What a fantastic match to close out the decade of man singles. From Lin Dan/Lee Chongwei era, to Chen Long/Lee Chongwei era, to Axelson/Chen Long transition, now Momota/Ginting. It was an amazing decade of classic rivals, and I’m sure there’s more to come in the next decade.
Momota's mental strength is on display once again!! When 5-12 down he didn't give up and notices ginting is getting tired and then there's the opportunity to win the game, just amaazing.
What a match ! Momota in control of rallies is unstoppable, he sucks anything he can from the opponant and just let him with no energy. If you can't break his control you are already behind and things are going worse everytime you shoot. On the other side, it feels like Ginting is pushing him more each time. I hope he will win the next meeting !! I missed Lin Dan / LCW decade, but i'm glad to see the begining of this rivalry with so much respect between the two players Congratz Momota !
@@dhanang its not a big injury, its commnon for a sport player to get blister and still can do the game without problem. The problem is ginting's style that drain his energy. Sometimes ginting can win 3rd game with other players but not for momota because his accuracy, precision, and quality shot that so stable in the entire game.
It's dejavu of Singapore Open 2019 finals. Kento was also behind there and rallied past Ginting and eventually won. Ginting's lacking in mental strength as most players do. This is where Japanese players excel. Kento's mentality is tough but his skills are undeniably superb too! His defense are one of the bests if not the best.
Now all we need is just Ginting's consistency and if we're lucky, we might have another Lin-Lee rivalry all over again. Maybe along with Chou and Yuqi when he's back to his prime later.
Until interval of 3rd game it was game of speed / attack and then changed to game of stamina / mental power / concentration and consistency ... One of the best matches of 2019, good reference as all can learn a lot from this game. Both played really well ... Once again Congrats Momota on winning the best tournament, and next year ..will be Momota - Ginting rivalry series ...

Kelemahan Ginting di stamina. Ini yg bikin dia ga konsisten. Pdahal kalo secara permainan, Ginting punya byk banget senjata. Dia salah satu pemain hampir sempurna, enak banget d tonton.

Ginting is a creative player with excellent skilled shots. The main issues for him to compete at world level now is his stamina. We can see he is struggling towards the end of the game. Competition takes few days and it could be tough for him.Because of his small size, he needs more energy to cover the court and fast foot work. It was almost a similar problem faced by LCW in his early career. LCW improved a lot of his game after he improved his stamina; that is why he rose to the peak quite late somewhere in 2009.
It's always interesting to watch the match between Momota and Ginting. Congratulation for Momota, his spirit even though lag behind 5-12 so marvellous. So close for Ginting to win this Final, but it seems like he has a problem injured with his feet. I believe Ginting will come stronger in 2020.
He has to do it soon. He's not that young any more and if he doesn't overcome his inconsistency, he is going to go down in history as an incredibly talented player who didn't achieve what he should have. Ginting perhaps has the edge in net play and certainly in deception, but Momota is mentally much stronger.
In the 2nd game, the issue of Ginting's power level gradually intensified. Typical of his usual style, Momota waited for his opponent to make errors and to give him good opportunities to score. Patience and mental strength are the keys.

Some interesting discussions on this thread about who is the more technically gifted of these two players. But surely the crucial point is that technical ability is only part of what makes a sports person good, and the sheer desire to win is at least as important. Take Ahsan and Setiawan as an example. They rarely run away with a game because their play is so much better than their opponents, but when it gets to 19-19, they're going to win 90% of the time. As is Momota in a rubber set. Ginting for whatever reason doesn't have that ruthlessness. Shame, because I support him and just love watching him play because you never know for sure where the shuttle is going to go. Gill is also right when she talks about his balance and his almost balletic quality. But if he doesn't toughen up mentally (and possibly physically), he's not going to win much in his career.
I had realized that this was a dejavu of the Singapore Open 2019. Ginting leads in almost all games then suddenly momota rallied in cluster of points then went on to win with a huge margin... I think Ginting is technically good but mentally and physically need to improve. That's what Indonesian badminton should focus on.

Amazing run from 5-12 onwards in the last set. Not sure how Momota managed to grasp the opportunity and play a very ankle breaking game that ultimately worn out Ginting.

I am sure 100% when they come to rubber game. It is the trap of Momoto to Ginting since he already that Ginting is draining his batery by the mid of third game. The point so amazed is Momota keep maintaining his strategy even when he is at 5-12.
Cùng một kịch bản khi Mo và Ginting gặp nhau ngoại trừ trận trước trận ck này (Momota kiệt sức sau trận gặp tay Đan mạch). Kịch bản là Ginting sẽ tấn công dồn dập để áp đảo Momota trong set 1 và thường thắng. Set 2 Mo sẽ tăng tốc 1 chút để win (thua là về lun). Lúc này Ginting vẫn tấn công nhưng tần suất và tốc độ smash sẽ giảm dần. Một phần Momota cũng bắt nhịp kịp và đỡ hầu hết các cú smash của Ginting. Sau set 2 là màng tra tấn thể lực kinh khủng của Momota đặc biệt là sau 11 điểm. Ginting lần này biết trước nên cố gắng ăn smash điên cuồng để lấy điểm nhiều nhất trước khi kết thúc giữa set (11-5) hòng làm Momota sụp đỗ. Nói thiệt chứ Lin, Long hay LCW ở tình huống này chắc ko qua khỏi. Nhưng đó cũng là lúc thần bài xuất chiêu điều cầu rồi chém cầu sả lưới làm Ginting chôn chân mấy quả. Ginting cũng ko vừa xuất chiêu cuối cùng là xin trọng tài nghỉ để bác sĩ kiểm tra chân (rất giống với giải Phúc châu 750 suýt nữa thắng) nhằm hít oxy thật nhiều đồng thời làm giảm hưng phấn của Momota. Nhưng lần này thần bài đã rất cảnh giác ko bị sơ hở. Để ý thấy khi kết thúc trận đấu Momota không hét cũng ko nằm sân ăn mừng dù WTF tiền thưởng cao nhất trong các giải thì đủ hiểu Momota nắm phần thắng chắc như thế nào. Mình ko có lời khuyên cho Ginting vì em nó cũng đã đến ngưỡng giới hạn của mình. Chỉ có 1 lời khuyên nho nhỏ cho Momota là cầm tiền thưởng về thì đưa cho mẹ cất liền chứ ko thấy có nhiều tiền thì ác mộng 2015 ập về thì lại khổ vì phải làm lại từ đầu có khi châm dứt sự nghiệp lun. Nói chứ Mo đánh kiểu này ngoại trừ cày nhiều giải liên tục hết pin hoặc chấn thương chứ bình thường thì khó ai có thể thắng Mo vào thời điểm hiện tại.
Có lẽ các tay vợt TQ mới có phần khắc được Momota: như Chenlong suýt thắng Momota, SHI Yu Qi thắng Momota Final năm ngoái, thắng đậm ở CK Surdiman Cup. Hiện chắc chỉ có SHI Yu Qi là cửa sáng nhất, mỗi tội bị chấn thương
@@84tknn cùng ko chắc bạn ơi. Shi tuy có hay nhưng những trận thắng của Shi đều trên đất tq nên rất có lợi thế tâm lý. Vả lại hình như tỉ lệ thắng của Mo vẫn hơn. Lối đánh của Shi rất tối không biến hóa, dễ bị bắt bài. Chen long thì 2 trận vừa rồi Ginting nó tát cho xanh mặt. Chỉ có Ginting là có cơ hội thắng Mo cao nhất vào lúc này. Nếu hỏi đối thủ nào Ginting cảm thấy bất lực nhất thì mình tin là Ginting sẽ trả lời đó là Momota. Cảm giác giống như đi thi biết trước đề bài mà giải không ra.

that's normal skill of pro player when not in under preasure ...Ginting was so tired because of doing powerful smashs in 3 sets. that's why Momota could play freely in his way and got the champion
Today Ginting use a cold compress behind his neck in Indonesia Master, to keep his stamina from draining like what Momota did and it give a good result for Ginting and could winning this tournament so well. If it contribute to maintenance stamina during a hard and exhasuting rubber game points it will give a chance for Ginting to winning rubber game against Momota soon.

You have to say Momota is in all respects a real champion. Ginting had a 6 point advantage and then almost due to his own faults, he gave them away. All Momota did was wait for you to make mistakes, to drain out of power, ... and almost effortless beat his opponent. It was patience, mental power and the will to win. Ginting is, I believe, the most spectacular player in this match. It is absolute excitement and joy to watch his attacks, and unbelievable returns of Momota's smash. Pity that as the end of the pandemic is not in sight, several months would go before the two great players will meet again.
im gonna make some notes for further research so ignore my comment ok 11:43 momota expects a straight push so he anticipates by standing closer to backhand side however still extremely fast footwork from momota to be able to smash that ginting caught off guard and easy net kill for momota 12:20 cant rly see clearly cuz of camera angle but ginting holds for a moment before pushing the ball, catching momota off guard. very similar to "la pausa" theory in football (see xavi, pedri for reference) 16:45 once again "la pausa" by ginting throws momota off

Some interesting discussions on this thread about who is the more technically gifted of these two players. But surely the crucial point is that technical ability is only part of what makes a sports person good, and the sheer desire to win is at least as important. Take Ahsan and Setiawan as an example. They rarely run away with a game because their play is so much better than their opponents, but when it gets to 19-19, they're going to win 90% of the time. As is Momota in a rubber set. Ginting for whatever reason doesn't have that ruthlessness. Shame, because I support him and just love watching him play because you never know for sure where the shuttle is going to go. Gill is also right when she talks about his balance and his almost balletic quality. But if he doesn't toughen up mentally (and possibly physically), he's not going to win much in his career.

I had realized that this was a dejavu of the Singapore Open 2019. Ginting leads in almost all games then suddenly momota rallied in cluster of points then went on to win with a huge margin... I think Ginting is technically good but mentally and physically need to improve. That's what Indonesian badminton should focus on.

Amazing run from 5-12 onwards in the last set. Not sure how Momota managed to grasp the opportunity and play a very ankle breaking game that ultimately worn out Ginting.

He smash when he thinks it's necessary. unlike ginting, despite his footwark was very good but it's not enough to beat momota, imo ginting too much smashing that's why he looks tired and makes a bunch of error.
I am sure 100% when they come to rubber game. It is the trap of Momoto to Ginting since he already that Ginting is draining his batery by the mid of third game. The point so amazed is Momota keep maintaining his strategy even when he is at 5-12.

Cùng một kịch bản khi Mo và Ginting gặp nhau ngoại trừ trận trước trận ck này (Momota kiệt sức sau trận gặp tay Đan mạch). Kịch bản là Ginting sẽ tấn công dồn dập để áp đảo Momota trong set 1 và thường thắng. Set 2 Mo sẽ tăng tốc 1 chút để win (thua là về lun). Lúc này Ginting vẫn tấn công nhưng tần suất và tốc độ smash sẽ giảm dần. Một phần Momota cũng bắt nhịp kịp và đỡ hầu hết các cú smash của Ginting. Sau set 2 là màng tra tấn thể lực kinh khủng của Momota đặc biệt là sau 11 điểm. Ginting lần này biết trước nên cố gắng ăn smash điên cuồng để lấy điểm nhiều nhất trước khi kết thúc giữa set (11-5) hòng làm Momota sụp đỗ. Nói thiệt chứ Lin, Long hay LCW ở tình huống này chắc ko qua khỏi. Nhưng đó cũng là lúc thần bài xuất chiêu điều cầu rồi chém cầu sả lưới làm Ginting chôn chân mấy quả. Ginting cũng ko vừa xuất chiêu cuối cùng là xin trọng tài nghỉ để bác sĩ kiểm tra chân (rất giống với giải Phúc châu 750 suýt nữa thắng) nhằm hít oxy thật nhiều đồng thời làm giảm hưng phấn của Momota. Nhưng lần này thần bài đã rất cảnh giác ko bị sơ hở. Để ý thấy khi kết thúc trận đấu Momota không hét cũng ko nằm sân ăn mừng dù WTF tiền thưởng cao nhất trong các giải thì đủ hiểu Momota nắm phần thắng chắc như thế nào. Mình ko có lời khuyên cho Ginting vì em nó cũng đã đến ngưỡng giới hạn của mình. Chỉ có 1 lời khuyên nho nhỏ cho Momota là cầm tiền thưởng về thì đưa cho mẹ cất liền chứ ko thấy có nhiều tiền thì ác mộng 2015 ập về thì lại khổ vì phải làm lại từ đầu có khi châm dứt sự nghiệp lun. Nói chứ Mo đánh kiểu này ngoại trừ cày nhiều giải liên tục hết pin hoặc chấn thương chứ bình thường thì khó ai có thể thắng Mo vào thời điểm hiện tại.

Có lẽ các tay vợt TQ mới có phần khắc được Momota: như Chenlong suýt thắng Momota, SHI Yu Qi thắng Momota Final năm ngoái, thắng đậm ở CK Surdiman Cup. Hiện chắc chỉ có SHI Yu Qi là cửa sáng nhất, mỗi tội bị chấn thương
@@84tknn cùng ko chắc bạn ơi. Shi tuy có hay nhưng những trận thắng của Shi đều trên đất tq nên rất có lợi thế tâm lý. Vả lại hình như tỉ lệ thắng của Mo vẫn hơn. Lối đánh của Shi rất tối không biến hóa, dễ bị bắt bài. Chen long thì 2 trận vừa rồi Ginting nó tát cho xanh mặt. Chỉ có Ginting là có cơ hội thắng Mo cao nhất vào lúc này. Nếu hỏi đối thủ nào Ginting cảm thấy bất lực nhất thì mình tin là Ginting sẽ trả lời đó là Momota. Cảm giác giống như đi thi biết trước đề bài mà giải không ra.

Menurut saya skill ginting di atas momota. Tapi sayangnya ginting sudah hilang fokus dan stamina di tengah pertandingan sehingga banyak mistake.
Memang itu kekurangan Ginting, blum stabil blum bisa kontrol diri, klo skill menurut saya di atas momota, tapi momota kelebihan nya stabil dan bisa kontrol diri

that's normal skill of pro player when not in under preasure ...Ginting was so tired because of doing powerful smashs in 3 sets. that's why Momota could play freely in his way and got the champion
Today Ginting use a cold compress behind his neck in Indonesia Master, to keep his stamina from draining like what Momota did and it give a good result for Ginting and could winning this tournament so well. If it contribute to maintenance stamina during a hard and exhasuting rubber game points it will give a chance for Ginting to winning rubber game against Momota soon.

You have to say Momota is in all respects a real champion. Ginting had a 6 point advantage and then almost due to his own faults, he gave them away. All Momota did was wait for you to make mistakes, to drain out of power, ... and almost effortless beat his opponent. It was patience, mental power and the will to win. Ginting is, I believe, the most spectacular player in this match. It is absolute excitement and joy to watch his attacks, and unbelievable returns of Momota's smash. Pity that as the end of the pandemic is not in sight, several months would go before the two great players will meet again.
