready and hoping they aren't rarity bumped too badly. I experimented combining Silenforc with dogmatika rituals because the barrier can protect the dogmatika cards since they're LIGHT and it's pretty nice. Skull Guardian being able to search nekroz rituals with its effect makes nekroz a decent partnership as well from what I've seen.
I'm playing nouvelles in master 4 atm, the main problem with these ritual deck is the hopt spell they tend to have, it stuck in your hand can't even be tributed. Like say You drew TWO Ala carte one gets negated that's ONE card is dead for the rest of the turn, can't be tributed. In most deck having one card dead is fine, in ritual? Hell no you need 3 cards already to ritual summon. Konami needs to stop making ritual archetype spell support hopt.
I LOVE nouvelles is such a fun playstyle and the names and artwork are so clever and unique :) the only ritual deck I own but definitely one of my favorites
I play Vendread,Dogmatika,Libromancer,Nouvelles and I even dabbled with Gishki so i guess i can say i adore ritual decks and how they have a bit of an uphell battle against other decks which makes playing them feel more rewarding for me
I have a soft spot for Ritual Monsters probably because they're just so different. Glad Konami is making more Ritual stuff!
What about pendulums?

I like the Libromancer deck. I first used it in the master duel ritual festival.
I'm so down for gameplay/deck building guides like this. I like the editing style too, as I'm a visual learner.
I personally love Nekroz ritual archetype. I have a Nekroz deck built and a drytron deck built and enjoy playing both. Ritual is a fun casual type of play. Thanks for showing love with this video ❤
Ritual cards have been difficult since the days trying to play with the masked beast. Cool to see they have more powerful strategy’s.
Mikanko was the first time I tried Rituals and it's pretty fun! I recommend to ppl who want to try out a strong and recent ritual deck!
Mikanko is a weird version of Ritual. I don't even Ritual summon with it - I use the Ritual Mikanko strictly for its searching ability and focus entirely around Hu-Li's protection effects. Megalith is my all time favorite archetype, and what inspired me to get back into YGO back in 2020.
1:10 Demons and French Cuisine... Sooooo... French Cuisine in general then... :-P
Two weird and less used mechanics? Prediction Princess = Most fun and cool ritual deck.
Totally forgot about them! That's a really niche and fun one. I've played against it on Master Duel!
Ritual and flip. Love ot
I’ve always liked ritual decks currently I’m playing a Vendread build which I find very fun despite not being competitive
