Just a heads up: the storage bags linked are *not* silicone, but a vinyl material called PEVA, which is more environmentally desirable than PVC but less heat tolerant than silicone.
As a frequent traveler, I normally watch these essential videos and think that these people have never traveled in their lives. But your videos are actually informative
Lovevook, also has a 14”. Icelandair has a width restriction on personal item bags that is smaller than most bags, and the 14” worked for me.
You are absolutely correct about the importance of dental hygiene , dental care and heart disease , mainly damage to the valves from bacteria in your mouth. ( Endocarditis) and ( Sepsis) . Changing brush head especially after you’ve had a respiratory tract infection - change that brush head. I like your Milk Glass Collection in the background. Great tips and ideas for packing.
I agree. Excellent advice! I need to replace my toothbrush pretty soon myself.
I've watched your channel for a few years and as I watched this one, I realized I already own these items or equivalents. I might not own the exact brands, but I'm sure I ordered my items after watching you!!!!
Have fun in my beautiful island!!! The weather have been great lately not so hot and not to much rain!
Great tips, I am definitely purchasing a few of these. I will be in PR next week too!
I love my Lovevook 15 inch backpack, and I can’t wait to see your video on packing in it. 😊
Your mesh "shoe bag" is the one I use for laundry. This way when I wash on my trip I can pull out dirty shirts and bottoms but leave my socks, undies and bras in the mesh to wash and not get lost or mixed with my travel companions clothing. Saves me from loossing s all items or embarrassing moments of undies falling out of a pantbleg later.
Love the credit card tripod!!
You have made my stay in a rather warm Australia soooo much more comfortable, so a big thank you. It’s the small folding fan, the pink one, it’s brilliant. I have only had to charge it once, used it to put some charge in my phone and finally the torch came in handy too. Your gadget suggestions are really first class, thanks again.
I love your milk glass collection!! Great video
I noticed that 😊
I love your videos. I have the same level 8 in navy. I love it and it’s a great suitcase.
Thanks for the video!
I’m an American living in Europe and I travel within Europe often.
Paris hasn’t required me to take out my liquids in recent months but Germany did when I was there in December . I truly is a game of chance lol
Would love to see how you store all your travel essentials - I struggle with keeping everything together and accessible
Love your videos and adore your perspective! My favorite charger for travel is the Charmast Portable Charger with 4 different Built in Cables ($20 Amazon). I don’t have to bother with multiple cords because they are already built in😂 so my phone, earbuds and my watch can all charge (at the same time) off the bank while the bank charges in the wall or I can charge on the go! Its also small, about the size of my iPhone XS It’s a definite travel item for me and has gone everywhere with me 😂
I used my tripp toiletry bag to hold my food supplements and drink mixes, a spoon and my otc meds on my last cruise. It was sooo handy.
Love the silicone bag idea for must have items to go in the seat back pocket. I’ll also have my iPad in a bag too. From your first showing of the Lovevook bag I had to have one, love that too. Thank you for all your great videos. I’ll be doing a UK to Australia long haul flight in a while.
That is going to be a VERY long haul flight!! You're going to want lots of entertainment 😊
The linked bags are great for the suggested applications, but are PEVA, not silicone.
Welcome to Ireland during the summer!
I just flew out of London HR on 1/23/24 and they no longer had us transferring our liquids into their tiny plastic bags like they used to. They still had us take our liquids bags out and put them in the bins however.
I was going to say the same, Heathrow is notorious as being sticklers and their tiny bags!! Anyone flying through there needs to be prepared to downsize (i.e. toss) some of your liquids.
Asian countries have been far ahead on the liquid issues, flying into Japan and China over 5 years ago, they could test questionable liquids if needed but their tech was far more advanced than here in the states.
I’ve recently traveled through Amsterdam and Munich, didn’t have to take any liquids out of my bag BUT I always keep an empty quart sized bag in the sleeve compartment of my carryon in case I have to shift my liquids from my 3-1-1 bag to the “compliant” sized bag.
I’m flying to SFO this week and have used a lot of your suggestions in planning my packing! Thank you!
Have fun!! I love San Francisco, so much to do 😊
I've watched dozens of hard shell suitcase reviews and I'm surprised the Level8 suitcase works well for you because it weighs nearly 9 pounds! I do like the features of the suitcase though. I just wish it weighed less. I spent 5 weeks in 2023 traveling around the UK with a TravelPro 22" Carry-On Rollaboard that weighs 5.4 lbs. While it was great that it's so light, it was a challenge to fit everything I needed into it and keep the weight down to a manageable number and I'm not an over packer. I chose the rollaboard because I've heard horror stories about spinner wheels breaking when travelers are required to check their suitcases. As you noted in the video, we have no control over whether or not we'll be required to check carry-on suitcases at the gate.
Great tips. I'm from Goldsboro, NC but live in the Washington, DC area.
My grandparents lived in Goldsboro, spent a lot of time there as a child 😊
Genx Gypsy welcome to Puerto Rico, enjoy your trip.
Great video 👍🏾
I always try to pay more solid products and stuff you can use double, for example a hand fan that you can use as a portable charger...
Auckland New Zealand tsa was super picky about liquids.
Have you tried the Phillips One toothbrush?? I discovered it this past summer and I really love it!!
New subscribers this was super helpful too
Hey! Didn't know that you were from NC! I'm in Raleigh!
Enjoying the video!!!
Thank you for letting me know, it goes by so fast I didn't notice it during editing. Unfortunately I don't have a way to add that post upload 😢. Do you mind editing your comment to take out the exact time stamp for me please 🙏. Again, thank you for bringing it to my attention...usually I take my ID out of my wallet when I'm filming and just totally missed it this time!!
@@GenxGypsy1968 yes of course!
@@monis.4382 Thank you 😊
I was at Walmart today and they had a pair of shoes that looked like air max and another by Avia that looks like the nike 270's
I've never had trouble with that exact liquids bag in Europe or Asia. It was before 2020, but never a problem. That's my experience
I fly out of RDU as well and am planning a British isles cruise in September. What tools do you use for flights and checking prices? We did not have a good experience with the cruise line getting our flights last time so am doing my own this go round.
The suite case looks large for a carry on
What happened to that silver/no zipper suitcase you recommended? I really liked that one.
I may have missed it, but did you mention an "eye wipe" you would recommend? Thank you.
Great video! What size heroclip would you get for a backpack that will be packed full?
I have the medium and it works great with a fully loaded backpack 😊
Your umbrella can be sun protection as well
How do you protect your camera gear in that packable backpack?
I have TSA and Europe asks every time for use to remove our liquid bag if it's part of your carry-on
Have fun in Puerto Rico! I've only been there for a few hours to catch a flight to the British Virgin Islands. All I remember about THAT flight was oil (or something!) leaking out of the engine and the pilot said "No worries, it happens all the time" LOL It was a fun trip though!!
Always fun when the pilot has no problem with leaky engines 😂😂😂. It's my second time and I'm so looking forward to it!!
I think I remember you posting a video about your first trip to P.R.@@GenxGypsy1968
We went through 3 different airports in Europe with a similar liquids bag to the one you have and didn’t have any issue in any of them. Even in Heath row and new New York airports they had signs all over saying to sue their bags not your own liquid bag blah blah but I didn’t change out of my bag and no one said a thing.
Do you use a waver in your hair?
Does your portable power bank go in the gray bin with your cell phone in the TSA line?
Love these videos. So helpful. FYI I flew from Raleigh to Chicago O’Hara and back this weekend and didn’t have to take the liquids bag out of my backpack either place.
Recently found your channel, we must be soul twins, lol. Have a love look backpack, silicon bags, compressions packing cubes… And, I’m on my second Kindle Oasis because I read so much. I can verify it’s waterproof. I’m petite, and the Oasis really helps me hold it comfortably in my hand with the smaller size.
Hello twin soul 😊. I'm petite too, and I love the size of the Oasis...it's perfect!
I like my vibrating tooth brush. It’s not the same make as yours but it does take up
Less space that my oral b. In U.K. they’re super starchy bout liquids. They will just chuck it if it’s over by the smallest amount.
Could you possibly do a video on United Airline approved personal size bags? They are so much smaller than the other airlines allow.
Actually United is the same size as most US airlines, this is from their website: “These items must fit under the seat in front of you, so they must be 9 in x 10 in x 17 in (22 cm x 25 cm x 43 cm). “. So my gray backpack fits those dimensions 😊
Thanks, but unfortunately the grey bag is too large. It's 18.5x12x5.7
@@flowermiller2308 Whoops, sorry! I was going by the headline... However, the blue backpack is the one I'm going to be packing in next week's video and it is 12"L x 7.5"W x 16"H, so it would fit United's guidelines (the measurements don't have to be exact matches, more of an overall volume.)
Same for me. I'm booked on United and saw their personal item size is smaller than the other airlines which allow 18in x 14in x 8in.
Helpful video…thanks! I look forward to info on Puerto Rico! We’ve been there a few times but not in several yrs. In March, 12 of us, age 2-70, are headed there for 8 days. Family trip, not easy to plan, but will be fun to enjoy!
That is a huge age range to plan with 😊. This will be my second time to PR, we're staying over on the SW side of the island, near Rincon. I will definitely be doing a "know before you go" update video!
I love the Oasis because of the page turn buttons, but they discontinued it! WAIL
Noooo! I wonder why?? I love mine :)
My quip toothbrush is battery operated. I didn’t know they made it charging one.
I don’t see link below for descriptions
Use your iPhone 12 please. Honestly, there is NO reason for you to upgrade. So much of it is hype anyway.
If you can show folks how to take pictures with a 12 (I have one, BTW) than anyone who has a 14 on up will benefit from your tips. Sometimes it's better to use an older phone. If you have the latest, greatest phone I think it can be off-putting to folks who have older phone.
I really look forward to that video with your iPhone 12!!! You will give so much to so many!
Subbed to your new channel.
I have an iPhone 12 too, so those tips will work for me as well!
Agreed! Another iPhone 12 owner here.
Nothing wrong with over packing.
Favorite travel hacks link is missing. ☹️
Just added it to the pinned comment and the description, sorry about that!! 😊
missed phone charger didn't see it
Omg no music fabulous but
Forgive me
What is with the annoying phone signal?
I enjoyed this video. However, I wish you had listed links for each item because I've spent more time watching, pausing, and trying to find the items on Amazon.
I’m so sorry you’ve spent all that time!! I do have the items listed in both the description box and the first comment at the top of all the other comments 😊
?? She listed everything so well
I flew home on allegiant air and the seat back pocket was just a hard plastic spot only wide enough for the emergency pamphlet. That sure put a crimp in my organizing.
Oh no, that is challenging!!
I love your videos but some unnecessary comments (too much talking)
Thanks for sharing some useful items. The 15” Lovevook is my daily bag for work….organization pockets for everything ❤️. Have a great trip!!!!
I'm always behind the camera, never in the photos and I prefer it that way. I just want beautiful scenery without my stupid face in the way! My mom was a photographer and was always taking pictures of us kids and I hated it. I'm not photogenic and I'm too judgemental about pictures of myself.
