Hello! I need to point out something: In the last episode, the scene where she "remembers" the Cabin Timeline, the memory comes with the heartbeat and the headache. See, just before the memory, when they are going to Eren's mouth. The cabin reality was made by her in the middle of despair. "I want to go back to our home". After Eren's decapitation, she sees Ymir and thanks her. In that moment, suddenly a non explained reality appears, where Ymir did not killed herself. That's why Mikasa was choosed by Ymir: because of Mikasa decision of killing Eren, she created a reality where Ymir was free.
Can you please explain what unexplained timeline u mentioned, didn't get ur last point, what reality mikasa created where ymir is free?is it related to eren?

2:23 I love that you included this point. I was always confused as to why mikasa was apologising to her mother but with your explanation of the timeline theory it makes a lot of sense
How? We were told why Mikasa apologized to her mother. It has nothing to do with diferent timelines lol she just felt guilty for wishing on something selfish for herself and not for her mothers health
@@sofiakaos5278 she caused that selfishness. She realized that her wishes to see eren were affecting her mother and she apologized to her mom for it. If you read the manga it does much better than the anime
@@JojoSmacks you... clearly missunderstood. She does apologize for that reason because she is a kid, she thinks its her fault that her mother got sick but it was not. Mikasa had no powers to make her mother sick
This made me realise I had missed the release of this OVA completely. Perhaps that’s the Ackerman’s power, travel across the paths to the timeline that suits them to get the resolution they want. Mikasa drove the world to the point where she had no choice but to kill Eren or let the world die but also because she did, the curse of the titans ended.
@@rihamashraf4493 I thought about it too but the mother didn’t seem to have it or didn’t know how to use it. Perhaps she didn’t have the trigger same way Mikasa’s dad died without awakening his powers apparently Why I thought that Kenny and Levi might have it was because they seemed to survive everything they did to get their goal. So made me wonder if off camera they were doing that subconsciously and not remembering, same way Mikasa seemed to forget her previous attempts and come back as random memories. I’m just speculating of course but being able to change an outcome of a fight would be a way to make sure one wins incredible odds. And Kenny seemed to die once his dream delusions died too
yes i believe that she knows that she doesnt have that power, its like wishing for something really hard a then actually getting it, youre happy because you got what you wanted but youre not gonna think " i got that because i have the power to get the things that i wish for", you will put it on luck or hardwork, not because you wished it
this just proves how tragic the love between eren and mikasa is. No matter how many timelines she makes, no matter how many times Eren changes the past, they could never be together. Eren will always die before her and the only way he won't, is that she forgets him which means they could only live without each other. this just makes me want to cry more.
She has infinite chances to pursue freedom with Eren. She will win eventually. No different than Ymir. Except she lives on the wings of freedom, and a desire to be with her beloved who shares her emotions.
Mikasa is the embodiment of Ymir's love, and Eren is the embodiment of Ymir's yearning for freedom (mixed with rage). The Subjects of Ymir are a part of Ymir.
Im pretty sure that Mikasa tried many other alternative timelines to extend more of Eren's lifetime so she can spend more time with him longer, but it seemed that AOT timeline is the best one.
@@lorenzobortolani5286 yes those rocks. Also, in every scene where something sudden happens (like Reiner coming out of the wall, jaw titan jumping on Eren), Levi is always seen already moving when everyone is being shown just reacting to what just happened. Ackerman blood
Yeah, this may be canon. Also, in the final manga volume, Mikasa says specifically: "so, you were the thing inside my head", talking about Ymir. This means that Ymir gave Mikasa the power, because Ymir wanted to know what would Mikasa do with Eren. And after watching her kill Eren, Ymir went back in time to protect her daughters. So, I think the entire history of aot was just a second in Ymir's life, ans she created the entire aot timeline just to see what would Mikasa do. Eren also says that: "Ymir wanted to see someone", but that someone was not Eren. It was Mikasa. So, the title: "to you, 2000 years from now", is just Ymir talking to Mikasa.
This is what I was thinking after many reads and watches My interpretation goes like this... As you said, Mikasa had the power to alter reality (which eventually creates a new timeline). She was searching for all possible realities where she could live a happy life with Eren and fulfilling Eren's dream (freedom/peace). She knew that was not gonna happen because the world outside the walls was different from what Eren thought. So, as I said, she started searching for all possibilities... And failed to accomplish both in a single reality. If they lived happily, the paradis gonna be retaliated and everyone gets destroyed. If the paradis was saved, then they dont get a chance to live together. The headache is the side effect of that. She started remembering a large number of memories from the reality she had created. The final memory mikasa had on the falco bird is NOT something that eren did. If he did so, he'll be unable to erase her memory (due to ackermen being immune to any kind of memory wipe), which will make mikasa changing of mind in this reality (my guess ). Coming back, that's a memory from a reality that she created where they lived the last moments of eron in the cabin, letting the paradis to be retaliated. we can see after that memory mikasa wrap the scarf around ( like she was satisfied with that reality) and determined to move on and kill eren in this reality. So what about ymirs and eren's (attack titan) powers? Aren't they able to do something about mikasa's reality alterations? Well, ymir only had the influence over her subjects and not ackermen, likewise the eren only had the power to have glimpse of memories of the future inheritor. eron is totally unaware of mikasa's power. To wrap things up, Mikasa's power has been a mystery from the beginning, i assume it's all been her choices throughout the show. 🙂
"This is NOT a theory. This is an explanation of what is explicit on the story." When fans propose a theory, they are using just that definition. An explanation of a narrative's observables.
True. But sadly people wrongfully associate the word theory with made up baseless ideas. It happens to scientific theories as well. "it is all just a theory"~
not sure but in the ost Barricades there's a line that goes like you know you had to kill her, kill her, oh my dirty hands it never fades, I've watched almost all the ost, ops, and eds just to read the lyrics, and god if the short versions hinted at AOE then the full version of each hint at AOE even more, besides that good video
So that's why we see a pomegranate in the anime when she thinks she's going to die! Each pomegranate seed refers to a reality in fact :o Moreover, we only see the pomegranate in the anime and not in the manga ! And at that moment she asks herself if she has to start everything anew again (yet) !
Mikasa changed the timeline to be with eren in ova the men didn't kill her father and mother but eren died so she changed the timeline so eren can live with her
I’m hoping for that. And honestly I can see sense in this. For example she was quite calm after cut Eren’s head, she just took it fast and went away, also the fact she said “see you later Eren”. I think she knew she still will be able to meet with him.
No. If I'm understanding correctly, the timeline ability is only possible when eren is available in some way or form and are both working in a parasite host synergy. But he's dead now so idk
Most of this is generally correct, but not everything is "related to an addiction" to Eren, and he certainly doesn't see his relationship with Mikasa as parasitic. He loves her very much, especially in any timeline where he learns about her powers because that helps tremendously to understand Mikasa. The problem is that, in most timelines, if Mikasa tells Eren about the powers, it accomplishes nothing because he can't do anything in most timelines, so she tends to keep him in the dark. The exception to this is if he enters the paths and gets Ymir's blessing. This is because Eren sees a vision of the original timeline's Mikasa when he enters the paths. Using that in conjunction with his fully awakened founding powers from Ymir's blessing, he can send that memory to Mikasa (only possible with her permission, since's she's an Ackerman) which she can then use in conjunction with her time looping powers to return them all to the original timeline (non AoT universe).
When this happens, I get the feeling that I'm pity Eren, as Mikasa never let him go and they keep going on the same cycle over and over again. I'm a bit scared if this theory is right, because, Mikasa's love is more of an obsession.
There is also other evidence here. (SPOILERS) In the episode when Pieck was about to detonate Eren's neck. Mikasa shouted wait, if she wasn't prepared for Eren to die yet, and the warhammer titan suddenly appeared behind Pieck stop her.
Not the right evident. All the titan eren summoned is tasked to HELP eren complete rumbling. If they tries to blow up erens head, the titans will prevent it.
OAV s are Bonus explanations. Literally Manga and Anime are enough to explain everything. The Manga see you later event 1 and 138 explain perfectly the ability of Mikasa: >Cry, pushed to the limits, Will to go home = Project herself into cabin alternative reality. Wake up crying, long dream, memories. Chapter1: Eren after « see you later » black. He wakes up Crying, long dream, memories. Who has the Will to do anything ? Mikasa WANTS to see him later. That no one wants to consider 😢 Source Material should explain everything that’s why no one believes.
Thoughts before watching the video: Not sure how I feel about this if it is true since we only see one timeline throughout all of the main story in AOT. I will say tho that if it is true then it probably still has to do with Eren or that Eren would have given her that power. I am guessing you might talk about the memory Mikasa got about the log cabin scene, but that one, in my opinion, was made up by Eren, sent to Mikasa using the Attack Titan and Founder Titan together, and basically fake. I am looking forward tho to hearing what you have to say in this video. Thoughts After watching the video: Ok, so although some things made sense but I don’t really get it. I know that the timeline that we have watched throughout the anime is a timeline where Eren dies no matter what and the rumbling and all of that happens and so on. I still don’t get Mikasa being able to create timelines without something Eren would have done. The timeline that I have watched in AOT with the rumbling and everything makes almost perfect sense when it comes to everything that happened in it but this does not make much sense, also isn’t Eren the Mirror man?

Interesting. The blue butterfly is most definitely a nod to the iconic blue butterfly in Life is Strange, which is present when protagonist Max discovers her powers of time manipulation. Other big similarities follow. SPOILERS for LIS below but I'll be vague and won't completely ruin things. Max spends the whole story using her time manipulation powers to try to save the person she loves, but no matter what she does, it's like destiny itself has marked this person for death. In the end, this person is about to be responsible for the destruction of the town and the deaths of most of its citizens. Max has to choose whether or not to sacrifice this person to save the town. Some of the specifics are too similar to be a coincidence imo, so LIS was likely an inspiration.
That game came out years after AoT came out, both Life is Strange and AoT reference the butterfly effect theory, which suggests that the world is interconnected and that one small action can influence a large and complex outcome where the same action can cause many different outcomes all leading to the same thing sooner or later

... so I have missed an OVA. But why would Isayama-sensei create this ability of Mikasa? Is it to legitimize Founder Ymir's choice, or to lay down ground works for future stories?
Yeah. In "AOE" theory, we thought it was Isayama crating the plot for an Anime Original Ending, getting everyone by surprise. But it didn't happened, and Mikasa abilities and multiples realities in AOT kept a mystery. People think that Yams still have a trick to use.
But youre wrong. Eren made the Cabin Scene for them to spend time with each other, while it was a second in real life, it was 4 years for them. Mikasa didnt make that reality, it was Eren making it within Paths. Did you miss like the whole thing?
It wasn't "within paths". It was the second reality prior to the last one. That's how Eren talked with the rest, but for Mikasa it was different. Eren decided not to talk to her that's why he whined to Armin about Mikasa moving on from him.

@@atakaninat1811 The reason why Mikasa must die is explained in this video. Because of her inability to forget Eren and accept his death, she keeps creating new timelines where he is alive again. After her peaceful death in the first timeline shown in chapter 138, she would have created the anime timeline. In this timeline Eren explicitly asked her to forget him after drawing the hatred of the world on him to avoid a new reboot. Unfortunately we understand that it did not work because Mikasa was not able to forget Eren ( just like the opposite also happened ). The only way would be that Mikasa no longer has the possibility to create a new timeline and she should therefore die
@@toki8096 Maybe Eren will finish his mission before Mikasa tries to kill him. So Mikasa has no reason to kill him either. I mean , Is it possible to have a scenario where both live?
@@atakaninat1811 All we’re saying here is theory, and nobody has the science or the concrete answer even if they say that. According to the theory, the conclusion that you advance cannot happen because the reason why there are 3 timelines created in snk is Mikasa’s inability to forget Eren and accept his death. For the cycle and the reboot of the timelines to end, we need a different end of the manga. Currently in anime we are at the same point as in manga in chapter 134. Eren opposes the alliance. In manga, Eren has already tried to give Mikasa the duty to kill him while asking him to forget him. He thought that by doing this Mikasa would definitely accept his death but that was not the case because even if she kills him, she clearly says that she cannot forget him and the end of the manga goes in this direction. Knowing that Eren and Mikasa cannot live together, the only remaining solution would be for Eren to kill Mikasa and the alliance. Eren’s "mission", like you saide, in the scale of the anime and the "normal" history of the work is certainly to complete the Rumbling. But from the point of view of the theory, it’s more than that because it’s about putting an end to the creation of timelines. And for that, Mikasa must forget Eren and therefore she must die. On top of that, this "ANR" type of purpose corresponds to the many clues we have in the work and the additional contents. Especially the dead white birds in the opening My War in the number of 11 as in the poster of part 3 and the number of graves in the clip Akatsuki No Requiem ... If you want more info, feel free to read the @aoetheory and @justiceforeren threads on Twitter.
But now the parasite (hallucigenia or whatever) is killed, the so-called timeline creation isn't work anymore? Why would a parasite have a 6th dimensional ahh thingy ability. Totally not a hallucigenia at all. It was an alien.
I don't understood correctly your comment. But, sincerely? Anything is possible in the anime timeline. Judging that Mikasa will die it's just a hunch - that makes a lot of sense. Let's see what waits for us.
So the AOT is an endless loop. When Eren died, he was under the tree where the anime began. Mikasa is probably trying to change the future so that Eren will survive, so he's protecting him. But she's always failing.
Im sorry you didnt understood half of what Isayama worked so hard to craft. The reason why we only saw what Zeke said about the ackermanns much later in the story is exactly to deny what Eren said to Mikasa before. Its not about what is said first that we are meant to believe, only what is shown last is the truth revealed in every good piece of fiction.
@@nullboi365 sadly it does, not the fact that Eren was lying no, what trully makes this theory fumble is how little he actually understood from the characters and the story as a whole. If he put the actual facts straight on paper he would also soon realize this theory to be impossible. Better yet, he should be asking himself why did Eren decided to let his mother be eaten by a titan? Why and how did he save zeke by the most ex machina move ever, that random pure titan put him in his belly to revive him with the help of Ymir. Why did Ymir Freckles stayed at the same spot, day and night for 60 years and only woke up right when the warriors were close by. Can someone explain this video to me !!! I dont understand a thing ! Just finished the last episode .. so Mikasa is the devil now?! She meant to kill Eren ?!!
Okay so....this may not explain the video as I havent rewatched it yet but heres my understanding Mikasa was given the ability to create parallel worlds(or view into parallel worlds from within her mind) subconsciously, (maybe intentionally at this point) when eren connected to the founding titan and made a vow to always wrap mikasas scarf forever and ever. Though the vow wasnt made intentionally, it was a vow he made which was ingrained into the coordinate by ymir. Which means if she desired she could create infinite timelines where she can live with eren peacefully where he would always wrap her scarf. But in all of those worlds Eren is fated to die cause his will collides with death. He is marked by ymir, the specter of death. When she wishes to see him with great conviction she peers into a reality of her own wishes. When she thought he died in season 1 she peered into another reality, a reality where the survey corps just shut down and they never had to enlist as soldiers and mikasas parents never died. She was miserable cause she never got to see eren that much, he only visited her house every couple months or such, so she wished for him to visit more, then the ENTIRE UNIVERSE did some magic to make eren visit her more. She got greedy and kept wanting to see him more often, which results in eventually her mother becoming so sick that they literally have to move into the inner capital. She alters her realities. Eren still wraps her scarf cause she was worried he would die, but its not as if she truly cared for eren as a person, the person he was, she didnt care about erens wants or his will as long as he was alive and her version of eren. Eren was miserable in this reality and jumped at the chance to escape the walls, which resulted in him dying for armin in a airplane (hot air balloon). There are possibly other examples i dont remember chapter 138 Mikasa wants to go home with eren. So she peers into a reality where she had actually and literally made a home with eren, which could only have existed if they ran away in chapter 123(131). But as its said before eren is marked by the specter of death (ymir) so he dies after his curse of ymir reached its end. Plus once again, Eren is unsatisfied and unhappy in this reality. similar to rezero if youve seen it, Subaru in a alternate reality abandoned everything, which made him gravely depressed but he could still smile in the end cause he had a face waiting for him at home. I consider this situation that. Then in the manga its hinted that eren died in the cabin scene due to ymirs curse, cause the first page of that scene was the only numbered page in the ENTIRE manga, it was numbered 13 (13 year curse) In the end. Isayama grew older and felt more responsible to allow his main characters to survive due to everyone connecting so much with his characters and retconned all of this stuff to pander to a happy ending and eremikas. it would have been cool though if he wasnt a hack
But do you know why she can in the first place? Eren gave her that ability, by touching Dina Fritz hand, activating the founder and making a new vow. Eren bypassed the Karl Fritz vow to renounce war, and made a new vow on accident by touching Dina, a titan with royal blood.
If someone wanted to bypass a vow, like Mr Ksaver (Zeke's Father figure) says, they need a person with The Founding Titan, and Titan of Royal blood. Eren made this vow by saying, I'll wrap this scarf around you, as many times as you want. Until now and forever

The eerie music and the slow captions really give a feeling of dread and realization. No wonder Eren’s head was so messed up. Controlling reality, manipulation it, visiting other realities, and changing them as well, but all in an instant. So Eren was destined to die in most of the realities.

@@aoetheory33 ah ok but what has it to do with eren?
So I guess maybe since eren s final moments came close(since his dying titan marks started to appear),she killed him since she can create a new timeline with him and to just stop the rumbling since it's his final moments already no? That "see you later" moment

More like Azumabito not the Ackerman bcz we NEVER seen Levi or Kenny experiencin that ONLY Mikasa
@@rihamashraf4493 I thought about it too but the mother didn’t seem to have it or didn’t know how to use it. Perhaps she didn’t have the trigger same way Mikasa’s dad died without awakening his powers apparently
Why I thought that Kenny and Levi might have it was because they seemed to survive everything they did to get their goal.

Yeah. When its not on purpose you can see how cruel their world is :(
Just isayama being genius
this just proves how tragic the love between eren and mikasa is. No matter how many timelines she makes, no matter how many times Eren changes the past, they could never be together. Eren will always die before her and the only way he won't, is that she forgets him which means they could only live without each other. this just makes me want to cry more.
but i still don't understand how could he live if she forgets him, since he would still have the ymir curse upon him
She has infinite chances to pursue freedom with Eren. She will win eventually. No different than Ymir. Except she lives on the wings of freedom, and a desire to be with her beloved who shares her emotions.
I've been waiting for you to release this video for a while, and man i’m so glad you finally did it, great vid can’t wait the next ones

LOVING the deep creepy Atmospheric music and the music addition/edit on almost each scene is very suiting.
Mikasa is the embodiment of Ymir's love, and Eren is the embodiment of Ymir's yearning for freedom (mixed with rage). The Subjects of Ymir are a part of Ymir.
Exactly! Well done. That's the key of the trama.
goes insanely hard and really captures mikasas character
Im pretty sure that Mikasa tried many other alternative timelines to extend more of Eren's lifetime so she can spend more time with him longer, but it seemed that AOT timeline is the best one.
Levi and Mikasa both, sense the rocks coming towards them without looking at them, in the scene where the plane is brought over the Founding Titan.
do you mean the rocks that zeke's beast titan threw? and i don't understand what that has to do with this video.
@@lorenzobortolani5286 yes those rocks. Also, in every scene where something sudden happens (like Reiner coming out of the wall, jaw titan jumping on Eren), Levi is always seen already moving when everyone is being shown just reacting to what just happened.
Ackerman blood
@@mukarramkamal5432 right, got you, but I still don’t get if that has to do something with mikasa’s ability to warp reality
Epic
damn..
NOW THATS A REAL TWIST
7:20 mess of memories
Timelines merging
This is what I was thinking after many reads and watches
My interpretation goes like this...
thats why its erens story from mikasa pov.
So Mikasa didn't reach the Steins Gate Timeline where everybody lives.
She wasn't a mad scientist

I swear, glad I’m not the only one
Mikasa changed the timeline to be with eren in ova the men didn't kill her father and mother but eren died so she changed the timeline so eren can live with her
So, does that mean Mikasa is living a happy life with Eren in somewhere another timeline?
I’m hoping for that. And honestly I can see sense in this. For example she was quite calm after cut Eren’s head, she just took it fast and went away, also the fact she said “see you later Eren”. I think she knew she still will be able to meet with him.
No
No. If I'm understanding correctly, the timeline ability is only possible when eren is available in some way or form and are both working in a parasite host synergy. But he's dead now so idk
and have lots of sex
I’ve seen some reaching in my life but my god this theory takes the cake.
Atleast they can live together in the afterlife
My brain it's not braining
Now I can't sleep thinking about it wtf
There is also other evidence here. (SPOILERS)
In the episode when Pieck was about to detonate Eren's neck. Mikasa shouted wait, if she wasn't prepared for Eren to die yet, and the warhammer titan suddenly appeared behind Pieck stop her.
Not the right evident.

OAV s are Bonus explanations. Literally Manga and Anime are enough to explain everything.
The Manga see you later event 1 and 138 explain perfectly the ability of Mikasa:
>Cry, pushed to the limits, Will to go home = Project herself into cabin alternative reality.
Wake up crying, long dream, memories.
Chapter1: Eren after « see you later » black. He wakes up Crying, long dream, memories.
Who has the Will to do anything ? Mikasa WANTS to see him later.
Eren GOT projected into the start of all the story by Mikasa.
But it’s a bit more complicated if you connect the Manga and Anime.
But yeah OAVs are details Bonus.
That no one wants to consider 😢
Source Material should explain everything that’s why no one believes.

Thoughts before watching the video:
Not sure how I feel about this if it is true since we only see one timeline throughout all of the main story in AOT.
Thoughts After watching the video:
Ok, so although some things made sense but I don’t really get it.

Future Eren was a conduit to himself.
Ymir was a conduit to Mikasa.
could you expand on that? please.
@@lorenzobortolani5286 Eren's power to see memories of the future means that he possessed himself like a ghost. He could not go against his own nature and was a prisoner of freedom. He himself was his own cage. The Eren we knew died the moment he kissed Historia's hand, and I mean that literally.

@@ShreyasV0 There is one more thing I want to ask. Most of the proponents of AOE say Mikasa should die. What is the reason of this?
So the AOT is an endless loop. When Eren died, he was under the tree where the anime began. Mikasa is probably trying to change the future so that Eren will survive, so he's protecting him. But she's always failing.
good vid
Im sorry you didnt understood half of what Isayama worked so hard to craft.
The reason why we only saw what Zeke said about the ackermanns much later in the story is exactly to deny what Eren said to Mikasa before. Its not about what is said first that we are meant to believe, only what is shown last is the truth revealed in every good piece of fiction.
That doesn't disprove the theory, just means Mikasa's obsession is fueled by something else
He didnt even realized that Eren can manipulate pure titans and eldians alike across time and space, thanks to the founder while inside the realm. Mikasa had nothing to do with this. Eren decided to do all of these and more by his own will to keep moving forward to save Eldia.
Make a video of your POV of understanding AOT story then👀, I'll watch it
Can someone explain this video to me !!! I dont understand a thing ! Just finished the last episode .. so Mikasa is the devil now?! She meant to kill Eren ?!!
Okay so....this may not explain the video as I havent rewatched it yet but heres my understanding
Mikasa was given the ability to create parallel worlds(or view into parallel worlds from within her mind) subconsciously, (maybe intentionally at this point) when eren connected to the founding titan and made a vow to always wrap mikasas scarf forever and ever.
There are possibly other examples i dont remember
chapter 138 Mikasa wants to go home with eren. Then in the manga its hinted that eren died in the cabin scene due to ymirs curse, cause the first page of that scene was the only numbered page in the ENTIRE manga, it was numbered 13 (13 year curse)
In the end. Isayama grew older and felt more responsible to allow his main characters to survive due to everyone connecting so much with his characters and retconned all of this stuff to pander to a happy ending and eremikas.
it would have been cool though if he wasnt a hack
