If you pay attention, the pitch box adds an annoying "chorus" background. I have it and it's way more noticeable when you play. The digitech circuit is way cleaner. Both are still better than the MS-50g pitch shifter.

I find covers of obscure no-hit mid 60s songs and record my own versions just for the f of it, and pretty often, the tunings will be funny, like open Es might be Gs or F flats. I guess in small towns in the mid 60s ppl tuned their guitars however they felt like it, cos tuners were probably expensive and rare back then. This would be perfect for matching it up, if I want to actually do the songs the way they were originally done. Good demo of what this does.

Fantastic demo. I recently got a Boss OC-3 for the purpose of creating bass lines with my guitar, for home use - mostly to add bass to rhythm loops to solo over for practice. I find that every time I use it, it will crap out on one or two particular notes - it will sound the octave down pitch briefly then jump up to standard pitch. Only on certain notes. It’s annoying. I don’t know why it’s happening.

Yeah, there's a little delay in notes, but I used the Mooer for som months with my band. I thought the delay was not noticeable playing alive with band, unless you do a very fast shred, it may be an issue. But as I'm not a "fast" player, can't say.
About the out of tune feel, have you played it loud or with headphones? If you hear the processed sound (from the amp) and also the strings sound, they will make you listen 2 different tunes, and certainly will sound very out of tune. The more you eliminate the sound of strings, better.
I think the Digitech is way better than Mooer, but for live situations I think the WORST problem of Mooer is the noise.
