And those are the two main themes. I don't really get any industrial theme from neither the story, the location, or anything else to be honest. I don't know what you see in it.
I like to picture the aftermath of a horrible containment breach to this theme. A team are photographing all these horrible things. Eight inch claw marks on the walls. Twisted and corroded walls and floors. Blood and viscera everywhere, but no bodies to be found. Flickering computer moniters showing more carnage. Hearing screams and gunshots from the lower levels that have yet to be cleared out. It really just sets the mood for horror.
Have to say, that'd be an interesting job within the Foundation. Usually in the aftermath of a mass shooting or terrorist attack (at least in the US), the fire department or law enforcement agency(s) will send one or two people in with video cameras and film a "walkthrough" of the entire structure, before the crime scene/forensic guys come in and start documenting everything. Imagining a 10 man team with video cameras moving through an SCP site filming the entire structure, walking slowly with a security detail would be an interesting thing tbh.

In Jacksepticeye's "The Do's and Don'ts of Horror Games" video he says that a horror game shouldn't let you feel safe for long periods of time and that you should only feel safe for a couple minutes or seconds, I think this game nails that aspect. This was the first horror game to really scare me! The sense of Dread mixed with the feeling that your always being watched is a good combination of feelings and this game did that perfectly this game always made me want to watch my back! But the Foundation? I don't know if I could work there. Of all the fictitious video game organizations this is probably the last one I would want to exist.

This ambience is just as anomalous as the SCPs in this very game. Even when played with the volume level extremely low, playback of this will cause my speaker cones to resonate like nothing else I've ever seen before. At low-moderate volume levels, my speakers will resonate so much, that it's possible to hear the rubber cones flexing! A similar effect can be noticed through my set of headphones as well, where I can quite clearly hear the drivers flexing from the stupid amounts of resonance caused by playing this composition. I would say this has to be caused the sheer amount of reverb combined with subsonic/ultra-low frequency rumble and chords used in this track. Highly noticeable during the first part of the track more than anything else.
As a matter of fact, SCP-106 never leaves you alone in this game. This breathing amplifies that feeling because SCP-106 breathes very heavily if you listen closely

I love CB. It's genius with how there is little to no music throughout the game so all you hear is your own footsteps, the occasional scream, and the monsters lurking everywhere in the facility. It's gotta be my favourite horror game ever
God the entire OST of this game is just do amazing. It has so much feeling to it. Definitely a prison vibe since you are D class but also a very spooky kinda thing going. It's so simple but every song in this game is so unique yet full of feeling. This game deserves to be called #1

This is genuinely one of the most creepy, dreadful and generally disturbing menu screen music ive heard, and with my introduction to the SCP Mythos in my youth, it brings nostalgia but the general vibe of how there are objects, entities, locations, even planets, statues, skeletons and such that are enigmas beyond the understanding of human nature.
It feels like your in a abandoned city, as your looking at the light of the sun and as you see the houses all below you as you stand from a building as they decay, mostly all of them broken down, and as you wait, its your everlasting doom of the underworld.
This nails what this game is perfectly. The amount of dread you feel when wandering through the seemingly endless hallways and corridors, fresh blood painting the floors and walls, knowing that something horrible happened there recently and that whatever caused it could still be around. The feeling of hopelessness as you walk, like all your efforts are for nothing, and the feeling of never being alone, because you know damn well you aren't. This is something I wish more horror games could nail, I'm so sad that the unity version of this game probably won't ever be finishes, because I was so excited to see scp CB make a return. All those feelings I described is what makes the scp foundation honestly the scariest thing I know, because nothing else has given me that feeling of complete and utter dread.
Yeah, the menu music and blue feather at the start of the game really encapsulate that classic SCP feel from before the wiki was flooded with a shit ton of mediocre fanfic-tier stories and barely any clinically written articles
Although the game IS scary, I'm more invested during the beginning cutscene. I'd love to see how the ethics, logistics, etc, work around the Foundation. That's also why I was so in-love with the Janitorial mod!

This soundtrack played in my head when i got to school at 6 instead of 8. It was at winter so it was dark. I got to class and there was nobody. Our class was the end of a hallway behind a corridor. It was really scary. If u wonder what i was doing there it's because i got there for Mathematics tutoring for high school entrance exams.

I’ve always wanted to play this game for myself.. but fuck the menu music is so god damn chilling. It is one of those “I dare you” games to me. It is truly a terrifying experience to watch, but to play, you need a good reason to be brave. 😂
Don't worry one day you will get used to it like I did, it's not that scary when you watch others play and play it for a bit (after already knowing what's happening), of course, when I try something I get used to it very quickly so that's why I can't experience games like most people.

This ambience is just as anomalous as the SCPs in this very game. Even when played with the volume level extremely low, playback of this will cause my speaker cones to resonate like nothing else I've ever seen before. At low-moderate volume levels, my speakers will resonate so much, that it's possible to hear the rubber cones flexing! A similar effect can be noticed through my set of headphones as well, where I can quite clearly hear the drivers flexing from the stupid amounts of resonance caused by playing this composition.
I would say this has to be caused the sheer amount of reverb combined with subsonic/ultra-low frequency rumble and chords used in this track. Highly noticeable during the first part of the track more than anything else.

I love CB. It's genius with how there is little to no music throughout the game so all you hear is your own footsteps, the occasional scream, and the monsters lurking everywhere in the facility. It's gotta be my favourite horror game ever

God the entire OST of this game is just do amazing. It has so much feeling to it. Definitely a prison vibe since you are D class but also a very spooky kinda thing going. It's so simple but every song in this game is so unique yet full of feeling. This game deserves to be called #1

This nails what this game is perfectly. The amount of dread you feel when wandering through the seemingly endless hallways and corridors, fresh blood painting the floors and walls, knowing that something horrible happened there recently and that whatever caused it could still be around. The feeling of hopelessness as you walk, like all your efforts are for nothing, and the feeling of never being alone, because you know damn well you aren't. This is something I wish more horror games could nail, I'm so sad that the unity version of this game probably won't ever be finishes, because I was so excited to see scp CB make a return. All those feelings I described is what makes the scp foundation honestly the scariest thing I know, because nothing else has given me that feeling of complete and utter dread.
Yeah, the menu music and blue feather at the start of the game really encapsulate that classic SCP feel from before the wiki was flooded with a shit ton of mediocre fanfic-tier stories and barely any clinically written articles

Don't worry one day you will get used to it like I did, it's not that scary when you watch others play and play it for a bit (after already knowing what's happening), of course, when I try something I get used to it very quickly so that's why I can't experience games like most people.
