Funny enough we took this exact route when we came back from Japan last month. Check in experience was the same. We waited over 45mins to get checked in which it's surprising because it's actual Japan Airlines staff not any of the BA contractors. Funny enough we were on 55K on the return trip so only one row in front of you. You were even lucky to get XWBA which did the test flights to Madrid in 2019 but we weren't too far off. We took XWBD back from Japan.
