our unemployment which is a leading indicator, especially for recession that’s the major reason why it was designed has been pretty stable. Fed is going to sit tight. They have been into their tightening campaign for less than two years, and in my opinion, things are calling off the labor market is strong, and the US dollar on the global front is very strong. A real estate market is also strong. Commercial office is like a slow rolling recession that will slowly figure itself out because large banks have little exposure for the most part. I believe what Liz and Saunders describes that we have been in a recession in different sectors and because we have a bifurcated economy, the upper income earners are driving economy that is mostly services driven to continued growth… well other countries are trying to figure out the Dollar and how to stay away from it. They are stockpiling gold because they unloaded it during Covid and that has never worked. Historically US is a very good place. We just have a lot on our plate with two wars and coming out of a global pandemic.

People cant afford new homes due to high interest rates, high home prices, and high cost of necessicities. So they splurge in meaningless stuff trying to fill that void.
Truth is, we're witnessing a sinking Titanic, and its getting slowly deeper then a recession. We call this "controled demolution". All by design to give birth to the Bretton Woods 3.0 monetary system. Thats not a conspiracy anymore. Those rulers are trully evil and thats why God will wipe this world once and for all.

There is a freight recession and I have friends who are barely getting one day of work per week. It’s either that or you work for free. They are selling their trucks and going to work for established companies many of whom aren’t hiring. It’s actually pretty bad out there in terms of good paying jobs. My job is very secure, praise God, and I love what I do. I just wish it was closer to home so I didn’t have to commute as far. she makes easy to understand. good interview. Interesting how construction is the last to fall this time. I think that's where in lies the problem. Previously when the Fed raised rates, it mainly affected construction jobs and led into manufacturing. Today with the shortage of homes, construction has not seen layoffs like we should have but other manufacturing industries have. Part of the reason the debt it so high is construction saw this coming and booked a ton of jobs 2 and 3 years out so they wouldn't be in the position of previous recessions.

Many US companies have been borrowing money and using those proceeds to doing share/stock buybacks
They will keep doing that as long as the Government bails them out every once in a while
