eventually people will just have home servers as people get more and more used to technology. you get to host all your media for yourself. all your nests get attached to this and all your photos are safe there. you can always store sensitive info in other places like your laptop hard drive or some SD card. this though will only happen when people start accepting a standard in IOT and it is kept open source. it will seem so archaic in the future that we used to pay 100-200 rs per month for just a few GB of cloud storage when you can just have your own. even right now this is possible just not very accessible.

This is definitely getting stolen in my neighbourhood. During covid there was a rise of theft in my colony. Mostly bicycles and motorcycles parked outside homes would be stolen so a few neighbours installed cctv. Within weeks most of these cctv were smashed and broken. One man (thief) even yanked the cctv while it was running and we could clearly see his face in the recording. The footage was provided to the police. For a few days they would patrol but after a week or two even the patrolling stopped. I think this bell will only work in gated communities where there is security and surveillance 24/7. If this is installed in independent homes/bungalows it is surely getting stolen or smashed with rocks.

i would say Indian audience will instead will 1 or 2 cctv camera for their doors as almost every single person knock on door instead of doorbell and people will frustrated with charging that and will feel insecure of it being stolen until or unless you live in a privileged area or colony . So in my opinion it will be rather useless or expensive for majority of the middle class family
I think in india other alternatives are better than this. well it doesn't give some capabilities but they also not work on batteries so you don't have to worry about the charging.
What about integration with home automation systems? Take a walk around home assistant communities. You'll know how poor this product is rated(for the fact,all the google products are bad, unreliable when you're trying to create home automations)

I use a TP Link Tapo wireless camera mounted at a height. Gives me a better view of the gate and the surroundings when the bell rings.
