Wow that was amazing.... the other tourists had a kiwi walk right up on the path! Did you see my Ulva Island video? We took the guided tour and our tourguide said that when sees the kiwi, they are usually at the bottom of a gully, milling around the ferns... he said they seldom come up and "say hi" to the people, so seeing that video of the kiwi was very very surprising.

As an American, I’m always Ana ed there’s no land predators in NZ. Camping and not worry about bears, moose, wildcats, etc? Unreal.
