Lawless is a genious of heavy metal.
My brother and I would run back roads drinking and raising hell listening to this album. Of course we listened to other stuff but this was one of our favorites.
Rest in peace big brother, the roads are a lot quieter without you.

Back when music hit you like a ton of bricks, blasting down the garden stare parkway on the way to shore with an open beer and these tracks on cassette pouring out of the speakers. Sorry for your loss, hang in there, we might make it..........probably not though.
Whatever happens it was a fun ride anyway.

Never understod why they never broke through like the rest of the "big " bands. Been a fan since the Animal EP.
TuRockShow Podcast Tipper Gore and the P.M.R.C. are the reason. While they weren't huge, They still had a loyal fanbase and some of their albums went gold I believe.
@@charlesdavis4887 I'd say WASP were pretty big, moreso around the time of the electric circus through to the headless children era in particular. As for the PMRC, theres a saying 'any publicity is good publicity!' Are the PMRC still even around these days?
They just became ungodly big in Europe and focused on that audience more. Kinda never pushed to be big in the States after a while.

Wasp make me feel soo happy they are one of the best american of heavy metal in the world.
Lawless- One of the best singer heavy metal bands of américa and of world.
To me they always had some insane hidden, classic metal style songs, like Mean Man, or FDG for example. A very distinctive sound with Blakie´s voice and Holmes riffs and tone, the straight and heavy drum tracks. Plus the kind of slow/heavy songs like Restless Gypsy or Widow Maker had that epic western aura, that was quite unique in my opinion.
I remember W.A.S.P at the river....when it was running FREE.!!!

Possibly the most underrated bands ever because they are nothing short of amazing plus i was listening to i wanna be somebody the second time i bench pressed 280.pounds the first time was quiet riot.metal health 😊😊😊

Don't understand why the intro to Chainsaw Charlie was cut. The Best of the Best compilation was the same way.
Probably for time compression reasons, both the original CD pressing and vinyl releases for this compilation were maxed out on time. Your average CD can only hold about 80 minutes of music ('12 vinyls probably hold a bit less), and Capitol Records probably decided the song worked better outside of The Crimson Idol LP's context with the acoustic intro chopped off.
