I've been messing with the duo for about a week now and literally after crawling my way through the finish line of downloading windows onto the phone, nearly bricking the entire device during the process this app gets released. Lol im not mad but man i knew patience was a virtue. Very excited to see where this project continues to go. High hopes.
thanks for this, i've been using my original surface duo as my fallback device, i went back to my iphone 11 for a bit and the battery is halfway dead from natural use, i purchased a Moto Stylus and hated how slow it was, went back to surface duo, currently searching for a replacement device for my main phone, so i may use this technique to turn my duo into a win 11 device, thanks my friend
Installed last night - very impressive - makes me think that Microsoft were always going to release an Arm version of a Windows Surface Duo device but drastically underestimated software and hardware (snapdragon) development times.
Gus is crazy, man... If only I had 1% of his power. This project is interesting, but sadly not really worth it when so many things are broken. Btw did the performance of the Duo got better on the new builds with Prism?
Also wondering this. Presumably the experience will only get better over time with more and more apps being compiled for ARM, just hope the bug fixes for the device keep coming in
Which would be better if you mainly use your device as an e-reader and to deal with emails and SMS, with few calls? Windows install or Android 14 install?
Good to hear this. I will try it. Thanks for the info. Question: Can I install this from a SD1 that already has Thai's Pixel Experience 14 installed on it? Or do I have to go back to stock 12L and then do this? I don't use Android 14 Pixel experience because of its lack of dual-screen-ease so I am ready to wipe that.
@@mbeeson123456 I had a similar issue where windows starts to install, gets to 100% restarts into android but android reports 128GB on a 256GB device. Using WOA app to go to windows mode causes a black screen. I had to use the guide to remove windows and repartition. I tried this 3 times, always the same result. Seems there are some bugs to be worked out. Only thing I can think of is my android shows 12 not 12L. I've used windows recovery to go back to stock several times but it never updates to 12L
I have a real basic question.............. Why in the world would anyone install Windows on "Anything"? Windows is a disaster. I was forced to use it when I was in the corporate world because my employers didn't know any better. But since I have been retired, for the last 22 years, I have not owned anything that runs Windows, nor will I. I certainly don't want it on my phone.
Disguising an ill informed opinion as a question is a clear sign of an attempt to diminish the work that is mentioned here. Windows as an operating system is a great tool for people because of the plethora of services and tools available for the OS. Having a portable device in the same form factor as a folding phone is a great tool for people who want to do more on their devices. Having the opportunity to install programs and running the full versions of productivity applications is a great feature which is why Surface Pro 11 is such a great device for people who want an iPad that can do more.
If you've got questions, the best place to as is in the Telegram group for this project. t.me/duowoa
Imagine if the Surface Duo team had been given the time and talent to make it as good, as this port team is making Windows 11 on Duo.
andromedaOS and cshell。but they gave up。。。
Surface duo team probably does not exist any more for quite some time now ;)

I take it, it doesn't have video out? This is super cool
Why is audio so hard to fix on this device

I just saw this story and was here to tell you but you already made a video
Con windows instalado, puede hacer y recibir llamadas telefónicas normalmente?

Is it still worth to get a surface duo 2 as my secondary phone?
Another reason to buy a surface duo again
Mine gets really hot when I boot into windows mode. Any advice?
Hello, I noticed a surface Duo 2 dock in one of your other videos. Do you know where one may be purchased. Thanks
duodocks.square.site/
can you boot back to android?
Yes
Everyone?
Does anybody knows if Metatrader 4 or 5 is working on it?
Why apple still isn't running any form of Mac OS on an iPad is beyond me at this point.
I just bricked my divice
Got the partition installed but it won't switch to windows through the windows app it just goes to the recovery and only thing that works is restart
I would suggest hitting the telegram group for help. t.me/duowoa

Can you make and receive phone calls ,text, WhatsApp on this?
I would assume so, but you'd have to use a Bluetooth device for audio

Hey there, how do I reset an old (botched) install?
