I saw The Doors on this tour in Detroit in May 1970. They were amazing in the show. Played from 9:00 until 1:00 AM. Were supposed to stop at 12, but Morrison made a big deal out of continuing to play. It was in Cobo Hall and the place was packed. This is one of the songs that got the whole building rocking.

Doors have some awesome music and Jim Morrison himself was an interesting figure. He's definitely one of the bad boys of rock. Fantastic lyricist and wrote poetry as well. It's worth doing a little digging into his story. He had a love/hate relationship with his fans and stardom, and combined with the drugs and alcohol his story unfortunately ended too soon. Enjoy this rabbit hole cause it's one of a kind!
Jim Morrison was a kind of a troubled guy doing lots of drugs acting lots of crazy one song I didn't see anybody mention was people are strange I can identify with that song and I'm pretty sure he could too or light My Fire LA Woman I could go on and on but looks like most of the songs that we're great are listed below my mom used to hate when I listen to The doors

Been into the Doors' music and Morrison's poetry since the 60s and I can guarantee that they'll take you down a very deep and twisted rabbit hole young brother. Combining Jim Morrison's poetry with the musical skills of Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger, and John Densmore could induce a trance or trigger a riot. One of my favorite of their tunes is The Soft Parade. It's "different." LOL

Almost always you're better off with the studio version of a Doors song due to Jim's substance abuse issues and the often absolute chaos of their concert appearances. This one is better than most live versions, but the studio version is still better.
