I was in the middle of my divorce and very sad I looked out one night and saw paper lanterns glowing all down the sidewalks. I went outside to see the neighbors had decorated w inflatable flamingos, each yard had a different scene from a movie. A Christmas story, it's a wonderful life, miracle on 34th street, etc and it just made me smile.
The light of the season finds us in unexpected places.
☀ I loved this video. The Christian Christmas has always been very difficult and depressing for me, but Yule and connecting with nature has been so joyous. Thank you for sharing how you're moving into this season, and for your beautiful message to all your viewers.

Thank you for this video ! I am gg through the same journey as you my sister! My dad passed over 2yr ago my mum is now in stage 4 cancer this may be our last Christmas with her and my husband left me End of February this yr my children have flown the nest and I'm totally alone in a town 5hr away from my family. The darkness that washed over me for the last yr has been intense and overwhelming! I'm 58 and at the end of menopause. I am struggling with the festive season myself. I was so afraid of being alone and no longer being a mum and not having a husband!....
I am starting to rediscover me in a more freer way I am discovering that it is ok to be alone & just coming into the feeling of liberation!
Thank you so much knowing how I have been feeling is ok ! And I am not alone on this journey and new chapter in my life !

🌞 May you have a blessed Yule. I know where you’re coming from being a Crone now but still a mom with two adult children at home it’s quite hard. Youngest is full time college student and other is on the autism spectrum and type 1 diabetic. I’ve only been a practicing witch though for a little over six years.
I’m laughing. I was so ready for them to go! Each one came back for a stint in college and I was so grateful for their time here again, but ready to have the house to myself.
Now listen to me whining 😂

When you used the expression "drop yourself in the cauldron" it made me think of taking those long soaking baths, or the winter soup that simmered all day in a crock pot, or lengthy and deep meditations. Like yourself, I find myself being pulled inward with a strength that wasn't present in previous years. Thank you for this exploration!

I love the way as witches we reclaim and change our rituals as we age. I have to say the the signatures from your grandparents touched my heart. People of that generation had a specific style of writing. It could have been the signatures of my mom or dad.
It’s true. I have a few letters from grandparents and great grandparents. I appreciate how even and lovely their script is. I like running my fingers over the letters❤️

My child came into this world during a hard time of my life where a lot was happening, kinda like you. My mom was going through chemo and I think about her that first covid Christmas that we all couldn't be together and how her nest was truly empty after that year. I cry thinking about her going from mom to grandma and how one day that'll be me too. My heart is with you ❤

omg pledge on Saturday cleaning at my gramma's along with lysol in the in the bathroom and garbages lol... and the sailor outfit and the boy cut (yes I was very upset to have my curls cut for a school photo🥺) Love your santa collection -- my mom's is growing and I'm the inheritor of them and the multiple christmas trees and every christmas I get to see the new additions🎄🤭🎄 After I moved out, I sometimes went over to help her decorate which I think eased her empty nest, but for me, I'm a fur mom, and when I decorate it's for them and whom ever happens over☺ thank you for sharing your journey

Thank you for sharing your lovely, vulnerable, and inspirational self. ☀ Watching you decorate your home reminded me of my mom who died in January 2023 -- her entire life, she adored decorating our home for the holidays but *especially* Christmas, so as a child that was absolutely bright and magical (bringing her own unique blend of deep Christian ethos into alignment with all that was Santa and imagination of spirit). Thank you for the nostalgia -- but also for YOUR unique expression of what this season now means or is coming to mean for you. And I'll be honest, I'm definitely NOT into holiday decorating at all and haven't been since my late 20s -- my 'holidays' and especially the Dark Seasons have always been INNER worlds, not outer manifestation. Which is maybe another part of why I LOVED this video (which was also exquisitely crafted!) -- each of us will meander along our own paths and, if we're blessed into presence and compassion by the Grace of the Goddess, we will know the peace of our own journey AND appreciate that of those around us. Grey days are my favorite also. I'm newly empty-nested and it's seeming tough this year. All the kids have things to do on Christmas and we aren't getting together until after the first of the year. I think this is my favorite video from you now. I connect with you in so many ways through your channel. But, this one ..... is what I, too, am experiencing right now for this particular Yuletide and Solstice Season with the New Year and next 20-year Cosmic Cycle. I, also, felt the inspiration which was kind of scary to celebrate and decorate very differently this season. Although, I'm 20 years older than you and well into the progression of croneness, I understand your reasons and your own progression into this journey of your life. Thank you for sharing your season and your journey. You speak the Truth of the Dark Mother. I am having enlightening conversations with her daily now. Her cauldron is deep, warm, and inviting. I love YOUniverse!!!

I thought it was just me. I didn’t do the lights or the decorations. We have a tree but it was hard putting it up. I’m just not wanting it anymore, but I have 4 kids from 18 to 2 still living with me. So I kinda have to a little bit.

I love all of your decorations! 💖 Thank you for sharing this peek into your practice and how you worked with the Dark Mother to help you move through this period of Cronedom during the holidays. Also - I am super inspired by the ornaments with pictures you shared and might do something similar!
My grandmother used plastic wine glasses. She used the detachable base to seal the bottoms. You then paint, decoupage, and then cover in iridescent white glitter. I think using the clear bulbs they now sell would work great. The nice thing about the glasses is that they stand...
This was such a great video. It’s been kind of hard to get out ALL of the decorations this year so I’ve been pulling out just my favorites. The more I decorate, the more I want to, but just like every else, I want a meaningful newness this year. For Mabon, it was cranberry-orange juice. For Samhain, it was the smell of Black Walnut ink after adding the clove buds. I’m eager to learn what Yule will bring. I like the idea of stoking things with a big, hot fire. That always helps me, too!

If I were to craft a video about all the feelings and emotions I am experiencing this holiday season...well, I don't have to, because you basically just did it for me. I was amazed, as I watched and listened. You put into words, so eloquently, feelings and experiences I am having but that I have not yet been able to articulate for myself. I can relate to so much of what you are going through (including trying so hard to hold back tears!) As an empty nester whose parents have passed and whose children are adults living in other states, I have been struggling to find the magic of the season for several years. I too, have been staring at boxes of decorations for days now (including my beloved Santa collection), and just not feeling the least bit inclined to do the decorating. Now, I am feeling inspired to move forward with a new version of the holidays in a way that is a reflection of my evolution. Thank you for your candor. Thank you for your authenticity. Thank you for allowing yourself to be vulnerable for the sake of inspiring others. In case you ever wonder...you are making a difference!!! The potential, uncertainty, of all that lies ahead of us is both inspiring and at times deeply terrifying. 🌞 It was so meaningful to listen and feel the profound heartache and quiet joy of this video. Its acceptance. I hope your next year is full of great healing and beautiful moments of reflection. After losing my mom this year I found that I was hosting Christmas this year and I wasn’t sure if I could wing it but now my home looks like Santa threw up the season everywhere. I kept reminding myself that I was decorating for the impending guests and my family and I found that I was really bringing in a lot of healing. I’ve nested my house in greenery and gold and warmth and I’ve been deeply healing past trauma and toxicity with the Triskele. It’s been ever constant and knowing and accepting the season and the constant turn of the Wheel, it’s helped me heal. This time of the year is so beautiful and profound to just learn to be and to let go and accept that turn of the season. 🌞 💚 🌞 So many blessings to you!

I’ve felt the same way this yule… except I am younger. I was calling on the dark mother as soon as it got colder and the days shortened. This video took my experience a step further and definitely inspires me to spend this Gemini full moon ( in my 12th house) sitting in this shadow work that I have been doing.
