I remember it different. When you first went into the chamber, you'd pull a couple levers, no music, and 049 would come out of the elevator. Then when you returned a second time, this music would play and the power would go out
@@non-existingbeing2098 if you listen closely you can hear a female voice, there is also a video (by the original artist I'm assuming) that shows the individual layers of the song
Had before, drew a lot of 049 drawings just by listening to this. Gives a lot of peace and great atmospheric if you really think about death and Plague doctors of those times. Always come back again and again to listen.
you can feel an spirit evolving you, gunshots in the background in the mountains, a female voice asking for help, and the atmosphere environment. this is so perfect man.
This music definitely made it less boring and painful when I was stumbling around in complete darkness for 15 minutes to find the switch to turn the lights back on because I didn't stop by 939's area to get night vision goggles.
i dont know why, but i can never get over that fucking doctor, its just too scary, and 106 too, all the others are fine, but those two fill me with genuine fear by just seeing them. meanwhile i can look at 173 and be perfectly ok, only when it appears out of nowhere is it scary.
@@BluesAnimationChannel98 I would describe it has a very mysterious song, it gives me like a feeling that im in a very dangerous place and all you need to do..is let HIM heal you.
I remember when there was no ambience down in 049s chamber, now that they did, it makes the area 10 times more cool
Yes it also has some kinda medieval feel to it
@@downtotheboiler5621 medieval in High-tech Facility. It's genius!

I love how when you enter 049's level the lights go off and the sound of the blackout is smoothly transitioned to the ambience
This has a medieval feel to it so cool
Its so relaxing and scaring at the same time. I like it
I might actually pass out at this rate.

What voice?

I tried max volume with headphones… aint hearing anything I assume the voice is the person that got “cured” by 049 near the beginning of the breach.
@@non-existingbeing2098 heres the breakdown, once you hear the voice you will know what to listen for: th-cam.com/video/YHCmXPGELUU/w-d-xo.html

Hearing this when heading down to 049s chamber for the first time without night vision goggles.. I shat many many bricks
As many bricks as it took to build Boston
As many bricks as it took to build the great wall of china

the music fits the subject so well
In case nobody noticed if you listen really carefully at certain parts of the song you can faintly hear 049 breathing
I didn't notice it at first either.

Above all themes, this one truly communicates nothing more than dread and death...

This is what plays when you need to go to pee at the night and the only working bathroom is downstairs
*quietly goes down the CREAKING LOUD ASS STAIRS*
And then the pervert ghost tries to watch you
So you decide to piss out the window
I honestly felt safe when I heard this in the lift. That quickly became, no way would this game ever let you think that, then the fear built so fast.
Never before has going to the doctor felt so unnerving.

Listening to this in a dark room is soo fire 🔥
The occasional Dracula piano sound perfectly suits 049 imop
I’ve never seen someone describe an organ as a “Dracula piano” but hey there’s a first for everything.
It made the encounter more not scary but...intense
This kinda sounds medieval Like from when the black death struck Europe.
Or an abandoned church at night 😬
Yeah because it's 049's theme (plague doctor)
This gives off a lot of black plague vibes

Just recently played outlast, it's crazy realizing this song sampled "Now My Son," from near the end of the game.
Here's a word of advice:
Don't trust 049. Ever.
Ok but why does this sound like the ambience that plays when you're getting to the chapel in Outlast?
I thought the EXACT same thing when I heard this, good to see I'm not the only one.
I think it has some samples from Now my son just toned down a bit
