Thanx for video that happened to me with My 124019 just lubed up all diffs and fixed tow and had her straight as an arrow. And darted her at an angle into curb. So I feel your pain. This was her Voyage run. Hey also is there a link to LC Racing parts for hubs. Mine will take forever to get here also. Thanx in advance
I think I'm going to put my ESC in front of the battery, put the receiver in the spot of the stock one, and maybe replace the stock servo. What's the best brushless motor kit for the 144001?
Hi buddy I've found that receiver not at fault, I had purchased a new one but still experiencing jitter on servo, however I changed channel on radio and found that servo/receiver all ok. So I believe that some of channels on transmitter are at fault, hope that helps
Nice,Up Grade My Man.You put that set up in there just Sweet.I Love it....Going to leave my two stock for now until they come out with a Metal Spear gear lol. Yeh You will have to dial the throttle down for now.Should be pretty Quick,Nice....
Yes.You Should be OK with the Hub's.I saw on youtube that some one already sized them up and their the same.only the Diff's are different between the two model's so good luck.My man.Thank's for your good work on all your rig's.It's always a pleasure to watch your Video's.
@@supastihl89 I Just saw a review on youtube some one had both car's and striped them down to see if you could change the part's with each other.the only thing's what was not compatible were the diff's and the motor mounting's because of the brushless set in the other model. so you can but try..lol.You should be ok my friend.
the stock piniion is zinc alloy. not steel. (from what ive read).. and yeah the spur is 100% the weak point. literally 5 minutes into my first run on brushless i completely stripped my spur gear. an dthey JUST started selling steel spur gears so ive just had a broke 144001 sitting on my desk for like 2 months. lol. very irritating. why'd you go with the 540 size brushless? i stayed with the 550 size can. 3660. im sure itll still have way more power than the stock brushless though. even with a smaller can size. the stock size of the servo is a 17G. any 17g will fit. i still found it to be slightly underpowered. the stock servo in these things were suprisingly great!
Yea i wish the stock servo was a 3 wire fr. (About spur)Yea i figured havent gotten to run it yet. The reason I went 540 can is it left more room around servo area for "activities". Second the motor is lighter with less torque than the exact same kv with the 3660 can/550, but will run the same rpms. This car is tiny and overpowered so i was aiming to keep it controllable and maybe get a full video or 2 out of that stock spur. Thanks man. 🤟
@@supastihl89 oh ok. yeah that makes perfect sense. i went with the 550 because i wanted the high torque of a bigger motor. i wanted to be able to wheelie. plus with my 959 when i upgraded to brushless it seemed like the torque was WAY weaker than the stock brushed motor. it was exponentially faster top end, but the low end was terrible. and at the time i was under the impression i could just go online and buy a new steel spur so i didnt care if i wrecked the stock one. lol. boy was i mistaken. it took probably 2 months of searching every single day for a replacement before they actually released one.
Did you have any issues getting the screws out of the motor mount? I dig the build I'm doing the same to mine with the metal upgrade stuff. Just waiting to get a day off work now.
@@joshherrman3201 no just that one. I had a great fitting bit on my screwdriver. That grub is small and stripped when i reinstalled it sadly. But its on there lol
So I got a lc racing motor mount on the way. It's adjustable so you can actually set the mesh. Only thing I'm worried about is trying to get all this stuff under that tiny body shell.
I put a titan 12 turn brushed motor in mine. No other changes. Speed went from 31 mph to 40mph. I use a 3000 mah 2s I got off of eBay. It will fly and lasts a long time.
That GoolRC motor is pretty good but I don't like their ESC's. They stutter in the low RPM's. Not very nice smooth power. I would only use the motor and use another ESC.
I did mention in my video that 1 of the inner knuckles where the outer hub connects has a very thin plate for the connecting rod for the steering linkage I think it adjusts the camber it is very very weak I had to order a different set from RC awd on aliexpress.com
Can you tell me what 27T Pinion 5mm you use. I ordered a 27mm pinion gear from Traxxas but diameter its to big. Its 24mm and the WLToys pinion has 20mm diameter. Thx in advance.
Do Not Hook that ESC up to another Servo dude there's something wrong with that thing. I love the Wonder bread ties. The dollar store has glue gun sticks. Sometimes I'll have a glue gun they're two for a buck I have one that works great I've been using it for over a year. But you can get a glue gun at Walmart for like two or three dollars. It works awesome for holding your wires where you want them to be. Burning up three servos. As long as they work before you put them into that truck I would definitely say. That ESC is burning them up. My son's wlp truck runs on a 1060 brushed hobbywing clone ESC. And runs the upgraded servo that wlp gives you with the kit truck. And that's 60 amp 2 even though it's brushed. And that has the same parameters for a Servo it's like three and a half volts to 5 volts. So considering the receiver dozen run power it just directs it. It's one of the two. put the ESC in a different truck and try it see if it fries another servo and if it doesn't I would suspect that the receiver is giving too much power to the servo. that's when the battery testers for like a dollar fifty come in handy. You can put an extension wire in there on the servo and see how much power is coming through. Rock on brother. That's why they sent me those plastic spacers. On the LC hubs and Knuckles I bought. Better off with a bigger bearing anyways you can buy the bearings online real cheap. The ones that go into the LC. But just make sure that the drive shaft is the same size when you order them that's when getting a micrometer comes into real Handy
I can link the tires if you like. However the wheels i ended up getting a refund for and not using them bc they did not seat the bead properly on the inside, bad design.
I’ve upgraded the hubs on mine too
Fronts and rear same hubs ?

Depends on budget
The fly sky receivers are at fault, not servos. I've had two of the FS go bad with same problem
Ok ill check it out

nice video again, are the hubs the same for the front and the rear ?
I believe so. But have had my hands on it in over a month
Do you have to up grad the servo when upgrading to brushless ?
If you use a different ecu you must. If you get brushed motor you can keep old system
