Elmira season ticket holder here…personally I enjoy the Fed…games are very competitive and intense… officials are very professional…teams and players are community friendly….players and coaches do very well with interacting with their fan base, especially the younger fans. Even visiting teams are kind to the fphl fan base…I’ve personally talked with Danbury players and thier head coach … both were extremely personable and willing to take time for a conversation… I do the fed stays around here in Elmira… I couldn’t live with myself if I have to support the black bears…
That's great to hear Matthew. Agreed on the positive community interactions from players to coaching staffs from what we've seen across the board. It's always nice to see and positive for the game- especially to inspire the young ones 🏒 Glad you enjoyed the content on the league!!
Loads of great info here. I became a fan during the current season. Saw some fine play. Have to brag a bit, my Binghamton Black Bears just won the Commissioner's Cup, sweeping the playoffs! Looking forward to next season.
Thanks Kenneth- we're glad you enjoyed it 💪 🏒 🏆 Tip of the hat to your club on taking home FPHL league hardware. They had a solid roster and some great players there this season!
Good question. That short few-second overlay clip at :23 is one of the few licensed clips we purchased so not sure about the specific arena, but the one following it is from Biloxi Coast Coliseum. Hope you enjoyed the video!
Thanks Jordan. You got it 🎯 🏒Our teams already working on it- just wrapping up a couple more interviews for latest insights w/ players + coaches in the league. Should have it released in next month or two!
@thatguyaknow5557 joe pace, is the one who chugged the beer on the ice, he was with us for one or two games down in baton rouge, beacause our bus broke down so we flew our starting line out, but Joe pace and his beer league friends decided to help us out and play for us (with our starting line) basically it was just a fed moment
Very rare indeed. It's definitely an edge case with a player of his caliber stopping play on paper for over half a decade and then playing again. It's much more interesting of a story as well in that he didn't just play a game or two for fun post retirement. He spent substantial time in the Fed and the coast upon returning to the game. Awesome and unique story regardless!
We should do an episode on the Sea Wolves team and location....we've been placing players in Europe for the past 12 years so that's our main lane but we've scouted and attended numerous minor league games in the US over the years. Biloxi Coast Coliseum and the Biloxi/Gulfport region is one of the best setups location-wise in all of minor league hockey 🏖🏒😎
I believe if a certain owner stops monopolizing on the league and cramming their teams in Harry Potter closets and invest in better bussing and travel and the league look into expanding in the middle states I believe this league could be much better. Topeka is not a good idea next season at all. I don’t see that lasting long.
@@harleyrandygreen3597the league teams have many owners but one man owns several in whole and parts of a few others.. without him there would be no fphl in many of these cities today. Most teams fail due to poor controls of expenses.. ie 3 non hockey folks put in money and start a new team in XYZ city then they go bust in 2 to 3 years. So money gets burned on stupid stuff and so there are money calls when the bus blows up. Then they end the team since it is not a business but a hobby of burning cash since they are not versed in running a business. .the entire budget is crazy tight so none of these teams are going to have brand new buses.. there is not enough cash flow to support that.. So folks who have been to NHL games or ECHL games complain why doesn't the Fphl do this or that. Ie giant party's. Free cigar boxes. Free t shirts. Free tickets. Lol
Good question. Pay wise- it's not for the far majority of players based on current pay ranges across the FPHL. That being said, a good portion of players work quite during the off-season so that during the hockey season, they can focus their efforts on playing (we cover this in a section of this video). Some players choose to work flexibly during the season as well alongside players who are doing online school, and so on. Hope this helps answer your question a bit further.
@@countrydawn418 Correct. In North America, there's less leagues as well and more guys aiming to play post junior and college. In Europe, you have a wider range of tiers across the continent. In our experience if players don't have a clear path to move up in the minor league system in N America, players can both make better money and have a better life experience playing overseas 👍
Meet Dan^...he's our new in-house geographer. Not only does he remind us all that the FPHL is not based in Europe...but he's just a great salt of the earth type of guy that loves hockey.....and also happens to be world class at all things geography related 😉🏒🌍 next beverage "in Europe" is on us!!
Congrats to your team. They had a strong season/playoffs with some quality players making a big difference this season in them bringing home the hardware!
Danbury Hat Tricks Fan here, 2023 Commissioners Cup winners, pioneers of the “Hey, You Suck” and “Save, Save, Save” chants, I love our team haha
This leauge gave my hometown our hockey team back with the Mississippi Seawolves which is dope
A top location in the whole league...walk out of the Coliseum, cross the street, and you're walking down the beach with your toes in the sand 💪 🏒🏖

Black bears are a game away from a championship. Elmira team is gone after a year.

Do Finland!
Good idea. We've helped place a lot of players in leagues there throughout the years. Planning to do a video on Finnish leagues 💪 🏒
What is the salary in the FPHL in a week.
4:49-5:08 just talking about the carolina thunderbirds 😂
Who is that in the video?

See, I was understanding that this league is owned by one person, or one ownership group which is why I'm turned off by it.
