I think this is the best MS match of this year so far. Thank you and congratulations to Ginting and Momota. Both of you are amazing players!
In my opinion, the All England's final of this year was slightly more impressive, but amazing match nonetheless !
I feel that LD vs CL Malaysia Open 2019 was the best so far. That final has everything from great smashes, quality shots, fast pace, and all high quality shots and strategies.
Sports is really unpredictable. I thought ginting will win as he lead in the second and third but all credits goes to the Japanese fighter king Kento momota. I wonder how he will look in anime
Wow, for so many moments I thought Momota would lose, but his consistency is unreal. His net shots and returns are so consistent. He increased the pace in the 2nd game and it paid off.
Ginting and Momota, the New Generation Rivals!!! I am Japanese but I respect both players so much for their gameplay and sportsmanship.
Both players played very well.
Especially GINTING's play in first game was fantastic.
Momota wins because he is more durable, stable and stronger, the same in SF with Alenxen. ( I think skill of Ginting and Motota is almost same)

The way Ginting plays is one of the most beautiful in the world. I can't get enough of it. I keep watching his matches over and over without being boring. He's got an amazing talent, skill and all. I know he's being in the proses to get better and better. It's just about the time and he's on the way to become one of the best in the world.
This is the first time I see Momota celebrates a victory like that. This must be a meaningful victory to him.
That's a comeback victory. It's very meaning
Because for Momota, Ginting is an exceptional players that make his victory more valuable, not because of he has beaten twice in a month, but stealiny one point from Ginting must use a lil bit more technic, skill and strength.
Forget about Lin dan vs LCW.. This is the new era.. Momota vs Ginting. Every rallies are beautiful and tremendous... Looking forward for their next games... ☺

Kento Momota's sheer skills are the reason why he deserves his seat next to legends like lee chong we, lin dan, chen long. All of them have one style in common along with exceptional defensive skills; make a perfect rally with combination of shots, phase the game out, preserve stamina in each rally and save it for the last.
We have a new deception artist from Indonesia. Watching his backhand lobs was a treat and nostalgic. His style of badminton is risky and quick. Every lift is an opportunity for him to smash which he perfectly executes with his stamina. Along with improving his stamina, he has to learn the legendary ways like Kento Momota have mastered to win a championship or a major tournament, which I clearly see Ginting is deserving of winning in future, i am sure.
Congrats to both the players for producing a high level game, which is no less than an art. Just outstanding!
Some interesting patterns to read:
1) Momota hits straight forehand heavy smash most of time, and it gets easier and easier for GinTing to return it, since Momota’s heavy smashes usually go straight. I can only recall his beautiful cross court smashes back then when at Denmark open final last year against CTC. Somehow Momota nowadays only choose to hit straight heavy ones.
2) Momota almost never hits a backhand clear. Ginting and Shiyuqi back in super serious final clearly were trying to control Momota’s backhand, and almost 99% of time Momota choose to hit a backhand drop while Ginting and Shiyuqi wait at the front court to do a net shot. Recently Momota has made major effort preventing this from happening through hitting overhead forehand smashes/clear, but his reluctance to hit a backhand clear sometimes can be concerning.
Anyways, he got crazy defence, amazing net shots and nerves of steel in coming back. Hope to see another match between these two.
The greatest MS match I’ve ever watched this year. Ginting could become the toughest rival of Momota from now on. Momota’s resilience has opened our eyes and his fighting spirit made him excelled to be the best among the two.Thank you both for an awesome play, will save this video as a memento.

Based on my observation, Ginting's shots we're better and he is always the one who controls the rally. However in the long run Ginting can't sustain his type of badminton since it is like sprinting compared to Momota's phasing type badminton.
Again, with no bias. Usually points from Momota comes from his defense since Ginting for me in this game atleast dictates the flow of the game.
However, in this game we can clearly see how stamina affects your gameplay since at the latter part, shots of Ginting's does not go as supposed to Momota's

You are absolutely correct, Gingting's style is lighting fast, non stop. He needs to learn how to play a slow relaxed game, a la Momota, Lin Dan, LCW, etc. And win while playing slow. And then turn it up the heat only when he needs to.
it's normal for ginting to lose his stamina at game 3 since his playing style are more physically demanding.
I appreciate BWF finally using better camera angles to cover the game. Keep using these lower viewing angles that show player movement and shot difficulty much more effectively.
I was there in person today. Ginting deserved to win for sure. He just slipped at the last few points in the last game. Very unfortunate. But one thing is for sure - a new star has arrived.
Ginting is great but there is no 'if' here man, ur just denying momota strategies and effort, a loss is a loss, ginting must do it another time

Kento showed more emotion after winning this title then he has shown in his previous 10 tournament victories. He must have been disappointed in his showing at the Malaysian Open...Great MS final and 2 of the best young stars in the game currently!

WHAT A MATCH
Ginting shots were incredible including smashs and deceptions, net shots as well. But the thing is his stamina has been completely destroyed by the “3 games” king Momota (Momota always play the same tactic to players that that he consider to have stamina not as good as him by playing longer rallies and finish the opponent in the 3rd game and to players have good stamina like LCW he played agressively)

Dù thua sâu nhưng ko hề có sự ảnh hưởng tâm lý, vẫn thi đấu bền bỉ mọi thời điểm trong trận đấu. Đây là chìa khóa thành công của Momota
Ginting uses too much energy in the first game .Too many smashes as he always does .Spot on in his attack . Whereas momota conserves and play more defensive . Towards the middle of 2nd game ,ginting looses focus ,worn out .Last game he makes too many error as he is too tired. Momota hardly smashes .Conserves his energy. Players are being put through 6 tedious days of punishing matches . These 2 excellent players are still able to give us an exciting games to watch. Hats off to them .Bravo
that 2 consecutive net cords at 12-16 and 13-16 in the 2nd set could've easily been in ginting favour with 12-18.. turnout would be really different.. and momota even did one of it with snapped strings..

11: 16 second game and then 21: 19, 8 : 12 last game and then 21 : 13 won, unbelievable accuracy, pace, determination and everything.

Great stuff. Very well played by both. Ginting’s attack and smashing is just superb. However he made way too many errors in the 3rd game which ultimately lost him the match
KillerTacos he make errors because Momota is better on control shuttle in the end.Additionally,Momota is the best ever stamina so Ginting will get more and more difficult if the match is so long time.
@@quanganh9102 I don't think thats the only reason, you can clearly see that ginting was dead tired since 12-8...he can't even do a jump smash, and his movement looks slower compared to the first 2 game.

Genting has the formula to defeat Momota, but couldn't keep it till the end, may be due to lack of stamina. On the other hand, Momota was able to maintain his focus & consistency, that is the key to be the world no 1.

I can say two skills get win for Momota: 1/ beyond defense,i definitely think he is best ever about defense.2/Best netting i never seen before.

I watched almost every games of momota. Before, he was played in aggressively, with his 99℅ accuracy & his nerves of steel was/is beyond out of any world top gamers. But, now-a-days he only playing in defensively, strategically & try to playing in net as near as he can that he wasn’t good before...
Honestly, I think he plays like this for training purpose. He keeps his real game for big occasions.
Ginting play very well but this time is for Momota.
Wish you could have a standard length of 2 hours at all videos. If its 1 hour in the video-thumbnail we know its 2 sets only, and if its 1,35 hours, we know its a 3 sets match. And we then know in both cases who will win the 2.nd set after seen the first. Great match!
A standard length system sounds good, as in normalising the scale, however for matches shorter than 2 hours, there will be lots of just that blank screen with music stuff. The immediately earlier match was the MDF with video length 01:07:52 (match length 51'). Would this be 2-set or 3-set per your scale? No matter what length, it is good that these matches are available to watch. Until the standard length happens, we could just enjoy these, irrespective of the time length on thumbnails or the thumbnail photo itself.
@@FixItHere It all depends on how long the first set is. If its 25 minutes, then its most likely (almost every time) that it will be a 2 sets match if length is 1h and 07 minutes. Because it take some time before the 1.set starts, often about 10-15 minutes, and there is a break after 11 points and after a set is played. So pretty easy to estimate.
I enjoy it anyway, but my suggestion is stillpictures and some music after the match has ended and a standard video-length system.

I do believe that Ginting would be the next legend and dominate the badminton scenes in the future. The way he played is so amazing, can't get boring watching him play. Momota is consistent as usual, he's playing like 3x-year-old Lindan, it's boring but it works. I do hope Momota will be destroyed soon by ginting-kind-of-players, that's the type of badminton we want to watch, charming, skillfull but also powerful.

I think momota is good but when he get low in points he gets stress and doesn’t do sass well
Ginting lacks stamina and conditioning. He is superior in skills, but lost because of energy.
He seems very fit actually just his playing is way more demanding than most player. Once he learns when o slow down and when to play quick, he will be jut fine.
I reckon many other players would struggle more than ginting if they were playing at that intensity.
Ginting went very predictable on the third set. Both played really well.
GINTING controlled the entire 3sets, but MOMOTA finds out the strategy of Ginting and played accordingly.

Sempat optimis pd saat ginting memimpin 16-11 pd set 2 setelah set 1 menang mudah, yakin bhw ginting menang, tapi keadaan berkata lain. Kalah.....!! Tapi gpp masih banyak turnamen yg lain. Semoga bisa juara di salah satunya.
