Invested in Ford, GM, and Harley Davidson. Ford and GM stopped paying dividends and Harley Davidson reduced their dividend payout not all the businesses that I have money in but nevertheless a cautionary tale.

I sell cash secured puts, POSSIBLY get assigned, then sell covered calls. It's a pretty good income stream while my assets appreciate. Howeever, ever since October, the market has been on FIRE. Most of my covered calls end up in the money.
When you are old like 60 or 70s, you will not be able to work anymore so when you are young, do your best to get passive income and increase your assets. Think as hard as you can to make it happen.

Dividend stock investing in my opinion is the best and easiest way to generate passive income

Yes that's right. I think the best approach is to invest with an expert, at least it saves the relief of too much losses

Does the stock you invest in have to give a dividend for you to call it passive income?
For non dividend stock it is still "passive" because it is compounding by some percentage each year, it will just not be realized until you sell it.
