Right?! I noticed that he just stopped. He's so smart though! I wonder if Sean could have gotten away with, "Go get the sheep and herd them to where they are supposed to be." 😂❤
Never realized I could be so fascinated, totally enchanted by watching your channel. I love it. Sean you are so open, without nonsense regarding your life and work. Your narration is spot on. Thank you for sharing.
"Echo"that - another great example of wonderful teamwork in diverse beautiful & rugged terrain. How did those sheep run amuck? Good young boy Echo! Thanks for all you share Sean + Stacey & border collies extraordinaire! In awe, Lynn C from Pacific NW Washington state, United States
I really like the fact that when you're done you praise your dog and let him know he's done a good job it's obvious that you have a good working relationship. Good morning from West Virginia USA
US here. I was an only child and my border collie, Queenie, was like a sister to me. She was trained by my uncle, and for some reason, he decided she wasn't working well anymore. I'm so glad he gave her to me. Watching you and your collies is so heartwarming. I spent a month in Scotland, and I loved it. So everything about your TH-cam show I love. Thank you, thank you!!!
Beautiful Job......I half expected you to tell Echo to go get the bike and bring it to you....such a smart and well trained dog....(smile).....Such a joy to watch!!
US citizen here with an elderly half border collie rescue dog. In watching your sharp and beautiful dogs, I am seeing why she was such a quick learner as a pup; is such a close companion to our family; is sensitive to our words; and has never tried to run away or wander except for one time we were away and there was a storm…. Then she was looking for us I’m sure! Your homeland is a stunning reflection of the majesty of our Creator God. I have roots in a village there, but now at my age will likely never see it in person. However, I can enjoy it a bit vicariously thru your well-done! Appreciate your hard work as a younger man !
What a lot of rugged terrain for shepherd and sheepdog! Why did this group of sheep get so far out from the rest of their herd? Naughty sheep! That immensely talented border collie is very good at his job and happy to do it! A long walk for a shepherd is often all in a days’ work. And the sheepdog puts in a lot of miles too. Thx for sharing a tougher day then some days, Sean. Echo seemed to enjoy the work, being with you and being a beautiful dog! Blessings to you, Stacey and all the furry babies! ❤❤❤
I’m shocked these dogs don’t know how to drive your ATV! My God they are well trained! Well done you. You’re still in prayers for the IVF, hope you’ll have your own little lamb soon! ♥️🐑♥️
Good boy Echo! 🤗🐾👏🏻 That was so beautiful to be part of. Thank you Sean for bringing us some beauty, joy and excitement (of course) for the day! Love visiting Scotland when watching. Blessings from Melbourne Australia. 🙏🏼❤️
This was a complex operation and you and Echo made it look easy! What an incredible team! He hears you from such a long distance, and you aren’t shouting. He has great hearing! Our BC became deaf at around 8 years. We all learned a bit of sign language. Your weather is just like mine here in western Washington U.S. having an outside job makes it tolerable! Thank you are your videos. I love your pups so much.
Thank you Sean and Echo. A truly delightful experience watching this sheep herd being moved. Beautiful scenery. Wild country up there. I was charmed. 🇨🇦
What a way to start my day. The scenery is beautiful. A man and his dog herding sheep, lovely to see. I can get on with my day with beauty in my head. Thank you so much for sharing. Love and prayers from N. Carolina, USA
Amazing! The speeds in which Echo maneuvers along the terrain, makes it appear effortless...although we see the tongue flopping, we never see a struggle...most humans on the other hand wouldn't be able to speak after running up & down hills like that, lol...Echo's athleticism is attributed to your incredible knowledge of exactly what these dogs need 💕 Great job to both of you!
Thank you for allowing me to experience some of your life in a beautiful country with you amazing dogs. These are my new favorite calming videos in a world that is so full of chaos.
I can now see why so many of my family settled in the hills of West Virginia. It reminded them of the rolling terrain of Scotland and home. It's impressive where a man and a dog can go that a horse and mechanized vehicles might not. Your job obviously comes with quite a workout for both man and dog(s). ❤
Scotland should your videos for tourism adverts. You show the most beautiful countryside with absolutely perfect music accompaniment.

💥Dang it Man💥 ⛰️You’re up on the knarley knob dancing around the mountains tackling a tangled trail. 🍀Great work with Echo🍀 🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐕🐕💨 Here on the Pacific Ocean coast in the USA, OR. Thank you Sean💗 I love the moments you share with us from the other side of the world 🌎
Echo is such a good dog. Its lovely to see how obedient he is and how smart. Ive been checking your channel for a few years now and its still amazing how you have such a good relationship with the dogs and sheep. Good job❤
I also enjoy watching the real time commands and responses and the amount of patience when dog gets it “kind of correct”. Makes me think it’s not about perfect behavior, but rather a pattern of understanding. 🐕❤️
Thank you Sean for another stunning video sampling your beautiful country and the insanely talented Echo. What a gift to be able to work outside doing what you love (and are very good at!) with a canine companion (or two or three), doing what they were bred and so very well-trained to do. The energy and enthusiasm of your working dogs is contagious--no wonder all of us in distant lands look forward to every new video showcasing their joyful lives! You often ask what would we like to see in videos. Honestly, for me it doesn't matter what aspect of your farm activities you show because they are all soothing for townies like me. What I love most about your presentation is that you often explain WHY you do something, whether it is keeping those opportunistic rams away from the vulnerable ewes or moving lambs onto the salad bar field of turnips and kale, which by the way looked good enough for human consumption! I do appreciate learning the reasons farmers do things because we non-agricultural folks could certainly learn a lot from you. (Special kudos for the video on roaming, and how important it is to leave gates as you found them). Your lessons in working dog vs pet illustrate why Kate so exceptional since she is both, but that concept might have gone right past me if you hadn't explained it so clearly. Your narration is very thoughtful and well-spoken. Combined with the great camera work, every video is a joy to watch again and again.
Watching the control Sean uses providing navigation of the sheep by Echo working in mixed terrain is always enjoyable and lifts my spirits. Some years ago I was in what is genuine wilderness and for the first time in decades saw the night sky, saw the stars, and realized another world so many humans have lost or dulled many senses. There is no hour in my urban setting that there is not sufficient light to get around and the sky is just, well, distorted by the lighting of the city including the suburbs. What vistas most of us will never see.
Thanks Sean for sharing your life with us. Oh, how I love handsome Echo! He IS a good boy! I was thinking that you two had a long walk back to the bike, and glad that you explained a shortcut! 💚💚💚🏴🏴🏴
Good boy Echo! Thank you Sean, for all the panoramic views of the mountains and countryside, absolutely stunning. I was sitting back in my chair watching you pan, and it relaxed me so much! But when you guys were having to walk next to that cliff and the other side was a drop.... had me nervous! I knew you'd said it was a safe path to take them on though!🤩🤩
We loves this video bc it shows off the outstanding work between Sean and Echo, as well as Echo's very talented and well trained herding abilities. Also, it was a gorgeous view of your lovely Scottish countryside- plus showing how much your personal daily work incorporates some extremely rugged territory for you and the dogs to cover!😮 Thank you for an excellent video, with a big Good Boiii to Echo and Sean!😊
I watch the channel for the delight of seeing happy dogs expertly handled, doing what their DNA made them for. But I also love seeing the gorgeous Scottish countryside!
WOW beautiful scenery❤ I have to hand it to you and the dogs Sean, you all are really tough. When I’m having a bad day at work and am tired I just remember how hard you guys work and I it encourages me to push harder. I usually get your videos on Sundays and they can put me in the proper frame of mind for the week to come. Our lives are better because you share your’s with us.
I'm so impressed with the both of you. Echo is absolutely fantastic. Such an asset. Not to put a dollar amount on him, but he could be insured for a million, get health insurance, and many days off. But he seems to be doing if for the love of it all. Seriously, he is beautiful to watch.
You truly showed us the real instincts of the border collie and the the way he took commands perfectly. It was like he knew what he was doing before being told. I'm sure he did. His mind is always on work. He does everything you tell him, it is genetically breed in him. For thousand of years man has had the dog by his side to herd and protect the sheep. That is where our border collies come from. I hope you keep up the beautiful work you do with them. It is a sight to behold.
From California, USA. I love the breed! My most dog was Bell Star, she managed Bighorn cows, Texas here in California. Wow what a good girl she was had a good retirement… Now I have an English shepherd which is a descendent of the breed and I love them. Enjoy your videos immensely.
This is really cool. Completely different herding situation, and watching Echo do his thing was great. Such a beautiful dog. I love his big ears and long fur.
Echo is brilliant ! Loved watching you both at bedtime for me here in Australia ! Best wishes to you Sean for sharing your days with us and to Stacy too ❤️🐕🇦🇺
So enjoyable to see the dogs working on an actual farm. Better than watching a competition or exhibit. I would be interested in learning more about your commands.
Oooh what a wonderful life you have, and wonderful dogs also. Congratulations for doing your job with so serious and attention. You, your wife and your animals deserve the best. Best wishes for you all. From Montpellier, south of France, Francesco SCOZZARI.
It's a good thing both you & Echo are fit, that was quite the uphill walk! So very beautiful at the top though. Echo kept looking back at you on the little path when you said "Lie down," as if to say, "In all this mud? You're joking, surely!"
Wow, that was a bit steep in places. Echo did great. He wanted to lie down where there was puddle water to drink! He has come so far in his training and instincts. A bit of exercise for you also, Sean.
Echo and Storm are very exceptional dogs, Sean. They love you to pieces, too, which motivates them to work hard to please you ! Those 2 dogs are worth 10 ordinary herding dogs !!
This March marks 100 years since my grandfather came to canada. I have never been to scotland but a wee brogue comes up when i am angry or excited. I hope to get there some day but in the meanwhile your videos give me a flavour
Echo didn’t want to lay in the mud today 😂 good job Echo!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful countryside. ❤
Thanks for watching!
Right?! I noticed that he just stopped. He's so smart though! I wonder if Sean could have gotten away with, "Go get the sheep and herd them to where they are supposed to be." 😂❤
@@jillsy2815that is basically all the directions Kate is given😀
I watch the border collies every night before bed for a happy sleep. 💕
Echo earned a treat and a nap after that. You got a nice workout too.
You got that right!
Never realized I could be so fascinated, totally enchanted by watching your channel. I love it. Sean you are so open, without nonsense regarding your life and work. Your narration is spot on. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you yeah I use a lot of verbal praise
That’s what they really want. Just a positive voice from you. Good job well done

Echo is such a good sheepdog! I love how when you tell him "lay down" and he looks around for a non-muddy spot on that little path :D
He is a good boy
It's like he's saying "here? Really??" Lol
High maintenance boy ❤

What a great team! Echo seems to read your mind! ❤🐾
You choose great music for each video! I even added one song to my play list! You know your fun dogs’s personalities so well from your teamwork!
Complicated and highly physical herding job today. Great job Echo and Sean. I loved looking at the beautiful landscape. ❤

And unlike my office job, Sean doesn’t have the option of calling in sick to sleep in and rest.
Echo is a good laddie. Bonny too.
I'm so impressed with the both of you. Echo is absolutely fantastic. Such an asset. Not to put a dollar amount on him, but he could be insured for a million, get health insurance, and many days off.

Another winner. I was impressed that Echo knows the context of the commands. "Lie down" does not mean literally lie in the mud.
Echo is a true champ! And talk about hilly terrain! A bit of a walk back, for sure, it’ll keep you in great shape for sure! Thanks for posting. ❤
Never get tired of watching the amazing dogs working, and they love it 😊
Plus the sheep are so confused about where they should go. Beautiful videos. ❤
From California, USA. I love the breed! My most dog was Bell Star, she managed Bighorn cows, Texas here in California. Wow what a good girl she was had a good retirement… Now I have an English shepherd which is a descendent of the breed and I love them. Enjoy your videos immensely.
Good to see that Sean got some exercise 😂
It’s definitely needed
Beautiful!! You both are Amazing!! ❤ It sometimes looks like the sheep wait or look to Echo for which way they are to go.
love the sight of those hills .. would I want to walk up them? NO :) Thanks Sean.
Glad you enjoyed
This is really cool. Completely different herding situation, and watching Echo do his thing was great. Such a beautiful dog. I love his big ears and long fur.
Echo is brilliant ! Loved watching you both at bedtime for me here in Australia !
Best wishes to you Sean for sharing your days with us and to Stacy too ❤️🐕🇦🇺
Beautiful rugged country! Quite the work out you both get (well the sheep too) Bless you!
Echo didn't seem to want for you to catch up :) What a cool video - thank you.
Another fine job done, in the draughty winter on an exposed ridge. One dog n his master Thx again 😊
Morning Sean and dogs, Echo, Storm
Michigan USA
Morning 😃
So enjoyable to see the dogs working on an actual farm. Better than watching a competition or exhibit. I would be interested in learning more about your commands.
Sean, you are blessed. The scenery is breathtaking.
It is clear that herding sheep in such terrain would be nigh impossible without the able, masterful assistance of your dogs.
Thx Linda. I can only go by what I was told not being a “sheep woman.” Your explanation makes sense.
Clever clever Echo!! Beautiful scenery !! ❤️🦘
Oooh what a wonderful life you have, and wonderful dogs also. Congratulations for doing your job with so serious and attention. You, your wife and your animals deserve the best. Best wishes for you all. From Montpellier, south of France, Francesco SCOZZARI.
Thank you so much!
Echo really has come on amazingly - showing his heritage, just like his mum and grandma. Such a good boy
Another excellent video, Sean. Thanks for sharing. Echo is something to behold.
Just love it! Thanks for clip! Dogs are really remarkable!
Love your videos. Enjoy watching your hard working dogs and beautiful Scotland. 😍
Thanks
That is some rough terrain to work with there, but Echo is up for the job.❤
Beautiful countryside my kind of place. Echo Super Dog, Keep it coming Echo Love your style.
Beautiful scenery and very hard work by Sean and Echo
It's a good thing both you & Echo are fit, that was quite the uphill walk! So very beautiful at the top though. Echo kept looking back at you on the little path when you said "Lie down," as if to say, "In all this mud? You're joking, surely!"
Almost missed this- great video of Echo working so hard and you’re lovely relationship with each other. Get home safely Sean ❣️✌🏼
Good boy, Echo! ❤ 🐾 😊
Beautiful scenery and a givies a good example of the physical exertion for dog and man. Thank you for this.
I love your videos. I Enjoy the beautiful countryside but it looks cold and windy. And the DOGS, of course.
Thank you.
What an awesome work out for the both of you! Great job!!
Have a peaceful rest of your weekend ❤❤❤
Same to you
Great Job Echo ❤ he is a good boy🎉🎉🎉 wow that cold wind is making your ears cheery red
Great watching Echo work. Shows how clever a collie is. Also how important you are as a team. Thank you
Thanks for watching!
Wow, that was a bit steep in places. Echo did great. He wanted to lie down where there was puddle water to drink! He has come so far in his training and instincts. A bit of exercise for you also, Sean.
That was a workout for both of you! Echo is really growing into an awesome herder. He's a smart boy!
I think so too!
Echo and Storm are very exceptional dogs, Sean. They love you to pieces, too, which motivates them to work hard to please you ! Those 2 dogs are worth 10 ordinary herding dogs !!
Don't forget Kate the Great ❤
Thank you
Love the coconut scent of that yellow gorse 😊
The best!
This March marks 100 years since my grandfather came to canada. I have never been to scotland but a wee brogue comes up when i am angry or excited. I hope to get there some day but in the meanwhile your videos give me a flavour
