Hey guys, I know it’s been years but there’s a few things I want to address here that I didn’t get to address in the video. To all my old followers: First thing is, I just want to say thank you so much for all the love and support you’ve shown me whether it was then or now. I appreciate it more than you know. I also hope you and your family are doing well. At the end of the day, all I want is for you to win at life and make something of yourself. And if you feel like I abandoned you, I am sincerely sorry. As a young man, I carried the weight of the world on my shoulders, and to be honest, I didn’t know what I was doing most of the time. (Still don’t) I just did the best I could with what I had. I hope you can give me another chance to make things right and continue to be a guiding light to whatever extent that may look like in your life. With that being said, I’ve evolved a lot in the last 5 years and despite it being a massive part of my journey, I am no longer involved in the Amazon FBA space. All the old videos on my TH-cam channel will remain up however I will add a disclaimer and disable comments so there is no confusion. Although my old videos are outdated, they still serve as a valuable part of who I am today, so they will remain up so others may look back upon how I’ve evolved as a person. In the end, I am extremely excited for the new focus and direction of the channel and to share this new version of me. Hey Antoinette! First off, thank you for the comment! Great question! So we plan to but not yet. Our first year in business we went direct-to-consumer (DTC) and sold all our products via our online store. This allowed us to gain rapid feedback from customers, own the data, and make changes necessary to make the product/experience better. Eventually will be on Amazon but it will be when we build the infrastructure to support it. As of right now, we aren't ready for it! Hope that makes sense!
I really don’t get it. If you built other businesses, what happened to all the experience and lessons you learnt from them?! Agreements, import, subcontractors, etc. How come you didn’t apply these lessons? I honestly thought your business died because of the pandemic. Glad you’re back though.

You might not believe me but i had that feeling from the last video you posted about leaving TH-cam, that you are making a mistake, like some one who is selling his tools , the tools that he used to make the building , so what happened is that when the building crashed you had no tools to fix it , you are lucky that banks didint agree to give you loans, and lucky because you had this experience early . If your FBA business was earning so many millions and was so passive, as you repeatedly claimed - why didn't you just bring it back online again (not to mention why would you even stop it)?
@@DerrickStruggle No, it does not answer the question at all - you only budgeted 2 million for your HQ - so why didn't you keep doing, or at the very least start up your FBA again as it was earning so many millions? And it was so passive? Plus you weren't even hands on with the HQ project so it wasn't taking so much time.
I'm going to answer your questions as clearly as I can as if you are actually genuinely curious and not gaslighting me. 1) Why didn't you keep doing/start up FBA again? - If you watched the video I explained I took my foot off the gas of all my Amazon businesses. As in, I stopped paying attention to it. When I stopped paying attention to it, I stopped putting effort into it. When I stopped putting effort into it, the revenue dropped. When the revenue dropped, the profit dropped. When the profit dropped, the cash flow dropped. Also, you keep mentioning "so passive" so I will address it. Active and passive are not binary. They are continuums that exist on a scale. My business was MORE passive in that it required LESS effort compared to most other businesses. However, like any business, if you stop paying attention to it, it dies. Your definition of passive and my definition of passive may be completely different. And furthermore, why didn't I just start it up again? Because I was 24 and I was devastated from the loss of the project. 2) You weren't even hands on with the HQ project so it wasn't taking so much time - How do you define hands on? Do you think because I wasn't demoing walls or installing electric outlets every day that I was hands off? There was a lot more to building the business than the construction project itself. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask.

Just curious if you don’t mind sharing… losing so much money is extremely difficult, and I imagine deciding to pursue another business venture (supervibe) takes immense courage. How did you bounce back financially after the struggle HQ downfall, did you have to get a regular 9-5 job to make all that money back? Get some help from family and friends ? Get back into Amazon FBA? It’s okay if you don’t feel comfortable sharing… I’m just someone who have also lost some money from my business ventures (altho on a much smaller scale compared to yours), and it was hard to bounce back from even wanting to take risk again
First off, I admire your vulnerability with sharing your current state. After Struggle HQ failed I started consulting one-on-one with clients. It was a low hanging fruit and it worked really well. The money I made from that I was able to put into the new venture, Supervibe.

you were not alone who failed. I'm subscribed to at least 12 channels on dropshipping, FBA during this period and all are gone (except a woman from NZ). Welcome to adult life of a businessman😬Hopefully you learned your lessons. I lost all my clients and accumulated huge debts from 2019-2023 after building my business for 15 years. 100% my fault, I thought I can do better staring other businesses but failed in all of them while destroying my main business. Stupid mistake. I'm starting my main business all over again. Not sure how bankruptcy works in US but here you are not clean off all debts, you still have to pay back ~30% of it and until you pay that off they let you keep only the minimum of your income just to barely survive. That's why I didn't file for bankruptcy (yet).

Hey man! There was so much I wanted to cover in this video that I didn't get a chance to speak too much into it. That's why I pinned a comment for further explanation. After the bankruptcy I had already taken my foot off on all of my Amazon FBA businesses including the digital business. I couldn't find it in me to go back because I was so depressed. Haha. But when I founded Supervibe during 2022, it made sense for me to focus 100% on building this company. Hope this makes sense!

I dont get how in all your experience, be so careless to let your project go unchecked for 6 months. I would have been there with a hard hat for day 1 of construction. Then visit 2-3 times a week. when you found out you got back burned this whole time for 6 months, it was obvious you getting played. Where was your contingency? keep getting shafted by the same guys? Bro, those dudes are NOT your friends. You got construction scammed. that's the bottom line. I recommend you do a rabbit hole dive into contractors. This is VERY common practice, where they quote low so that you'll agree to the budget and then find ways to ask for MORE money because you're committed. Long story short, your goals do not align with the contractor, because you want the job done ASAP, while the contractor benefits from dragging it out. When dealing with contractors, you need papers drawn on your side and also work out a deal that incentives a contractor to work towards your schedule. For example, you might agree the project/renovation might cost 100,000 to complete. You need to agree within a times frame. and they cannot come back to say, we need this, we need that. if you leave wood planks out in the rain over the weekend and its damaged or stolen from the site that is on you, not me. The project must be completed within 7 months. if you complete it within 6 months. the contractor is paid a bonus 20K totalling 120K which you already budgeted for. Now this payment model aligns the contractor with your goals. You should have sought your mentors on this type of huge undertaking.
Brother, everything you just said is 100% correct. No question. A lot of my friends told me the exact same thing as you told me. However, I did not realize any of this till way after the project failed. I was 24 years old when I started that project. I'm 30 now. I had NO idea what I was doing then and I was in over my head. I put all the trust in my friend which was a terrible mistake because I had massive blind spots. A very expensive mistake and a valuable lesson that I now have in my toolbelt that has served me greatly.
@@DerrickStruggle age 24? That's crazy, that means the whole Derrick Struggle success came to you at too young of an age. It Skews life because the money came too easily. I totally See how you could have made this mistake now. I don't think your previous success came from grit and determination like your life right now. I believe it came from research, planning, and strategizing, kind of like how you used to find another item to FBA or something. You had a process. You just didn't do enough research into this field because of blind trust. If I can make one suggestion, is that people often say to think things over more, but how? I suggest imagining yourself meditating like Dr Strange and go over many many mental simulations in your mind. Only when you've already considered many possible outcomes can you truly be more prepared. You'll never be able to see everything coming, but each time you do this will put you in a better spot than before. It sounds like overthinking, but it's not. it's strategizing. There is a reason why we say, it's not personal, it's just business. At the end of the day wisdom comes in two ways, The experience of others, or the lessons of your own. I'm glad to hear you're only 30, so you still have time to bounce back. Had you made this mistake in your mid-40s, highly doubtful you can claw back. I'm glad you got out of the Funk. I'll check in on your channel from time to time, and see your progress. I think you'll be ok.

You just survived the biggest challenge of them all in your entrepreneurship journey. We've all been there at some point regardless of what situation. What doesn't Kill you makes you stronger 💪. This is exactly what differentiates a successful person from an average person. You didn't lose anything you gain experience and thicken your skin. You might not believe me but i had that feeling from the last video you posted about leaving TH-cam, that you are making a mistake, like some one who is selling his tools , the tools that he used to make the building , so what happened is that when the building crashed you had no tools to fix it , you are lucky that banks didint agree to give you loans, and lucky because you had this experience early .
My advice dont trust ppl easly always put them in test

If your FBA business was earning so many millions and was so passive, as you repeatedly claimed - why didn't you just bring it back online again (not to mention why would you even stop it)?

@@DerrickStruggle No, it does not answer the question at all - you only budgeted 2 million for your HQ - so why didn't you keep doing, or at the very least start up your FBA again as it was earning so many millions? And it was so passive? Plus you weren't even hands on with the HQ project so it wasn't taking so much time.
I'm going to answer your questions as clearly as I can as if you are actually genuinely curious and not gaslighting me.
1) Why didn't you keep doing/start up FBA again? - If you watched the video I explained I took my foot off the gas of all my Amazon businesses. As in, I stopped paying attention to it. When I stopped paying attention to it, I stopped putting effort into it. When I stopped putting effort into it, the revenue dropped. When the revenue dropped, the profit dropped. When the profit dropped, the cash flow dropped. Also, you keep mentioning "so passive" so I will address it. Active and passive are not binary. They are continuums that exist on a scale. My business was MORE passive in that it required LESS effort compared to most other businesses. However, like any business, if you stop paying attention to it, it dies. Your definition of passive and my definition of passive may be completely different. And furthermore, why didn't I just start it up again? Because I was 24 and I was devastated from the loss of the project.
2) You weren't even hands on with the HQ project so it wasn't taking so much time - How do you define hands on? Do you think because I wasn't demoing walls or installing electric outlets every day that I was hands off? There was a lot more to building the business than the construction project itself.

Just curious if you don’t mind sharing… losing so much money is extremely difficult, and I imagine deciding to pursue another business venture (supervibe) takes immense courage. How did you bounce back financially after the struggle HQ downfall, did you have to get a regular 9-5 job to make all that money back? Get some help from family and friends ? Get back into Amazon FBA? It’s okay if you don’t feel comfortable sharing… I’m just someone who have also lost some money from my business ventures (altho on a much smaller scale compared to yours), and it was hard to bounce back from even wanting to take risk again

After Struggle HQ failed I started consulting one-on-one with clients. It was a low hanging fruit and it worked really well. The money I made from that I was able to put into the new venture, Supervibe.

I lost all my clients and accumulated huge debts from 2019-2023 after building my business for 15 years. 100% my fault, I thought I can do better staring other businesses but failed in all of them while destroying my main business. Stupid mistake. I'm starting my main business all over again. Not sure how bankruptcy works in US but here you are not clean off all debts, you still have to pay back ~30% of it and until you pay that off they let you keep only the minimum of your income just to barely survive. That's why I didn't file for bankruptcy (yet).

After the bankruptcy I had already taken my foot off on all of my Amazon FBA businesses including the digital business. I couldn't find it in me to go back because I was so depressed. Haha.

I dont get how in all your experience, be so careless to let your project go unchecked for 6 months. I would have been there with a hard hat for day 1 of construction.
Then visit 2-3 times a week. when you found out you got back burned this whole time for 6 months, it was obvious you getting played.
Where was your contingency? keep getting shafted by the same guys? Bro, those dudes are NOT your friends.
You got construction scammed. that's the bottom line. I recommend you do a rabbit hole dive into contractors.
This is VERY common practice, where they quote low so that you'll agree to the budget and then find ways to ask for MORE money because you're committed.
Long story short, your goals do not align with the contractor, because you want the job done ASAP, while the contractor benefits from dragging it out.
When dealing with contractors, you need papers drawn on your side and also work out a deal that incentives a contractor to work towards your schedule.
For example, you might agree the project/renovation might cost 100,000 to complete.
You need to agree within a times frame. and they cannot come back to say, we need this, we need that. if you leave wood planks out in the rain over the weekend and its damaged or stolen from the site that is on you, not me. The project must be completed within 7 months. if you complete it within 6 months. the contractor is paid a bonus 20K totalling 120K which you already budgeted for. Now this payment model aligns the contractor with your goals.
You should have sought your mentors on this type of huge undertaking.
Brother, everything you just said is 100% correct. No question. A lot of my friends told me the exact same thing as you told me. However, I did not realize any of this till way after the project failed.
I was 24 years old when I started that project. I'm 30 now. I had NO idea what I was doing then and I was in over my head. I put all the trust in my friend which was a terrible mistake because I had massive blind spots. A very expensive mistake and a valuable lesson that I now have in my toolbelt that has served me greatly.
@@DerrickStruggle age 24? That's crazy, that means the whole Derrick Struggle success came to you at too young of an age. It Skews life because the money came too easily. I totally See how you could have made this mistake now. I don't think your previous success came from grit and determination like your life right now. I believe it came from research, planning, and strategizing, kind of like how you used to find another item to FBA or something. You had a process. You just didn't do enough research into this field because of blind trust.
If I can make one suggestion, is that people often say to think things over more, but how? I suggest imagining yourself meditating like Dr Strange and go over many many mental simulations in your mind. Only when you've already considered many possible outcomes can you truly be more prepared. You'll never be able to see everything coming, but each time you do this will put you in a better spot than before. It sounds like overthinking, but it's not. it's strategizing.
There is a reason why we say, it's not personal, it's just business. At the end of the day wisdom comes in two ways, The experience of others, or the lessons of your own. I'm glad to hear you're only 30, so you still have time to bounce back. Had you made this mistake in your mid-40s, highly doubtful you can claw back.

You just survived the biggest challenge of them all in your entrepreneurship journey. We've all been there at some point regardless of what situation. What doesn't Kill you makes you stronger 💪.
