    I’ve been watching so many of your videos and this is again wonderful . She is so beautiful and think I’ve fallen in love with watercolour pencils after the past few days.
    I saw your paper comparison but wonder if you have tried other brands of watercolour paper? I have some saunders ( and arches) & wondered your thoughts about how the pencils behave on it. I noticed differences

      Hi Paige, I havent tried Saunders Waterford with WP, only with watercolor. I only tried Arches and Winsor Newton as well as the papers from my comparison video.

    You must be using the Indigo. I wish I have that color. That's very essential for achieving off black tones.
    And BTW, I just finished the portrait that I did without using Neutral Colors. I only used vibrant colors and Ultramarine Blue is my darkest.

      Yes, I'm pretty sure you can get this color in open stock online, one of my faves for what you mentioned.

      I am quite thankful to Faber Castell for selling open stock in a 3rd world country. However, some colors are not available all the time. Caran d'ache Museum Aquarelle is very rare in my country which is sad, I am craving for it since this is my last year in college.

      Same here with FC. Don't worry about the CD, the Albrecht Dürer are really good too 🙂

      @@paintingandchocolate well I have seen the Lightfast ratings of the portrait colors from Caran d'ache Museum Aquarelle and they have an overall stronger lightfastness according to the ratings.

    Awesome and clear video thanks. Do you protect your ready made paintings somehow? I try to move from acrylic painting to these and wonder in anything like varnish is used for these paintings

    This was really great! Do you always activate the watercolor pencil? Or do you sometimes leave them, like in the stray hairs?

    • @paintingandchocolate

    Which colors are in the base skin tone? Is it’s just red and yellow or is there some brown too?

    • @paintingandchocolate
      @paintingandchocolate  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Brown is just for stronger shadows otherwise mostly red yellow blue

    Can you just tell me what type of paper you take ? Also you're really a very good artist ❤

      Hot or cold press watercolor paper works well with these.

    Does watercolor pencil work more good than normal watercolour😊and i have to ask whether acrylic colour or watercolor which works more realistic

    • @paintingandchocolate
      @paintingandchocolate  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All if those can make realistic paintings if you learn them and practice them. I love them all, the thing about watercolor pencils is the precision from the lead, combined to the ability to also paint quick and smooth washes like watercolor.

    Honestly, the lifting technique doesn't work very well for Goldfaber Aqua applied on any paper that has cotton content. That's why my best match for these pencils is the cheapest Canson Watercolor in the market.

    What brand of paper do you use to draw with watercolor pencils? Which type is most suitable? Give me a few options. Thank you!

    • @paintingandchocolate
      @paintingandchocolate  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Cold press 100% cotton, not too much tooth so the painting looks smooth!
