Even before Lou, the band took a clip from a song by the Minutemen, an influential band from San Pedro, not far from Long Beach where Sublime was from. The Minutement were awesome, and Mike Watt, the bassist, went on to do collaborations with a ton of other musicians.
Scarlet Begonias, Smoke 2 joints, Mary, Saw Red (with Gwen), Its So Nice, Pool Shark (the acoustic version on Bradley Knolls and friends album) followed by the reprise, electric punk version)

Lily J I have been all over Cali from SD up to the Bay Area. I spent lots of years truck driving but have vacation there lots as well. Ive been to the Plaza as well. PHX definitely celebrates its Mex/chicano culture. LA is obviously alot bigger with a longer history so its not on the size of LA but between festivals and the lowrider community...its def in PHX.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but the dog at the beginning is Lou Dog, a credited member of the band.

Rivers of Babylon is low key the best song on the album. But there's not a bad track on any Sublime album.
