How to stop tire rub on 2023 WRX HD 1080p

How to shave the inner fender on a 2023 WRX VB to accept larger rims and tires. I went with Falken Azenis RT660 255/40/R18 on Konig Dekagram 18x9.5 +35mm offset for track tires. It looks like a 40mm offset is needed for these rims and tires, which is why I needed to sand and grind. I was able to remove at least half an inch of plastic and metal lip along the inside of the fender well. None of this work is visible, but I suggest removing the wheel-well sound-deadening before grinding because it will get chewed up a bit.
