Doug's determination to stick with Fabled is as inspiring as it is tragic.
If i had one coin for each time Doug's fabled deck cost him the season's victory, i would have two coins. Which isn't much but it's kinda frustrating it happend twice.

@@TheGuyWhoIsSitting Baronne is not in the swordsoul pack. and it is generic, can be used anywhere. I used her in some vanilla + white aura fish synchro deck in one of the synchro festivals.
however since baronne is in a secret pack now, she is more than likely to get legacy banned

I will never get tired of this series
I think we can all blame Master Duel for Doug losing the Finale. It knew what would happen if it gave Doug the Fabled pack. This was a nice season decks definitely seemed a lot more powerful and it felt like every ban list was completely changing the decks being played. With some of these new secret packs coming out there's definitely going to be a need to legacy ban some of the more uninteractive stuff.
The moment I saw he pulled that pack I thought "fuck me he's gonna do it this time isn't he?" I don't know why people call him the Altergeist guy when he's clearly the Fabled guy at this point.
Fabled isn't even bad, its just beyond Doug's ability to play. Its not good don't get me wrong but he just can't seem to tap its full potential.
If I had a nickel for every time MBT has underestimated salad in a format where he had the power to deal with it I would have 2 nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happened twice right?
Even more so when you consider the first of those series was one he himself curated.
I don't think it's fair to say he "underestimated salad" here. Doug's initial salad pulls were unbelievably bad, in a format with all the other garbage they were slinging around there was no reason to pay much attention to it. It was only after Doug got into the pack for a second time that it became a real strategy worth taking seriously, and that strategy saw the light of day for the first time this episode.
That said, given that he did decide to hit salad on the second banlist, I think limiting Rage was the absolute worst hit he could've gone for. I can't defend that one

Doug's commitment to the Fabled bit is inspiring. I'm really going to miss this incarnation of Master Saga.

I loved the season. Especially that you both took it a bit more seriously and played strong decks. Watching drafted decks might be one off the most fun things in yugioh.
Hope we get a new cohost next season would love Cimoooo or lukevonkarma.

without the new predaps that deck doesnt do crap. you need byblisp, ambulomelides, and the scales so bad for that to be remotely decent. those are not in the secret pack
@@nbassasin8092 look at its performance in the TCG. It was DOGWATER compared to the other variants of Despia. And besides, the rank 4 deck was insane, despite all of the hits
@@stevenashley27 I never said it is the same as him playing despia, but you cant tell me that lvl 4 incest utopia turbo is a better deck than Pred Despia. He only got lucky because Doug played his monster in attack, like MBT himself said, if he doesnt do that there is a good chance that deck just cant win. PLus he got amazingly lucky that he had 3 extenders that he needed to go both lines he wanted
and second thing, even if you are right, isnt it still better to have options and go for predaplant Despia instead of CYBER ANGELS, you atleast have to admit that it is better than them. Especially with only 10 packs where even if you pulled the absolute best cards, you could still end up with unplayable deck because rituals in limited dont only require high rarity cards, but also the exact specific low rarity cards that you could just not pull and be f""ed
I hope we get to see a second season with MBT at some point.

This has been one of my favorite seasons i loved how back and forth it was. GG to doug and joseph.
Watching the pieces of the colossus engine come together in Doug's brain was so amazing.
What a fantastic end to a fantastic season! It was always back and forth, and the decks were insane! The rule changes this season really made things more interesting, and I can't wait to see what rules you come up with next!
This saga was so good! I love how Doug and MBT both had these powerhouse constructed decks AND the jank piles. This was a very intense episode!

I really was hoping they negotiated some unbans for the last episode.
A little sad to see MBT open the Ghostrick pack but not going into it. Imagine the insanity that would have been Ghostrick vs. Fabled piloted by their respective masters as game 1 in this finale.
Nonetheless, really a fun to watch match and a great ending to a crazy season. Big thanks to Doug and Joseph for this awesome content. And big thanks to Crush Cards for adding all the spice throughout the videos. Always loving their edits to lighten up some slower parts of the videos or just to add a small "side joke".
Now I'm excited to see MBT back at Roulette with all the remaining doggy packs left.
I’ll put a comment here for Doug on the chance that other viewers may agree, but I prefer MBT on Saga and Farfa on Roulette. I’ve really enjoyed the swap this season. If we can’t keep him permanently then maybe he can make a reappearance here and there.

30:40 This is actually not an OCG moment, this also applies to the TCG. Much like you can legally chain Torrential as CL5 to a summon, you can Simorgh as any chain link. Every chain link in the summon response window is considered to be responding to BOTH the previous chain link in addition to the summon itself. You can also Bottomless at any point in the summon response window for the same reason, even activating two separate Bottomless Trap Holes in the same chain.
Bottomless and Torrential are quick effects though. Simorg is a Trigger. Im pretty sure OCG has different rulings on how Trigger effects on monster that summon themself from hand work - Kagetokage, Blue Mountain Butterspy, etc
The issue for me was more about that in the TCG, when he normal summoned he'd have to declare his simorgh before I had a chance to activate my trap. I truly thought I was in an open gamestate past the summon response window
This is the same ruling as the Kagemucha Knight one. You normal summon Tour Guide to activate its effect and in the TCG you immediately activate Kagemucha and you can chain block the Tour Guide. In the OCG though, you normal summon Tour Guide and then the priority immediately goes to the opponent so they can activate Ash, and only after you can activate the Kagemucha Knight.
It actually is an ocg moment because as a trigger effect it has to be activated before the opponent can respond in the tcg, it's not just a chainable spell speed 2 effect
@@user-hz5zn8yd1v It's not just trigger effects on monsters that special from hand, it applies to all hand trigger effects in general. Hand Trigger effects basically work like quick effects in the OCG, like Droll works in the TCG (it being a quick effect is actually redundant in the OCG).
Cards like Ghost Mourner & Moonlit Chill are way more useful in the OCG as a result, since you don't have to immediately chain to your opponent's summon, and instead can wait until later in the chain, and if your opponent summons on your turn, you can still chain in response to the on-summon effect of the opponent's monster, vs. the TCG, where you have to activate Ghost Mourner before your opponent activates the on-summon effect.

For future seasons, i think there should be some unbans/unlimits for the final episode like last season. Like each player gets 1 unban and 2 unlimits.

Suggestion: limit fest, 60 cards tournament. It’s been a blast when my friend and I play. It’s a lot like magic: commander format, and everyone ends up playing the 10 super power cards like dark hole and feather duster, but they only have one out of 60

Its not anything like a summon response window thing, I mean MBT literally passed prio on the effect before Dzeeff responded lol

Season 4 has been my favorite season of Saga. Love MBT and honestly I prefer him to Farfa here, although I completely understand Roulette is definitely more his wheelhouse.

Doug bringing Fabled to the finale was great. I hope the deck gets great support in the future so Doug can bring it to a YCS and win a YCS with it. That would truly be a fabled ending to this journey.

I sadly used Doublebyte dragon as I was obsessed with Cyberse cards when they were out. Used every single one of them.
I wish that next season they ban players from going into certain packs. I feel that every season someone gets the Tenyi Yang Zing pack and plays not much elese aside that deck until the end of the season.
There's a couple things I wanna see next Master Saga season. 1. More bans! Do it every 3 days so I dont have to wait 5 days for the most hype episode! (Also those episodes get more views).
2. More time spent looking at the different secret packs unlocked. Because I like to see their thought process.
