I don’t see why you would want to limit creativity. Tiktok and algorithm based social media is already becoming more and more effective at promo than traditional approaches by labels, it won’t have any issue filtering out good and bad songs made by the masses. I think something people should also consider when it comes to anything made with AI is the execution. How something is made, written, and most especially in this case... what part of the AI has a reasonable contribution to your experiences, creative choices, etc. This can vary from person to person, but I think one of the core thing about an art piece's worth is how something was even executed in the first place. Execution is one of the main things that brings your final piece together. And while AI itself has no actual thought or meaning as to why something is formed together (since the results themselves are literally based on hours upon hours of existing works), there's still potential for a human to see the distorted nature of an AI result and find ways to expand upon it with their own talents and ideas. Turning that nothing-burger of what the AI shat out into something grander with actual substance and meaning. Basically like those AI Pokemon redraws if you think about it. This not only can apply to music, but all forms of art. It shouldn't be about the fact that AI was used to make something, but more about HOW the AI was used to bring something together. And how much or how little of it was used in the final human-made piece. No matter how better the tech gets, and regardless of what effect it has on the industry, I still think this tech is at it's best when it's only being used as a tool and assistant, not a full-on for replacement for human talent.
AI can only learn from things that already exist. If AI took over there would be no new genres and eventually people would get tired of hearing the same things regurgitated and turned into something new but not unique.
AI does learn from things that already exist so they would actually learn music evolution, under the right parameters, can replicate anything and anyone. Jobs and things taken for granted will be gone and all for convenience? Just imagine Michael Jackson continuing to make music knowing he’s been deceased… now imagine P¡nk continuing to make music… either the artist will truly never have to work ever, or they get replaced and never get to work ever again… either way it’s end game for humanity
No one should be able to use a Artists voice without their consent whatsoever without them receiving whatever percentage the artist will allow. It’s pure BS and it’s not coming from the artist. The artist should always be able to decide on what he does or doesn’t want to say in his music. It’s like fake news. It can always turn the worst for a artist when the writer creates heat speech in the music with the lyrics. Hate speech can destroy a Artists Reputation when they did not even write those lyrics. What people believe it’s them because of the voice. It’s nonsense when the AI is used by evil people with a evil agenda. This will lead to mass incarceration for artists when fans create and make up fake stories and use it but the AI voice to lock up these artist for life.
What makes music interesting is the fact that through it one consciousness - the creator - is trying to communicate with another consciousness - the listener. If you remove consciousness from either side, it stops being interesting, as nothing is communicated or understood which erases pretty much all meaning from the process. I would rather listen to a bad song made by a conscious human, than catchy song made by an unconscious AI - even if it's just to laugh at the lack of talent. I think mundane music, like Drake songs, which are already heavily influenced by market analysis and calculations, are completely replacable by AI. But original music, that's trying to tell us something we haven't thought of before, will remain as sought after as ever - maybe even more.
I agree with your hopefulness of the situation however i have to respectfully disagree Ai such as ChatGPT are already creating More complex forms of Writing such as 300 word movie review for obscure movies such as "Kids" and making interesting stories about various topics that can keep an average person interested even if it isn't the intellectually thought provoking thing if we are already have technology to do that then think about what will happen in a decade from now, if trained good enough you could probably have a an AI Hip Hop writer that composes works that can comprehend and discuss complex topics and lets be honest, the average music listener most likely doesn't care about the artist about feelings and emotions they put into that song, they care about more how that song relates to them individually AI Music WILL be big and with enough time could potentially write a song on the level of rappers like Joey Bada$$ and Denzel Curry. Shit is Scary fam
@@ESTADU Yeah many people on twitter in response to the ai drake song already said they don't care if it's ai or not. They want catchy songs but they don't actually care about the artist or the sentiment behind it. So i can't disagree with your view unfortunately.
If use of AI became mainstream there’d still be a nieche for man made. Even if it “died” overtime the interest would resurge everything works in a cycle like that
You know what A.I. being used in the field of music makes me think of? The saying, "Careful what you wish for." - And also at this moment in time, it makes me think about the meaning of the word Karma as well! Here's what I mean,... Remember in the early days of hip-hop, and sampling, whenever the artists such as James Brown, George Clinton, Rick James, etc. would complain about someone sampling their records, and them not being compensated properly, so many of the hip hop artists would simply say, "Hey, this is a new art form. We're not taking your music, where simply breathing new life into it, and providing a new, fresh arrangement of it, and sampling is not here to replace the actual musicians, etc." Well, look who feels threatened now! Because after all, the A.I is not here to take their music, it's only here to breathe new life into it, and to provide new, fresh arrangements. It's not here to replace the artists. Sound Familiar?😢 Hmm?
Just wait till the big record labels figure out how to synthesize a new/original voice (very good speech synthesizers already exist), teach it how to sing/rap on various genres of music and start pumping out content. They won’t have to share revenue, worry about the artist behaving in a way they don’t like and just keep tweaking it to produce content. The music artiste will become a product. We’re in perilous times!
I would say that the big difference between chess and any artform is that it is a competition. You watch chess or play it to compete with (most of the time) other humans. In the case of any artform that's different. You want to experience art/music because of the feeling or thoughts it gives you. So it is more like a product than a competition. I'd say that we naturally care more for humans competing than technology or animals, because they resemble us. When it comes to a finished product, we don't really care where it comes from, as long as it is good.
Artists should be able to upload their voice to their PROs and have it copyrighted. From there, your voice and its unique waveforms should then be detectable in all instances, sellable as an instrument/tool on any DAW, and earning 50% royalties on any AI-generated song that gets uploaded anywhere. Not simple, but doable
copyrighting your voice could end up into "if this person talks you'll get copyrighted". It might sound dramatic but it wouldn't be weird to me if that ever happens. You aren't adding copyright to a song, you are doing that with your VOICE. It's different
Yeah that won't work because there only so many vocal tones people have. There people that sound near identical to everyone, it becomes very apparent if you produce stuff online because you get lots of "you sound like this person" comments
Seeing this, seems to me that AIs make life easier. But for art, just takes the actual life out of it. and what's disturbing is what humans are capable of with this kind of technology. On another note, music videos could be made much more easier and can help visualize/materialize any type of idea. Let's say I'm going to use Bluewillow AI, to create a whole scene of an artist in an atlantean world.
Honestly, if the original artists were compisated the same and got credit it would be the same as music samples but samples are already an argued point.
I was part of a songwriting contest and a very popular and respected company zoomed called me and even though i didn't win but others thought I should have I still was happy to give my feedback. They wanted to know how this contest could have been better. And I still vividly remembered was I said to them. I said what can kick this up to a higher level is have a famous celebrity host the contest and have their prerecorded vocals available to the contestants producers and they put those stems in their beats. To me I got the vibe that they felt that is a great idea but very expensive and which artist would take the risk. But all and all I thought that could have been unprecedented and awesome. I suggested someone like lil Wayne or Nikki Minaj. Man, that would have been great.
I get the comparison to sampling, but the thing with AI is that it simplifies the process só much that it barely requires knowledge, talent or skill. Our human evolution seems to be all about removing inconvenience and improving efficiency. But if you think about the personal highlights of your life, I bet they occurred after a period of commitment, sacrifice or even pain. The contrast between the (ugly/messy) process and the (beautiful/joyful) result is what MAKES the result (feel) so gratifying… I wonder; if we as humans remove all the inconveniences, how can we still admire and be grateful? We will grow accustomed to the highs and experience it as common… Great video :)))
Less than halfway through this video my mind came up with numerous scenarios that AI could accomplish by inputting current and past data to forecast future results. Artist music and copyright is a drop in the bucket and not concern-able in comparison. If a human mind can do that, then for me it’s a testament to the endless possibilities of AI above and beyond human capabilities. I won’t list them all here as I’m not going to act as the AI myself and give over TH-cam channel ideas or content ideas on the topic of AI. Human greed is a powerful thing, at times detriment to its subject.
What I hate about this segment of the music industry is that you can't rap like Drake but about different subject matters. Like nobody would be ok with that. I find drake's style and flow so captivating but his subject matters so shallow and personally unrelatable. I honestly don't mind AI flipping that taboo and allowing us to hear our favorite styles getting diversified. The music industry is oppressively conservative and I honestly believe they have brought this onto themselves.
Artist are not at risk of losing their job..they will be at risk for losing their lives. The music industry been using AI for years..they are just mad that we now have this access because it will make start to reevaluate everything we hear.. this might make us uncover which artist are no longer around and how their teams are pretending they are through AI..
Honestly as someone who is embracing A.I., I think it is going to take awhile to get use to. For example, with A.I. I use my own voice on a trained a.i. voice model to sing along to the original song and I use a karaoke track to line up with my vocals if that's iffy. As a retired content creator in the early 2010's, I struggled with songwriting however I use Chatgpt to write a song for me and I go through parts that I alter.
I think ai can be really destructive just look at the art market right now i think its going to be the same for the song market people can create ai music now and they can just use their own voice to train the ai
Yes , it is what it is like when they used AutoTune for every pop star and have it on all billboard Top Songs to get famous. The Doomsday point you missed out was it not the Process that makes the Artist . It is their Image and Performance that makes the artist . Everyone can sing and create songs but an Artist do make the experience on the songs they create.
@@mintrommovies I think AI will allow producers to be the best versions of themselves when it comes to music theory and song building, but I feel that this presents the opportunity for producers sound selection, ear, taste, etc. to really shine through AI knowledge + Human taste = new wave of hip-hop?
Honestly bands who played real instruments back in the day were way more talented so...I think those people were right. We don't have musical geniuses like the old classic artists anymore. Seems like the talent level in the music industry has been going downhill as time goes on. I do think that has a lot to do with technology.
As shown... we as the listeners wouldn't know the difference of lyrics being written by the artist or written by AI... In the past there was talk of artists using ghost writers... now the same artist can just get lyrics from an AI and either add to it or change the lyrics... Instead of trying to separate the two, the artist can, with the help of AI, produce more bangers...
And honestly.... who cares? If the entertainment is good, does it matter if it was created by a person or a machine? I'm hear to be entertained. I'm not hear to feel obligated to give some human a paycheck.... unless of course their creation is worthy.

The problem with us humans is that Ai songs should only really be made because they’re fun. But eventually someone will try to see a way of making money off of it, which will then make it a real issue. Though I think it will be really hard for Ai Songs to exist on a profit level because there are laws keeping you from using a celebrity’s likenesses without their permission. Just how you can’t use AI face swap in a movie without the celebrities permission and I believe that this will also count for AI songs.
Yo, Genres are just forms and structures. Of course it can create new “Genres”. We can do that anytime. People are just greedy and are sucking the money out of the spirit of music, the consumers become the new artists and are just copying what was made because it made them feel something. It can be an aiding tool to infinite possibility, something we are clearly able to do. It should be a tool to remind us of our original potential, but how will collective choose to see it ? How have they chose to see most things ? It can all be so peaceful and that’s up to us
I'm actually excited to see all new music regardless and want to try keep up with the times and learn the process of creating ai music but I'm sure over time there will be more advanced music tools for creating ai songs
Not a fan of the possibilities of AI. Sci-Fi has taught me for decades that AI will wipe out humanity. So… As for the music? I have no desire to hear it. I prefer Art from humans. I couldn’t imagine wanting to listening to AI or not monetarily supporting artists.
There are some positive possibilities. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s an AI rather than a human that cures cancer and solves all the problems preventing us from having sustainable fusion energy.
I think for like 6 years or something big labels have been generating songs and filtering them to spam till something hits and then remove the failures from existence (including the artists)
An artist from Hybe Labels (the label where kpop group BTS is from) already used AI to correct his pronunciation in one of his song (Masquerade) as he sang in 6 languages and he isn't fluent in some of them. Interesting use of AI imo
I honestly don't think AI can ever take over. Part of why we like artists is their abilities as a human. I actually enjoyed some AI songs and many are quite impressive. But its still not the same, knowing the artist did not actually do anything and it was just generated.
I also see other dynamics here at play. Maybe not so much for the artist but through the music industry promotion and various schemes we are programed to associate the artist voice tied to the highly acclaimed music industry and we get used to assisting it all with greatness we don't open up to too much new things or new comers. So it's not magic or blessings from the gods. It's a process. A feeling is powerful. And maybe the world is big enough for everyone. With rules and boundaries it might work. Maybe sharing is about to happen a little more. But there is no room for abuse.
It’s just something about the AI voice that’s a little off but once they perfect the voice you won’t be able to tell the difference and the sound quality of the AI is off
Only if it's not harnessed and controlled in the right manner. The only issue is, we have governments around the world that see $$$ and not the greater good for humanity. Just look at the last 3 years, every treatment was slandered until after everyone took their shots, then suddenly all those treatments became viable options.
@@TaxEvasi0n you already know companies are gonna maximize their use of AI at the expense of their workforces. Once AI gets smart enough, lots of people could lose jobs
I think "Heart on my sleeve" is the exception because it sounds like it was actually written by a person, just voiced by Drake. The songs are only good when there is a good lyric baseline reference. I haven't seen a good verse written from Chat GPT thus far and I tested out writing lyrics for different artists. They are all pretty corny, and the lyrics don't make a lot of sense honestly. AI still hasn't been able to capture the real nuances of lyricism and putting good punchlines together. However, it might be a good tool for an up-and-coming artist who is just getting started and needs help with the songwriting process.
but the dude isn't playing the original songs... all the songs were pitched up or down slightly so the ai one sounds correct because it is the right key.....
Thing is this AI is basically going to open another avenue for artists and labels to license likeness of an artist I mean they already licensed cover music so now with the AI they can license the voice of an artist and they can actually produce an experiment with far more content you know and another thing is look up an artist like DOC rapper who lost his voice now with AI he could technically come right back and write new songs to utilize with his old voice that he lost AI will basically open a door for even artists that have passed away cuz now for example let's say Freddie Mercury Michael Jackson you know that you could Tupac biggie you could samp feed the AI their voice and get some people close to them to help create the lyrics and so on and bam you got a whole new album This will be more of a positive than a negative because that also means that artists can just write lyrics if they're sick or ill they just feed the lyrics to an AI and it will record in their own voice it will basically speed up artist ability to make music For example you look at a Lil Wayne his run back in the early 2000s when he was dropping a mixtape every week with AI Lil Wayne feeds his voice in there enough he can now basically record an infinite amount of music and experiment with genres or whatever he's too worried about because now with the AI he could record experimental music without worrying about the time needed to invest in that
That song es planted , if a regular person do that , will never get those views , the same system plant AI using 2 of the best artist to promote the thing .
I'm glad because Drake has been on his high horse from streams. Its time this teaches him a lesson. He flaunts all the money he has. RIP Drakes career. He was a great artist but now he doesn't try anymore so this will be his downfall. Everyone loves A.I Drake more than Drake. Here's the question. Would you rather have an AI Drake concert or a Drake concert?
Tbh this isn’t the end for him regardless of how many people clown him for his recent albums. He’s already made it to the top along time ago yet he still spits about how he’s still in the trenches. At the end of the day drake’s career isn’t over but this whole AI thing will just motivate him to push out better quality of music as he realises how easy it is for his voice to be replicated over a simple beat
If this really expand I blame the lack of emotion on this actuals songa, often called "background music" because music is just something more nowadays, isnt a priority, something to listen carefully, to connect with. And artists are getting lazy, of course, just making the same structure of an empty song to viralize on tik tok meaningless.
Idk but live music is something that can’t be replicated and there’s certainly enough real music lovers to help support real artists and using AI to make music with real artists is worse than the ghost writer help so I doubt it will be done as much as we fear
what people dont understand is that all AI is not based on previously trained information. Most gaming AI's operate under a set of rules or heuristics. If they come up with a good gamified system an AI can certainly generate things nobody has seen or thought of. People need to be focusing on how to intertwine their development process with AI. Not be afraid of it.
Lolol nobody cared when AI touched small artists in inappropriate places but when u start interfering with a big corpo that owns billion dollar artists...suddenly there is a problem.
Honestly, this ai thing is just a fad and is fun to use. I seriously don't think this is going to hurt anyone. Only people using these ai things are just having their favorite artist sing a cover and most of the covers are shit so I seriously don't think people are going to really get hurt by this

AI can only learn from things that already exist. If AI took over there would be no new genres and eventually people would get tired of hearing the same things regurgitated and turned into something new but not unique.
It’s about key strokes, “already exists “? Do you understand the stage of it? 2023 years? 2070? You really think it can’t create anything new ?
AI does learn from things that already exist so they would actually learn music evolution, under the right parameters, can replicate anything and anyone. Jobs and things taken for granted will be gone and all for convenience? Just imagine Michael Jackson continuing to make music knowing he’s been deceased… now imagine P¡nk continuing to make music… either the artist will truly never have to work ever, or they get replaced and never get to work ever again… either way it’s end game for humanity
Not in the near future. AI is the future.
You keep assuming what this stuff can’t do and that’s yr mistake
@@kid_rajah no ai can replicate mj, even if its literally the same, the enrgy wouldn't be there
No one should be able to use a Artists voice without their consent whatsoever without them receiving whatever percentage the artist will allow.
I agree with your hopefulness of the situation however i have to respectfully disagree Ai such as ChatGPT are already creating More complex forms of Writing such as 300 word movie review for obscure movies such as "Kids" and making interesting stories about various topics that can keep an average person interested even if it isn't the intellectually thought provoking thing if we are already have technology to do that then think about what will happen in a decade from now, if trained good enough you could probably have a an AI Hip Hop writer that composes works that can comprehend and discuss complex topics and lets be honest, the average music listener most likely doesn't care about the artist about feelings and emotions they put into that song, they care about more how that song relates to them individually
AI Music WILL be big and with enough time could potentially write a song on the level of rappers like Joey Bada$$ and Denzel Curry.
Shit is Scary fam
@@ESTADU Yeah many people on twitter in response to the ai drake song already said they don't care if it's ai or not. They want catchy songs but they don't actually care about the artist or the sentiment behind it. So i can't disagree with your view unfortunately.

Great video. It's a really crazy world we are living in right now. AI is changing the landscape of everything right now.
You ll probably be dead in next 80 years so not worth caring right?
Dude said in a comment he used to ghostwrite for big artists and was tired of not getting his recognition
That's getting into some sticky situation, copyright wave forms is crazy
copyrighting your voice could end up into "if this person talks you'll get copyrighted". It might sound dramatic but it wouldn't be weird to me if that ever happens.
You aren't adding copyright to a song, you are doing that with your VOICE. It's different
LAme!
Yeah that won't work because there only so many vocal tones people have. There people that sound near identical to everyone, it becomes very apparent if you produce stuff online because you get lots of "you sound like this person" comments
That’s not gonna work. Lol

Neither a pole shift
Just a note here. Google collab is a text editor. You still need to write the program with all the ai algorithms or use a paid app.

Make a video on Beau Is Afraid, it just came out in theaters and is begging for analysis
Oooh good idea
Less than halfway through this video my mind came up with numerous scenarios that AI could accomplish by inputting current and past data to forecast future results. Artist music and copyright is a drop in the bucket and not concern-able in comparison. If a human mind can do that, then for me it’s a testament to the endless possibilities of AI above and beyond human capabilities.
I won’t list them all here as I’m not going to act as the AI myself and give over TH-cam channel ideas or content ideas on the topic of AI. Human greed is a powerful thing, at times detriment to its subject.
12:50 i don't think sampling and Ai are same because Ai unlike sampling because artists don't get paid for Ai deepfakes.
They ought to get paid for it since it's basically them being sampled in a whole different way.
Great point.
Artists gonna have to copyright their voices now 🤣

What do you mean "better received by fans than search & rescue"? Any stats to prove?

Honestly as someone who is embracing A.I., I think it is going to take awhile to get use to. For example, with A.I. I use my own voice on a trained a.i. voice model to sing along to the original song and I use a karaoke track to line up with my vocals if that's iffy. As a retired content creator in the early 2010's, I struggled with songwriting however I use Chatgpt to write a song for me and I go through parts that I alter.
9:10 both because Drake never writes his lyrics lol
I think ai can be really destructive just look at the art market right now i think its going to be the same for the song market people can create ai music now and they can just use their own voice to train the ai

Yes , it is what it is like when they used AutoTune for every pop star and have it on all billboard Top Songs to get famous. The Doomsday point you missed out was it not the Process that makes the Artist . It is their Image and Performance that makes the artist . Everyone can sing and create songs but an Artist do make the experience on the songs they create.

Honestly bands who played real instruments back in the day were way more talented so...I think those people were right. We don't have musical geniuses like the old classic artists anymore. Seems like the talent level in the music industry has been going downhill as time goes on. I do think that has a lot to do with technology.

excellent video
That thumbnail really tripped me out. I was thinking "shit did the weeknd turn himself into drake or did drake turn himself into the weeknd?"
As shown... we as the listeners wouldn't know the difference of lyrics being written by the artist or written by AI...

Damn I’m bout to finally make it in the rap game with this AI
It can all be so peaceful and that’s up to us
Good video
Asking people on the street was a nice touch.
I'm actually excited to see all new music regardless and want to try keep up with the times and learn the process of creating ai music but I'm sure over time there will be more advanced music tools for creating ai songs
We do the same thing this ai does. We hear a collect music mentally and learn and figure out how to do similar work or use bars unintentionally.
Not a fan of the possibilities of AI. Sci-Fi has taught me for decades that AI will wipe out humanity. So…
As for the music? I have no desire to hear it. I prefer Art from humans. I couldn’t imagine wanting to listening to AI or not monetarily supporting artists.
There are some positive possibilities. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s an AI rather than a human that cures cancer and solves all the problems preventing us from having sustainable fusion energy.
I feel like Ai generated songs are a message to artists to TRY HARDER

I think for like 6 years or something big labels have been generating songs and filtering them to spam till something hits and then remove the failures from existence (including the artists)
An artist from Hybe Labels (the label where kpop group BTS is from) already used AI to correct his pronunciation in one of his song (Masquerade) as he sang in 6 languages and he isn't fluent in some of them. Interesting use of AI imo
The thumbnail if Abel and Aubrey made a baby
It’s just something about the AI voice that’s a little off but once they perfect the voice you won’t be able to tell the difference and the sound quality of the AI is off
AI is gonna ruin the world
Only if it's not harnessed and controlled in the right manner. The only issue is, we have governments around the world that see $$$ and not the greater good for humanity. Just look at the last 3 years, every treatment was slandered until after everyone took their shots, then suddenly all those treatments became viable options.

I LOVE You're Videos
but the dude isn't playing the original songs... all the songs were pitched up or down slightly so the ai one sounds correct because it is the right key.....
Thing is this AI is basically going to open another avenue for artists and labels to license likeness of an artist
I mean they already licensed cover music so now with the AI they can license the voice of an artist and they can actually produce an experiment with far more content you know and another thing is look up an artist like DOC rapper who lost his voice now with AI he could technically come right back and write new songs to utilize with his old voice that he lost
AI will basically open a door for even artists that have passed away cuz now for example let's say Freddie Mercury Michael Jackson you know that you could Tupac biggie you could samp feed the AI their voice and get some people close to them to help create the lyrics and so on and bam you got a whole new album
This will be more of a positive than a negative because that also means that artists can just write lyrics if they're sick or ill they just feed the lyrics to an AI and it will record in their own voice it will basically speed up artist ability to make music
For example you look at a Lil Wayne his run back in the early 2000s when he was dropping a mixtape every week with AI Lil Wayne feeds his voice in there enough he can now basically record an infinite amount of music and experiment with genres or whatever he's too worried about because now with the AI he could record experimental music without worrying about the time needed to invest in that
True 😂😂❤
That song es planted , if a regular person do that , will never get those views , the same system plant AI using 2 of the best artist to promote the thing .
Honestly, I’m excited maybe we’ll start getting good lyrics in rap songs again
@@yxrackman2397 Just wait what ghostwriter and many others have in store ahahaaamauahahuahuaha, its only the beginning

This will be crazy in this 3 or 4 years
If this really expand I blame the lack of emotion on this actuals songa, often called "background music" because music is just something more nowadays, isnt a priority, something to listen carefully, to connect with.
AI will never be creative because AI will never know what "a pinch of salt" is. It will never have the intuition it takes to know the nuances.
Lolol nobody cared when AI touched small artists in inappropriate places but when u start interfering with a big corpo that owns billion dollar artists...suddenly there is a problem.
How about a comment too?
Honestly, this ai thing is just a fad and is fun to use. I seriously don't think this is going to hurt anyone. Only people using these ai things are just having their favorite artist sing a cover and most of the covers are shit so I seriously don't think people are going to really get hurt by this
