St.John, Agios Theologos, is alive on the Earth as Henok and Elijah. He's tomb was found empty next day. Justinian built on that empty tomb magnificent basilica, 7-8 km from Ephesus.
He will not be spared martyrdom since he will appeared during Antichrist time and will be witnessing for Christ in martyrdom.

One based-upon-the-true-story book that well covered John persecuted by Rome, including being boiled in oil, yet surviving unharmed, is the book Patmos, by David Stoeckl . It is a Biblical Novel that covers John's arrest, his dramatic appearance before Domitian Caesar, being poisoned, (he didn't die), being boiled in oil, (he didn't cook), then hastily sent to a penal colony in Patmos where he eventually received the Book of Revelation. Also, most people do not know how John established a new Christian church there, plus was used by Jesus for many miracles. It's a wonderful book if you want to know more about John on Patmos.

This is a lie of the Gentiles. John was not killed. It is not written in the words of God.
What the Jews and Gentiles should know about the future:
Prophecy foretold the Lord God will turn the earth as His Kingdom, and His people will govern it for an everlasting time. Before the restoration comes, Lord Jesus Christ will destroy the world by the use of natural disasters, deadly sicknesses such as heart stroke, famine, and wars. He will make them fight one another until they perish, and their cities, countries, and homes will become desolate. His mission with these catastrophes is to remove everyone, nation, and government that will come against His Kingdom. They cause suffering, violence, environmental problems, and oppression in the lives of His people. Also, He wants His people to have large lands or farms without taxes to pay, and neither go to school for many years before they can get work, get influenced to sin against Him, worry about crimes, and suffer persecution for living in the righteousness of God.
      Daniel 2:44
And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.
      Acts 3;20-21
And that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.
The question is WHO ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD? Christ made it clear to us, He came only for the children of Israel and children of Zion. They worship God in Spirit and in truth: Mount Zion and the House of Israel are the only two holy places that came out from the mouth of God and obtained the salvation of Christ. Children of Israel and children of Zion are the only two names for the children of God. They possess humility and obedience. Their way of life and governing law are based on the Law of Moses and Christ teaching, or ways and righteousness of God
      Psalm 149:2
Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
      Isaiah 64:5
You meet him who rejoices and does righteousness, who remembers You in Your ways.
      Matthew 15:24
But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
Catholics, Christians, and Muslims churches did not come from the mouth of God. They mixed God and the ways of the world, and their hearts hate the Law of Moses. People who worship God through these churches are not going to make it to the Kingdom of God unless they repent from serving Him in their own ways. Yet, even the Jews who do not believe in Christ and humble and meek will suffer the penalty of error.
      Isaiah 57:13
When you cry out, let your collection of idols deliver you. But the wind will carry them all away, a breath will take them. But he who puts his trust in Me shall possess the land, and shall inherit My holy mountain.
      Isaiah 64:5
You meet him who rejoices and does righteousness, who remembers You in Your ways. You are indeed angry, for we have sinned- In these ways we continue; And we need to be saved.
      Jeremiah 15:7
I will destroy My people, since they do not return from their ways.
      Zechariah 5:4
“I will send out the curse,” says the Lord of hosts; “It shall enter the house of the thief and the house of the one who swears falsely by My name. It shall remain in the midst of his house and consume it, with its timber and stones.”
      Isaiah 56:6-7
Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants- Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, and holds fast My covenant- even them I will bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer.
      The Spirit and the bride
Gabriel, an angel of the Lord
      Daughter of Zion
      Mount Zion, Heavenly Jerusalem

@@carlanthony1724 thank you. But the Bible says there is only one intercessor, Christ Jesus. Mary is dead. God forbids us to try and communicate with the dead. No "early Christians" (Peter, James, John, Matthew, Thomas, Bartholomew, Paul,Silas, Barnabas, et al.) ever refers to Mary as Queen, or any other Title. They never asked her for her opinion about anything…….. (Luke 11:27-28).--- The last time Mary is mentioned in Scripture, she is in a prayer meeting (Acts 1:14) with 120 disciples. None of them honor her, none of them reverence her, none of them pray to her; those are the historical facts regarding the Biblical Mary. The Biblical Mary has nothing to do with Catholicism's "Mary".

John received the promises of Eternal life in the flesh.....He could not be harmed nor killed unless he chose to be harmed and chose to give up his life. John did not die. As the last living Apostles he alone retained the Melchizedek priesthood on the earth. John request of Jesus was that he should not see death until Christ return. Tough Jesus did not confirm it, neither did he deny his request. John would be needed when Jesus set up his Church on the earth again. To restore the Melchizedek priesthood. The lower priesthood would always remain on the earth because the direct sons of Aaron are born automatically having the priesthood of Aaron.

When he returned to Ephesus he gave a sermon in which he spoke only 3 words: Love one another. I believe this video erred in claiming John died at age 80. He was closer to if not north of 90. He was the Apostle whom Jesus loved. Praise God almighty.

Tertullian in A.D. 200 wrote, "at Rome, the Apostle John, having been immersed in hot oil, suffered no harm at all from it" (The Prescription against Heretics, chapter 36). The claim is that because John wasn't killed that it led to his banishment to Patmos. Thus, it is an old story, but our record of it is 100 years after the claimed event and it wasn't recorded by inspiration. Jerome in A.D. 397 refers to Tertullian's account but makes the mistake of adding to it, claiming that it was Nero who ordered John's execution (adv. Jovin, I.14). This is a sign of a fable when embellishments are added -- especially impossible ones (Nero was dead when this event was supposed to have taken place) that come from people not living during that time. It was Jerome who also said that John came back out preaching.
While there might be some truth behind this fable, it has too many markings of embellishment -- in this case trying to explain why John was on Patmos (Revelation 1:9). For that reason, I would treat it as a fable unless better evidence surfaces.

So God intervened.Same when Peter was delivered from the prison by an angel. As a follower of the Christ we expect to suffer for preaching the truth and we chose to pick up his torture stake and continually follow him. But be wise as serpents and innocent as doves
Reprove an evil person and you will get injury. And Christians don't fight..reprove twice, then take your leave. As far as it depends on you be peaceable and reasonable with everyone, just like Jesus. If they hated the master they will hate the disciple.

    1. prologue
    2. testimony of John the Baptist
    3. testimony of John, the beloved disciple
Then take notice that both testimonies end in the same way. Then take notice that 1st testimony begins by mentioning John the Baptist. Then check who is mentioned in the very beginning of the 2nd testimony. Then you will know the real identity of the beloved disciple.

Jesus promised John that he would continue to live until He, Jesus, would come a second time. Where is he ? We don’t know but we must accept Jesus’s word on this. Just because 2000 years have passed one cannot discard Jesus’s word by assuming that John died a natural death and therefore we’ll all have to wait until all of this becomes clear.

And the Lord said unto me, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, because thou desirest this, thou shalt tarry until I come in my glory and shalt prophesy before nations, kindreds, tongues, and people. And for this cause the Lord said unto Peter, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? For he desiredst of me that he might bring souls unto me; but thou desiredst that thou might speedily come unto me in my kingdom. I say unto thee, Peter, This was a good desire, but my beloved has desired that he might do more, or a greater work yet among men, than what he has before done; yea, he has undertaken a greater work; therefore, I will make him as flaming fire and a ministering angel; he shall minister for those who shall be heirs of salvation who dwell on the earth; and I will make thee to minister for him and for thy brother James; and unto you three I give this power and the keys of this ministry until I come.

There are there books mentioned in The Holy Bible, one The Book of Judgement and The Book of Life and The Book of the Dead, the fourth book is actually the first one mentioned is The Book of Records, Enoch wrote about The Book of Records in his book. Saint John the Prophet did say the books are open, he only mentioned two of them, The Book of Life and The Book of the Dead. I did some research on this while i was in Bible studies, i even wrote about it. So it hard understand The Book of Revelation, i do believe The Book of Revelation is a hundred percent accurate and The LORD our God's words is always true, The LORD God never contradicts himself, because he is a Holy and Righteous God, his Holy Kingdom of Heaven is open to those who believe that he is our Grate King and Creater, who Created everything and everyone for Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Not quite true that there is "no bearing". There is nothing in scripture because these events happened after the NT was written. Accounts of the martyrdom of the rest of the Apostles also have their basis in such "traditions". The earliest account of the Apostle John's boiling in oil is generally attributed to Tertullian c.200, who writes that it occurred during the reign of Emperor Domitian. There is some debate among historians about the extent of Domitian's persecution of Christians; whether he officiated an empire-wide persecution or whether the rest of society simply took it's cues from a few targeted persecutions. Tertullian was a Carthagenian Christian writer and historian, and he is generally considered to have been a real person.
