Hello from Huntsville, Alabama! Really cool to you guys giving my Huntsville Havoc and the SPHL some love. Love the channel guys. Keep up the good work!
I love seeing these videos about the SPHL. I’m from East Tennessee so the ice bears are my closest team I love going to these games and watching this league.
I used to live in Blacksburg Va, which was not too far from Roanoke. The Berglund Center, formerly known as the Roanoke Civic Center, is a somewhat older arena which was recently renovated. There has been talks to build a designated hockey arena in Roanoke (the ice rink is only a secondary feature of the Berglund Center). The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs (not really a fan of the name) is a relatively new team, however Roanoke used to be home of the Roanoke Express of the ECHL (The most successful and popular hockey team of Roanoke, unfortunately run into the ground by less than stellar management) and the shortly lived (1 season) Roanoke Valley Vipers of the UHL. Virginia Tech's club hockey team also plays at the Berglund (which are pictured in this video, wearing the orange uniforms) and every year regional police and firefighters play a charity game which is popular among the locals.
Hello from Birmingham Alabama. Our arena is small but the games are amazing. We are so happy to get the bulls back the fan base is amazing. Thanks for shining lights on us
Was born and raised in Fayetteville NC ( unfortunately ) and the logo isn't because we hunt foxes lol. They are called the Marksmen because of Fort Bragg which is close by. The fox is there I THINK because we have a large amount of red foxes I'm not sure tho. I prefer the Fayetteville Fireantz personally. The logo was cool and a cooler name IMO.
Assuming that you stil live there and still go to home games when you get an opportunity, when they do kids nights, are the kids who bring those plastic horns (the ones that were heard nonstop during the world cup in south africa, I am not one hundred percent sure which year that one was though, but I believe the year was 2010 still invited to go onto the ice and blow hem as loud as they can? and also, do you recall when that promotion was introduced?
I just want to state that I had no idea what the SPHL was before this. So, thanks for that guys it is always cool to be introduced to new hockey leagues and teams. Keep up the great work
I miss the old Peoria Rivermen logo Ive been to multiple games over throughout my 29yrs of life. They do ever once in a while bring back Retro night and wear the old jerseys. Favorite former player Ben Bishop

I’m not sure where you guys got the picture for the Pensacola bay center but it looks like a pic i took! Haha. Longtime channel viewer and Ice flyers fan here !
I don't know if anyone has told you anything about the Berglund Center or not, but the stadium was built back in the late 80s and was known as the Roanoke Civic Center, to make way for then Roanoke Express of the ECHL. The team made some runs to the playoffs but never did much after making the playoffs, in 2003 the left making way for the WCHL to be swallowed up by the ECHL. In 2005 the Roanoke Valley Vipers of the UHL came into town but only lasted one season. Since then the stadium was rented out by Virginia Tech for their hockey program and for the Roanoke Youth Hockey Association of the Carolina Hockey League. Just recently in 2016 the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs were placed for the SPHL.
Just a bit of a note on the Berglund Center, that is an old picture from a Virginia Tech game from before the Rail Yard Dawgs called this home (no RYD logo at center ice). There have been numerous upgrades to the arena, Including a new scoreboard, new seats and some added floor seating.
Thanks for the comment! I'm actually not uploading content on this channel anymore, but I would love it if you could subscribe to my new channel Post2Post Productions where I am making more Hockey content! th-cam.com/users/post2postproductions
Knoxville Civic Coliseum was opened in 1961, it may be old but I still enjoy seeing games there, also of note Mississippi RiverKings used to be the Memphis RiverKings and had played in the Mid-South Coliseum there until it closed. It was there the first time I got to see Hockey
The Propst Arena did not used to be this modern. It was remolded around 2008. A full service bar and ice sweets. About to undergo a even better remodel.
Love the Ford Center in Evansville. Live about an hour from there and used to be a season ticket holder (before kids)….still go to a handful every year
I was born in Roanoke and I love the Dawgs I Go to all the games except away m6 fav player is Spencer Kennedy (in my opinion) Thank you so much for looking at our rink!
The Pelham Civic Complex is actually a great arena. The Bulls actually share the arena with the University of Alabama Hockey team in the ACHA- American College Hockey Association
The peoria civic center (Rivermen) is actually a multi purpose venue. It has a theater, convention areas, the arena, exhibit halls, meeting rooms etc. So it isnt just the arena. so thats probably why it gives more office vibes, kinda feels the same way inside too haha.

Wait til you guys see the arena for the SPHL team coming to the Quad Cities! Gorgeous arena, NHL level ice rink and locker rooms. The Taxslayer Center in Moline, Illinois.
We are season ticket holders of the Fayetteville marksmen and the Fayetteville fireantz before the bacame marksmen but all these years I have never seen that and I think that they would just be blocking of seats because we usually only take that first section around the ice so that's probably what that is
I used to be able to see the landers center from my apartment complex. Back when the kings where in the CHL. I haven't been to a kings game in a few seasons
If you look up an aerial view of the Knoxville civic colosseum you’ll see that it’s like the American Airlines arena only instead it goes fully across the building

Birmingham is a new team, and they’re based in a building with multiple rinks originally used for youth leagues and I’m assuming adult leagues as well.
I would like to point out that the Pelham Civic Center was not finished when that pic was taken of the inside. The arena is only in phase 1 of 2 and will expand to 5500 seats and re build the entire front of the building.
As the person who sent the photos in, trust me it was difficult and I do know this fact. But I had to go off of the most recent and best photos and renovations are still ongoing and I did point this out to Neil when sending the photos in.
Knoxville needs a new stadium, I love the Coliseum, but it's just not a hockey venue. The ice isn't even regulation size and the locker rooms leak when it's raining.
Hello from Huntsville, Alabama! Really cool to you guys giving my Huntsville Havoc and the SPHL some love. Love the channel guys. Keep up the good work!
GO ICE BEARS! NO HAVOC!
WE ARE CHAMPS

Go rail yard dawgs

Knoxville is old but it is a kickass place to watch a game
@Your boy you replied to a comment from 2 years ago. Fuck off
@Your boy shut up ice bears are crazy good this year
The outside of the Birmingham Bulls arena looks like a public library.
I live in Knoxville and just watched an ice bears game recently
James McBrayer My dad played there in college at UT
Those banners from the rivermen are the old ihl championships before they went to the ahl
The picture for the outside of the Knoxville Civic Coliseum is actually the entrance to the auditorium side
As a Huntsville Havoc fan love when you guys look at the sphl. And see what you guys think of our team
My hometown team is the Pensacola Ice Flyers

The Ford Center in Evansville is a beautiful building. It holds 9,000 for hockey games. Go Thunderbolts!!

Just visited the Knoxville ice bears arena and Bridgestone arena in Nashville today!
See a Mexican Wrestler in instead of a bull's head in the Birmingham Bulls logo. Now I can't unsee it.
That's really cool all the teams of the sphl are on there
My brother used to play for the Macon Trax, pretty cool to see the rink he played in.
The Pelham Civic Complex is actually a great arena. The Bulls actually share the arena with the University of Alabama Hockey team in the ACHA- American College Hockey Association
You should do a video on USHL arenas.
The peoria civic center (Rivermen) is actually a multi purpose venue. It has a theater, convention areas, the arena, exhibit halls, meeting rooms etc. So it isnt just the arena. so thats probably why it gives more office vibes, kinda feels the same way inside too haha.

Ford Centre in Evansville was a former ECHL arena
I used to be able to see the landers center from my apartment complex. Back when the kings where in the CHL. I haven't been to a kings game in a few seasons
Can you do one on big ten hockey arenas?
The Ford Center is Gorgeous! I've been there a lot.
I played for Radford University and the Berglund Center was our home rink
The Marksmen in Fayetteville is a military reference. Fayetteville is home to Fort Bragg, a huge US military base.
Lets go marksmen
You go up in Huntsville not down lol and Huntsville holds the record for attendance we sell out nearly every game
I can’t explain how much I love it when Chris is in a video! 😂
Chris Wilkinson Yooo Chris has a Channel!?
The IHL logo for the Rivermen is the best they have ever had.
Without question. I remember when they moved on from it - sad day.
From Mississippi, it's really cool to see
before they became the Jacksonville Icemen, they were the Evansville Icemen and the Ford center is where they use to play.
2017-18 SPHL champions THE Huntsville Havoc!!!!!! Good video!
If you look up an aerial view of the Knoxville civic colosseum you’ll see that it’s like the American Airlines arena only instead it goes fully across the building

Love these vids! Do a video about classic stadiums (i.e. Boston Garden, Maple Leaf Gardens, Chicago Stadium, The Igloo, etc.)
Evansville used to house an ECHL team so that’s why it looks nice. Now the Jacksonville ice men but formerly Evansville ice men
Go Ice Bears
Colby Flatt From Jacksonville Florida, miss headed to LeDump on road trips.
Great logo review too
Been waiting for this!
I've been too the landers center twice
ICE BEARS
Evansville is actually very tiny inside just talking about the seating and they only have like 200 fans each game
Anybody else just love Brent?
Fayetteville’s old logo was better in my opinion I loved the fireantz
Me too. My family used to go to the Fireantz games quite often. They were very entertaining. The games now are just to stagnant and boring.
I see games at the Pensacola bay center all the time there isn't a bad seat in the house
And great guess Neil it seats 8000
Marc Methot is still there that nice to see
6:32 I guess that’s why it’s nickname is the hanger
Hello from Detroit.I love when you do these videos, could you do ranking OHL arenas please.Great Video, keep up the great work
We will do all leagues in time
I basically grew up in Von Braun, they use to have an Arena Football League team there called the Vipers.
And the Hammers
The Columbus Jackets League. (The logo has the star thingy coming around)
i miss my cottonmouths but im so thankful columbus ga has another hockey team. rooting on the columbus riverdragons in the fphl
I wish that my Louisiana Icegators was still in the league,Would love their opinion on the Cajundome.
I got my blades replaced at the Birmingham ice rink
5:50 Brent does not look entertained. He looks tired or constipated.
I always thought the Berglund Center in Roanoke was great until I saw everyone else's arena. Roanoke needs a new one.
Birmingham is a new team, and they’re based in a building with multiple rinks originally used for youth leagues and I’m assuming adult leagues as well.
Love these arena Vids...how about old NHL Arenas!
The crown colloseum is like my home we go to every game since I was big enough to walk
marble racers we’ve been going to ice pilots games since before I could walk
please do whl arena ranking video
I’ve played at the river kings arena
evensville is also home to the college basketball team the purple aces so that why arena big
The pic used for the Havoc is for certain games but for most games it's a sell out
I would like to point out that the Pelham Civic Center was not finished when that pic was taken of the inside. The arena is only in phase 1 of 2 and will expand to 5500 seats and re build the entire front of the building.

Two seasons ago a guy who played for the pensacola Ice flyers scored a goal at 0.01 seconds to make the ice flyers win the championship
The ice flyers might be getting a new arena and if we don’t the bay center will get a renovation
I am in the Peoria Rovermen Fans Club And Love The Rivermen
Would love to see a logo and/or arena video on the NCHC college league!
