    Did this fix the issue for everything? My coilovers too had stickers saying not to mess with preload as they were set from factory and lo and behold my mechanic said that the preloads were NOT set properly. The adjustable endlinks were set too long and were hitting the LCA’S which caused the clunking noise at full lock and driving at low speeds in parking lots. However as of late I’m now getting annoying squeaking noises… (mainly front front passenger side)any thoughts where/what the sound might be coming from ?

      @E-Dog707 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi. Yes my issues are all resolved. Most importantly, get the Fapo 12mm stud adjustable end links. install them one at a time, but with the car lifted. I had to put one of the stock struts and non adjustable end links back on the car to find the stock location of the sway bar. With one side back to stock, I was able to install the new coilover on the other side, and adjust the new end link to the sway bar's stock location. The problem many folks have is allowing the sway bar to change position from stock, and setting the end links too long. When this happens, you may get contact on the LCA. also make sure the end link studs are installed pointing in the right direction. It's easy to be 180 degrees off. Once one side is set, proceed to the other side. Other noises: readjusting preload of springs will help. Squeaking may be from the springs shifting, or the top hat of the coilover rubbing on the chassis, or the cheap endlinks they give us already failed- I had a blown seal on one of the links they provided and the joint section of the end link was exposed. I had my car back on the lift 4 or 5 times before I finally dialed these in. It was frustrating, but after the Fapo end-link install it seems all noise issues went away. Feel free to send pics or video, I'm happy to help if I can.

    i got a 2022 so i will have to trim mine as well? from apr?

    • @E-Dog707
      @E-Dog707 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there. I'm by no means an expert, but it seems like I had to trim to gain access to the plastic fasteners. If left untrimmed, there was no way for me to pop them in place and secure the lower portion of the bumper. The way I did it allowed me to fasten the splitter to the bumper first. I did go to the hardware store and bought a few shorter bolts and more washers and nuts. There are some spots where having the short bolts installed will allow the bumper assembly to fall back into place without hanging up. It can be frustrating, have a buddy there to help if possible. Trimming the splitter was pretty easy with a jig saw. Be sure to tape it up for scratch protection. Line it up along the bottom, I put the furthest back left and right tails of the splitter to the edge of the lower fender. It ends up with about 1" of exposed splitter on both sides. Mark it with Sharpie to allow access to the plastic fasteners. I also added some bracing to the inside of the splitter with all-thread bolted to the side frames by the battery and the intake. If you shine a light down, you will see a pathway to do this on both sides. I used little "L" brackets for this- easy to mount and align.

    • @E-Dog707

      yes a Studie 289. It originally had a three on the tree. When Thalo got the car it had a chevy motor and trans. We put in the 289/ auto trans combo from a 54'. The driveshaft was made custom to fit. This was a Frankenstein-build for certain!

    • @E-Dog707
      @E-Dog707 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately the original engine and transmission were long gone when I got ahold of it. I chose a crate GM350 for simplicity and cost effectiveness. The A/C was a mess, and I wanted as much room in the engine bay as possible so I put the delete plate in it's place. I still have it in storage. I'm looking at adding HP to it now, so stroking it out is not off the table.

    • @E-Dog707
      @E-Dog707 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The line is much different in an AWD compared to these 500+ RWD Shelby guys. A lot of what you see is track seeking, or finding my own line. If I were that horrible of a driver it would be me getting passed left and right, falling off the track...not the other way around. I follow the line all day in traffic, if I wanted to do more of that I wouldn't come to the track. Admittingly though I am pretty new to track motorsports, I'm learning my place, and I did make many mistakes that day! But, hopefully NO next time you see the Sube it will not be on a wrecker.BOOO! Lol! All in fun.
